I Am From Everything

I am from the playhouse,

Sunsets,

Skipping rocks,

And mud pies.

I am from my favorite Decady,

My mom's ring,

And my dad's hat.

I am from corners,

Pain and hurt,

Hiding eyes,

Fear,

Denial and lies,

Anxiety,

Unshed Tears,

Blood covered arms,

Loneliness,

And Juju Bees.

I am from writing,

Sharp edges,

And rubberbands.

I am from maple trees,

Playing in the dirt.

Planting in the garden,

And the creek that runs through my backyard.

I am from love,

Hugs,

And friends,

I am from loss,

The things he did to me,

Death,

And Funerals.

I am from everything I've ever

Seen,

Felt,

And heard.
