-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-. Dipper's POV -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

"DIPPER!!!!!!" I heard my name being shouted from the other room. I put down the weaponry I was helping Wendy with and went to go investigate the source of the yell.

"Yeah?" I asked. Peaking my head in the doorway, I saw Mabel, Soos, and Old Man McGukkit leaning over some blueprints.

"Bro-Bro, do you think you can go and get a few things for McGukkit? We're missing a few things for the blueprint and McGukkit can't continue 'til he has them!" My twin sister Mabel yelled with a smile. I shrugged.

"Eh, sure." I said, still standing at the doorway. From my place in the room I can just make out some of the plans scribbled out on the blueprints.

"Hey thanks dude," Soos ushered me over to the table, where I got a better look at the plans. "Here's a list of everything you need." He said, holding out a folded up piece of paper.

"Alright. I'll be back." I state, heading back to the door.

"Most 'a the things I need can be found in the town ruins." McGukkit said, never once lifting his gaze from the blueprints to look at me. I nod.

"Okay, I'll be back," Before I slipped all the way through the door, I looked back at the trio. "-and if Wendy asks, tell her I'll finish helping her when I get back."

"No prob, Bro-Bro!" Mabel said, smiling and waving.

"Be careful, dude." Soos said, more enveloped in the plans to look up at me.

"'Cya." I said before walking out of the room, leaving the three to their work. I sighed softly and looked out the window to see if any of Bill's henchmaniacs were outside sifting through any rubble.

"Great..." I said through clenched teeth. Outside were those dumb Eye Bats, flying over and turning moving objects into stone. There was no way I was going to be that ignorant as to step outside when those things were flying about. I groaned, turned away from the window, and started to walk away.

Flap.

I stopped, dead in my tracks.

Flap.

Slowly and cautiously, I turned around.

Flap, flap.

It was the bats. I looked out the window again and saw something I never thought I would really see. All the Eye Bats flew away in a quickened frenzy. That's strange.... they usually leave one at a time and as they please. They never flew away in a group before. I slowly walked back to the window, watching the odd phenomenon.

"Weird... wonder what's gotten into them.." I thought aloud to myself. I shrugged it off as nothing. 'Maybe they were called back by Bill or something.' I rolled my eyes at the mention of the demonic tortilla chip. 'Either way I don't care. Now I can go get the supplies for McGukkit' I thought, walking to the door and peaking out. Nothing or no one remained outside- which was good for me. I stepped out into the weird air and looked up at the sky to see the monstrosity up above. Demons and such leaked out of the giant tear up above. I sighed at the sight and stepped off the Mystery Shack's porch and out of the "unicorn force field".

I shivered. Not from the cold, but from the uneasy sense I was surrounded in. But than again, this IS Weirdmageddon, would anyone expect anything less? Not wanting to show any sign of being a coward, I stood up straight, took a deep breath, and started walking to the town ruins.

·*·*·*·*·*·*·*·*·*·

My mouth hung agape as I saw just how much destruction the town was in. Everything was in shambles, barely anything left intact. 'Certainly there isn't anyone else left.... they must've all been taken back to Bill's castle...' I mentally sighed remembering everyone who was still missing. Wendy's family, Lazy Suzan, Shandra Himendez... Grunkle Ford... I shook the sadness away. Now was not the time to be sad. I had a job to do and I need it done ASAP. I grabbed the list that Soos gave me out of my pocket and examined it. It was just simple things, like certain tools not in the shack and odds and ends stuff.

I slyly made my way over to McGukkit's abode and entered. I scanned the list and found almost everything I needed in there. 'Well this is easier than I thought!' I thought triumphantly, fist bumping the air. 'Now all I need to do is find a few odds and ends things and I can head back.' I think, walking on the abandoned streets of Gravity Falls. I start rethinking the parts leading up to and parts of this whole honorific scenario.

'Alright, my sister and I got into a quarrel and she ran outta the house and into the woods. Before she left, she tried to grab her bag but accidentally grabbed mine. That wouldn't have been a problem, if the rift separating Bill's dimension from ripping into ours wasn't inside. But Bill somehow tricked Mable into giving it over, and thus started this entire process....' I kept thinking to myself until...

Slam!!

I ran face first into the store wall.

"Ouch...." I mumbled, removing my hat and rubbing over my birthmark. I kept grumbling and walked inside the abandoned mart. 'Okay, this, that, and lastly....' I groan, seeing the last supply stuck on the highest shelving unit.

"You're kidding..." I whisper yell to no one in particular. Sighing, I climb the shelves and grab the thing.

"Aha-GAH!!" I yell as I lose my footing and start plummeting to the floor below. I groan in pain and rub my head, standing up. There's a sharp pain going throughout my foot. 'Ah jeez....' I think as I wince at the pain. 'I gotta get back to the shack' I think frantically as I pick up the supplies and leave the already empty store.

·*·*·*·*·*·*·*·*·*·

I stood in front of the door to the Mystery Shack after limping all the way back thanks to my fall. I reached my hand out to the doorknob and was about to twist it when--

Crackle.

Snap.

I retracted my arm and looked behind me. My eyes widen and I drop the things I was carrying.

"Grunkle Ford...." I ran over to the edge of the shack excitedly, ignoring the throbbing pain pulsating through my ankle. How did he get away from Bill? How did he turn back from gold? Ford ushered me over with the wave of a hand. I quickly went to him. But as soon as I was about four feet away from him he turned and ran into the woods, waving me to follow. I looked behind me at the shack and hesitated. But then I remembered hey, this is my great uncle. I can trust him... right? I turned on a heel and followed the old man further into the woods. 'He's probably a little worried Bill will spot him. He'll explain when we stop.'

Grunkle Ford stopped abruptly, making me almost bump into him. Almost.

"G-Grunkle Ford! Y-You're okay-- but how did you escape from Bill--" I was cut off as a fog blurred my vision.

"Ford?!?!" I called out. No answer. The fog cleared, and I gasped. Grunkle Ford was gone.

"Oh no... oh no oh no oh no!!!!" I screamed, looking around frantically. I followed Ford so deep into the woods that now I'm lost. There were twists and turns so it's not like I could just turn around and walk back either.

"Well, well, well. Long time no see, eh, PineTree~?" An all too familiar voice said. I froze in place, not daring to move a muscle. Not even to respond

"Fancy seeing you here, PineTree~. I thought for sure you would've been planning something with the other survivors. Well, I guess you wouldn't be since I lured you out here with old Sixer. Which reminds me; where are the others?" The voice said. I closed my eyes and took in a shaky breath.

"W-what do you want, B-Bill?" I asked, still standing completely motionless. Bill's voice became closer, sending a slight shiver down my spine.

"What? Can't I just talk to an old friend~?" Bill asked.

"We are not friends Bill and we never will nor will we ever!" I said a little louder than expected.

"If you're going to talk all high and mighty, PineTree, then you may as well look at me." Bill said. I gasped as I was spun around, now standing face to face with none other than Bill Cipher.

"What. Do. You. Want. Bill?" I asked, making my voice as edgy as I possibly could. Bill chuckled.

"I thought I just answered this?" Bill giggled, swinging his cane like a baton. I rolled my eyes.

"I mean what do you REALLY want??" I pushed. Bill giggled maliciously.

"I want to make a deal."

"W-w-what-t?!" My eyes widen. Not another deal. Bill leaned back in the air and closed his eye.

"You heard me, kid. I want to make a deal." I looked at him and quickly thought. 'Okay his eye is closed. This is your chance. Run away, QUICK!!' I turned on my heel and quickly tried to run but was stopped by a blue chain. I looked down to see myself locked up and chained down. Bill laughed.

"Kid, did you REALLY forget who I am?? I'm the all-powerful mindreading dream demon, Bill Cipher!" Bill leaned closer, and his eye arched like a rainbow signalling- what I think at least- is a smile. "Note MINDREADING, PineTree~" I blushed out of embarrassment. How could I forget that?!?! I brushed it off and sighed.

"Anyways, what's your deal, Bill?" I ask. If I'm stuck here then I may as well know what he's proposing as a deal. He shrugged.

"Well, it's quite simple. I won't hurt your friends or family." Bill said, twirling his cane. I furrowed my brow.

"And what do you want in exchange?" I asked, only slightly intrigued. His eye went up again and he put a finger right above his bowtie where I can only assume his mouth would be.

"In exchange... I want you to stay in the Fearamid with me and my henchmaniacs. You won't be able to leave. EVER. And in return, I guarantee your family's safety!" He responded. My eyes widened like dinner plates.

"Th-THAT'S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN BILL!! WE WILL FIND A WAY TO STOP YOU NO MATTER THE COST!!!" I practically screamed at him. Bad choice.

"Oh really?" Bill said, mischief and madness dripping from his words.

"Not even for Shooting Star? Not even for Fez? Not even for Sixer? Not even for Red or Question Mark's safety? Even if their lives depended on it?" His last sentence was cold and sent shivers down my spine and sent needles in my heart. I sighed.

Not even for Mabel, Grunkle Stan, Grunkle Ford, Wendy, or Soos? They're my friends and family, I can't just wager their lives on a whim! They all deserve to live full lives! But in this situation... that last thing they'll do is live full lives... I have no other choice.. I have to do this.. for them.. to keep them safe.

I'll do it for them..

Bill's eye went up again indicating a smile. He lifted his hand and familiar blue flames engulfed it. He extended it toward me.

"So, we have a deal?" Bill asked, placing his other hand on his hip. I clenched my eyes shut and extended my hand out to him.

"Tick tock, kid. Hurry up I wanna go and watch some people suffering." He pushed. I grabbed his hand, the blue flames never once burning me, only leaving behind a little light tingling sensation. I shook his hand. And his eye went up again. He placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Glad you see it my way, PineTree~. Now let's go!" He said. I just stare at the ground. His words mean nothing to me. They're just blank, empty thinks spoke by a voice. I stare at the ground as tears flood my vision.

I did it.

I made a deal with the devil...
