                                   ~~~~~ Kylie - Kissing you're troubles away  ~~~~
     The moment ended way too quickly. The closeness was incredible. The girl’s face was so close to her own. The girl’s breath hitting her face and the smell of her body were intoxicating.
But, it ended too soon when Alex picked her up. Kylie closed her eyes trying to hold on to the memory for a few more seconds. When she opened them, even though she hated herself for it, Alex was dragging her at full speed down the sidewalk. It took her a couple seconds to figure out what was going on. Her mind was blurry due to the fact that she was holding Alex's hand. She let the girl drag her, heck Alex could take her to hell and back for all she cared. All that mattered was that Alex was holding her hand.
She didn't pay attention to anything else other than fact that she was holding hands with the most beautiful girl she has ever laid eyes on. Alex's black hair went in all directions due to the wind which made Kylie laugh when she saw Alex fighting with it trying to get it out of her face.
"We love you Alex!" Kylie snapped out of it when she heard the screams. She regretted turning around when she stumbled and almost fell to the ground. Alex of course, had a tight grip on her and did not allow her to fall.
"I was just riding my skateboard listening to music, next thing I know hear someone say my name. These girls have been chasing me for blocks." Alex answered when Kylie asked what was going on. The girls kept chasing them for a few more blocks. Soon they were both out of breath.
When Kylie realized that she was no longer holding hands with Alex, she stopped and ran back to her. The girls soon caught up to them and gathered around the both of them encircling them.
They had t-shirts and signs with Alex's face on them. When a girl approached Alex, Kylie had to fight the urge to kick the girl for getting so close to her Alex. Yes HER Alex.
But this girl was.... beautiful. There is no denying that fact. Kylie then turned to the girls who most of them, were all looking at her. To say the least, she was terrified. There had to be at least 50 girls in front of her giving her dirty looks.
When the girls surrounded them both, Kylie immediately grabbed Alex's hand. A scared expression crossed her face as she saw the girl who introduced herself glared at her. The girl was physically built.
She felt a squeeze on her hand and look down to see Alex holding her hand. When she looked up Alex had a breathtaking smile on her face. Kylie couldn't help but blush a little and smile at the girl.
A strand of hair fell onto her face but Alex put it behind her ear. Kylie was surprised but then looked at the girl forgetting everything and everyone. Nothing mattered other than that moment shared.
When the moment ended Kylie looked at the girls who turned to her with angry expressions. Kylie had enough of this and stood in front of Alex and spoke with confidence.
"Now you guys listen and listen good because I'm only going to say this once, if any of you ever chase Alex around again I swear on all that is mighty that you will spend some time in juvenile detention or even jail." The words had great power as she spoke and looked at every single girl in the eyes. They were scared, no they were terrified.
Kylie grabbed her things tight and Alex’s hand even tighter. She walked forward not allowing the girls to speak. The girls spread out like the red sea when Kylie and Alex passed them by.
"Have I ever told you, that you are the bestest friend in the entire world?" The words caught her by surprise. Alex was right, they were friends. Yet Kylie couldn't help but wish with all her heart that they were something more than just friends.
"Bestest is not a word Alex." Kylie looked at the girl and said. Alex just laughed.
"It is in my dictionary and it has your picture next to It." this made Kylie blush again. The girl was funny.
The walk to school was quiet but again it was never awkward or uncomfortable. They were still holding hands as they walked side by side. Once they both realized it, both of them split and broke embrace both blushing like crazy.
Once they arrived to school Kylie followed Alex to her locker since she had no other place to put her things. Kylie avoided everyone as she saw how they were looking at her. As a junior and captain of the cheer leading team she should never talk or even acknowledge the presence of a freshman.
Anthony was nowhere to be seen. Kylie kicked herself for not thinking about him earlier, she would have to apologize for not calling or seeing him later, right now Alex was a higher priority.
"Hey are you okay?" Alex waved a hand in front of Kylie's face getting her attention almost immediately.
"Yeah sorry, so I'll see you next hour and don't be late I need some books." Kylie couldn't help but wish for first hour to finish so she could see the girl again.
"I could just give you the combination." Alex turned around and faced Kylie after putting a textbook in the locker. She had to raise her head to look directly at Kylie but for some reason Kylie could not look at the girl without blushing. This of course made Kylie look away.
"Fine I'll just see you next hour." Kylie expected Alex to leave but before she did, Alex went up to Kylie and gave her a kiss... On the cheek.
Alex's lips were soft against her skin. The kiss was quick but effective. The kiss could get her through the whole day. Alex walked away while Kylie felt her check and was still stunned at the girl’s actions. What did it mean? She asked herself watching ad the girl turned the corner.
Not celebrating it any longer, Kylie just went to her first hour not bothering to look for or text Anthony on the way.
Now all she had to do was to wait until first hour was over to see the girl who had in a way, kissed all her troubles away. This would be enough to get her through the rough times she is going through.
~~~~~

After a long day at school and another cheer-leading practice, Kylie went in search for a job. The search was a long process. All the places she went to required her whole day which she could not do. School was the most important thing, she had to graduate so she can go to college and be lawyer like she had promised herself. She under no circumstances would suffer as much as her mother suffered and is suffering.

The search went on for 2 long hours. The nurse job she had gone to was her best bet, but the hours would not allow her to go to cheer practices nor any school games.

After about half an hour of walking aimlessly around the city, Kylie came across a flower shop. A help wanted poster was on the door so Kylie didn't hesitate as she opened the door determined to get the job. Once inside she set her things on the floor and looked for the owner or an employee who could help her.

"Hey do you work here?" a man behind her asked Kylie. She turned around and faced the man. He was in his mid-30s with an elegant suit.

"Umm-" Kylie had no chance to response. The man just assumed she did and went on.
"I need your help. My girlfriend broke up with me and I want her back. What kind of flowers can I give her so that she will be mine again?" The man ran a hand through his hair looking around at all the flowers. He was a mess.

"Well that depends." Kylie knew nothing about flowers but gave it a shot. "How is she like? What's her favorite flower? Her favorite color? And most of all - how much do you love her?"

The man stood there deliberating. "She loves roses especially orange roses. She loves the sunset and sunrise. If it were up to her everything in the world would be orange."

Everything the man said reminded Kylie of Alex. She didn't have to think much. "Give her a single orange rose, get on one knee, and tell her that if it were up to you, the whole world would be painted orange just for her."

The man did as he was told and went up to the cashier and bought the rose. He gave Kylie a quick hug thanked her and left the store.

"Wow, you're hired!" Kylie turned to the voice surprised. She got the job. Wait what?

"Umm I-" Before she could respond many customers entered the shop.

"Can you start right now?" the woman threw Kylie a red apron. Kylie looked at the apron and then at the woman. Is she serious? Kylie asked herself not really believing what was happening.

"Come on please I need the all the help I can get. I lost two employees today." the woman pleaded. Kylie sighted and put the apron on. She needed the job.

Kylie had no idea what she was doing. The customers asked her the most confusing questions that no normal person would know the answer to. Yet somehow, Kylie managed to hold it together and sell half the roses and other flowers in the store.

"Okay that's it! You are now my new official flower girl. I so owe you." Kylie took off the apron suddenly uncomfortable. The praise was too much. She was not use to someone praising her work. It felt strange.

"Umm I need the job, but I have school and cheerleading-"

"Please please, I swear we can work something out. Just say you'll work for me." The pleading look was too much. Kylie nodded her head and gave in. The woman jumped up and down in delight. Kylie laughed and extended her hand.

"I'm Kylie Balthazar."

The woman shook Kylie's hand and smiled from ear to ear. "I'm Rachel smith."

"Hey do you know where I can find the closest bus stop? I need to find a hotel." Kylie was by far more embarrassed than ever before. But Kylie had never been to this side of town. This was the rich side and in her mind she did not belong here nor would ever belong. Anthony and his friends came here not Kylie.

"Umm yeah the closest is about 5 minutes away. Not to be nosy but why do you need to find a hotel?" Rachel asked.

''Well I kinda got kicked out of my house.'' Kylie responded looking at the ground. A single tear escaped her eye and fell to the floor. She watched it fall till it shattered as it hit the white tiled floor. It was the first time she actually came to realize that she no longer had a home to go to anymore. She can no longer call the place she had shared with her mother and brother, her home.
