Phil laid in Lyra's bed tossing and turning from the nightmare he was having.
Sweat ran down his temple as he kicked the covers off him. He gripped the covers as his nails began to turn into claws.
He thought maybe just maybe digging his claws into something could alleviate the pain, but it didn't work so well.
Phil took long deep breaths as he felt his jaw break, that's when he screamed.
"Dan, DAN!!!!!" Phil yelled
Dan must have heard his call because he ran in followed by Lyra
Dan saw what was happening to Phil and was shocked beyond belief.
Phil quickly stood up and looked at Dan and Lyra, his eyes the color of the sun
"I need.... Help" Phil said strained
Dan unsure of what to do ran over to Phil and hugged him tightly
Lyra was shocked
"Dan what are you doing, Phil could kill you!!"
But he didn't, he just embraced the hug as his claws turned back to normal and his jaw went back to normal .
Dan let go of Phil and laid him back down on the bed, he was fast asleep
Dan got up and walked out of the room followed by Lyra
"You've got to find the cure, fast, Phil doesn't deserve this much pain,... But I do " Dan said sitting on the couch
Lyra without saying a word, ran to her healing area and grabbed her spellbinding, she came back and started researching

A couple hours
Phil walked into the room stretching his arms and yawning
Dan and Lyra watched as he went over to the fridge and open it
Phil grabbed a raw pork chop and pulled it from its packaging with his teeth.
He went over to Dan and Lyra and began to pull at the meat with his teeth, the blood coursing down his chin
Lyra looked at Dan wanting to throw up
Phil swallowed the raw meat and laughed
"You should the look on your faces, priceless!!!" He licked the blood off his lips as he finished the meat
"I hope I wasn't like that when I was a werewolf" Dan said groaning
Lyra giggled as she kept on looking through her book
Then she found it
"Dan, Dan!!! I think I've found the cure" Lyra yelled
Dan looked at the page she was on and smiled brightly
He looked back up and saw Phil pacing back and fourth
"What do we have to do?"Dan asked
Lyra looked at Dan and frowned
"I can only cast the spell when he is fully transformed"
Dan got wide eyed
"No, no we can't let him transform fully!"Dan yelled
Lyra shook her head
"The spell won't work if he's not in his wolf form"
"We've got to act fast before Phil does anything stupid"
They both looked at Phil

That night
Lyra sent Phil to her room
"Are you sure you want to lock him up in your room?" I know from experience that werewolves can destroy and scratch up a room" Dan said
Lyra sighed
"It's ok" she said
Dan walked into the room and sat on the floor by the closet
Lyra looked at him in confusion
"I want you to lock me in here with him" Dan said
"What if he bites you?" Lyra asked
Dan shrugged
"I won't let him, but if he does I don't think it will affect me, because deep down, I'm still a .....werewolf"
Lyra nodded and slowly closed and locked the door
"Just yell my name when he transforms completely"

Phil sat on the bed and ran his head through his hair
"Why did you do this?" Dan asked frustrated
"I was tired of seeing you in so much pain" Phil said putting his hands on legs bad gripping them tightly
Phil had a couple tears in his eyes
Dan, realizing what Phil was doing freaked out
"Phil stop your claws are going to dig into your skin!" Dan yelled
Phil stopped and got red in the face, he rubbed his cuts and sighed
"Phil you shouldn't have done this, I'd rather fight my own battles, then let someone fight them for me" Dan said
Phil sighed
"I'm so sorry Dan" he said
Then all of a sudden Phil felt a pain in his chest, he stood up and held his chest
"Ugg why am im in such pain?" Phil asked still holding his stomach, sweat dripping his temple
Dan stood up
"Because it's starting" Dan said
Phil held his head as he walked over to the edge of the room and punched the wall
Dan jumped
Phil looked at Dan and smiled, showing his fangs
He felt his jaw began to crack and change shape, Phil fell to the floor as he began to scream bloody murder
Dan watched his friend change into a wolf in front of his very eyes
It was terrifying, hearing his bones crack and change form
Dan walked back and hit the closet door
"Lyra, LYRA!!!" Dan yelled

Lyra heard Dan's cry and began to say the spell

Dan watched as his friend ran up to him and tried to attack him. He kept Phil off him as best as he could but it was hard
Then all of a sudden wolf Phil stopped and fell on the floor
Was Phil dead Dan wasn't sure
Black smoke came out of the wolves mouth and went and entered Dan's throat
He breathed in and howled loudly lifting his head to the sky
Lyra barged in
"Did it work I heard howling" she yelled
She watched as the wolf turned back in to Phil
She looked at Dan
"Sorry the howl came from me" Dan laughed

In the morning
Lyra fed Dan and Phil breakfast
Rabbits blood for Phil and bacon and eggs for Dan
She watched as Phil gulped down the blood
"This is so much better then being a werewolf" Phil said flashing his fangs
Dan and Lyra chuckled
Later that day Dan and Phil left but not before saying their goodbyes
Phil put his hood up and smiled
He was happy to be back to normal but he still felt bad for Dan
