"No bro. You remember the plan, don't you?"

"By the end of today, I'll finally tell her!"
You walked around just about everywhere with Mettaton. For the entire day, he took you to literally every shop in the Underground! He had bought you so many new clothes and items, more than you could ever ask for! You thought it was a little suspicious that he kept you as far away from certain areas as possible but you shrugged it off as you didn't want to get in anyone's way. You were sat on a bench in a newly built area of the underground. As you knew what the outside world looked like, you helped Mettaton and many others recreate it. To be honest, it made you feel so much more at home! You started to miss the WORKD above but you were too happy to leave all of your friends behind! You were sat eating a nicecream, thinking about this when Mettaton tapped your shoulder.
"Oh darling? We need to go! Do you have everything that you want?" He asked, holding your hand.
"Haha, yeah! Everything and more!" You smiled.
"That's good. We have a very special surprise for you today! I can't wait to show it to you!" He looked so excited!
"You do? This was enough though!"
"Oh surely it couldn't be! You deserve all of this! Now come on!"
The two of you walked to the MTT Hotel. Mettaton had kept you away from that area and you soon learned why! It was decorated with f/c balloons and glitter and a banner that said 'Happy Birthday Y/n' in huge sparkly comic sans.
"Oh my- This is amazing! Thank you so much!"
"Oh this is only the beginning!" Mettaton smirked. Suddenly, the doors opened revealing just about every monster you made friends with dressed up holding presents and cards.
"Happy birthday Y/n!" They all said in unison. You could tell they had been practicing. Everyone piled up the presents in the hotel lobby then waited for you to go into the main hall area. You opened the doors to reveal a dance floor, food bar, Dj and Sans and Papyrus stood right in the middle. You ran up to them immediately and hugged them both.
"Thank you so much for all of this!"
"No problem, N/n"
"YOU DESERVE ONLY THE FINEST!"
Suddenly, another pair of arms wrapped around you. The feeling and warmth of the embrace seemed so familiar. You turned around to see Toriel, hugging you tightly.
"Hello, my child. You have grown up so much since I last saw you" she smiled, teary eyed. The skeletons stepped back, letting you hug your mother.
"I've missed you so much!"
"I know you have, I have missed you just as much"
"Please don't leave again" You mumbled.
"I promise I will not. You can visit the ruins whenever you need to" She smiled then let go. "How about we get this party started?" She smiled.
"You're right!" You smirked.
"Let's get this party started!" And your those words, the party commenced.
Muffets was making a lot of money from your party and to thank you, she and Sans had made a cake especially for you! They used the most well known human recipes and replicated a cake mix made by *Betty Crocker. Half way through the party, the cake was brought out. Four *tiers, greens, reds, blues and pinks, edible glitter, or nine ta and decoration, it was one of the best cakes you had ever seen!
"This is amazing!" You gasped at the sight. Sans handed you a knife. Normally, he would be hesitant about this but this time, he completely trusted you with it.
"Do you want to do the honours?" He grinned.
"I don't want to cut this cake..."
"You could say it's... Too knife and pretty" Sans sniggered.
"Get out!" You smirked. That was awful but one of the best puns you had heard all day. Even Mettaton attempted to make a couple puns, just for you.
"Wait a second! We still need to light the candles!" Muffet said quickly. She took a lighter and lit all of the candles. I was easy for her as she had many extra hands and small spider friends to help. Everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to you whilst you sat, staring at the cake. You never knew what to do when everyone sang this. You just awkwardly sat, smiling and staring at different things and cameras. You didn't think anyone knew what to do when they were in your situation. No one knows.
"Make a wish!" Sans said, nudging you. "I wouldn't blow out those candles, they really are the icing on the cake"
"You've been waiting all day to make that, haven't you."
"Yup, but seriously, make a wish. This chapter is long and this cake looks delicious and I wanna eat it"
"Hahah alright I will but it will be hard!"
'___(insert wish here)__' you thought as you blew out the candles.
"Now I may do the honours!" You cut into the cake to see chocolate leak out of it. This really was the best cake, even if it was made my Betty Crocker! You shared out the cake between everyone then saved some for yourself, it was your cake after all!
"Hey! Look what I found!" Alphys suddenly came out of nowhere with a... Karaoke machine covered in glitter.
"It has anime songs! There's this really cool one called drop pop candy and I think-"
"Alphys, everyone does drop pop candy. I think you and Undyne do it!" Sans suggested. With that comment, both Alphys and Undyne went scarlet but sung their hearts out. Everyone applauded them but Alphys had a plan.
"Y/n, w-why don't you choose a song?" She asked.
"Hm? Oh yeah!" You went onto the stage and looked at the machine.
"So we can change the lyrics in certain areas" You soon found after clicking some buttons.
"Give me some time, I have an idea!" You pulled up a chair and began to fiddle around with the lyrics. It would fit you and Sans perfectly!
You were soon done and called Sans over. He was on stage noes I he couldn't go back now!
"What!? Wait! No I can't sing!"
"You'll do fine, Sans! Come on, it's my birthday" You smiled pleadingly.
"Fine..." Sighed Sans. At least he wasn't singing first!
You checked the lyrics, it worked! The intro began and so did your part. You weren't nervous at all and began to sing.
"The clock stopped ticking forever ago.

I don't know."
Then it switched to Sans.
"I can't get a grip, but I can't let go
There wasn't anything to hold on to though"
Then it switched between you.
"Why can't I see?"

Then switched to you together
"What the hell's going on?!

You looked at each other, then started to laugh. The audience applauded, you were so happy! And as if it couldn't get any better, Sans told you to close your eyes. You did as he said, the crowd still watching. You would have never expected him to do it but...
He kissed you!
Or at least did whatever you could consider a kiss from a skeleton. The crowd cheered once again. You were Crimson! Sans's smile faded. He must have thought you were upset or didn't love him back but you kissed him back to confirm your feelings. He blushed blue as you hugged him.
"I love you Y/n! I have for such a long time!" He smiled.
"I love you too, Sans!" You giggled.
After those words were said, you danced the night away. Sans made everyone sing the best song in existence, to him.
"Never gonna give you up!

And desert you!

And hurt you!"
After that might, Sans was finally, truly happy and life in the underground couldn't have got any better for the two of you! No more resets, no more worries. Toriel and you were reunited and you and Sans visited the ruins regularly to see her.
You never expected a happy ending when you fell down all that time ago but you got one, and possibly the best ending you could ever get. And it was all thanks to those two words...

In all seriousness, thank you so much! At the moment, I might take a break from Wattpad for a couple months now. I've been on it for a loooooong time. Much longer than you think (since I was 11, it explains my awful work) so I think a break might be good! I'll probably return in May then July but who knows??? I might not. I'm joking. I will return, I might not even take a break but I don't really know.
