"Okay, um, I think you need to take your jeans off to fix your knees." I said, looking at Michael's bleeding knees.
Michael bit his lip and nodded, sliding off the counter. He avoided eye contact with me as he unbuttoned and pulled his skinny jeans off slowly. Michael pulled his sweater down to the middle of his thighs and I noticed he was red.
I lifted him back up on the counter silently, cleaning and bandaging his knees as well. "There. Done." I said quietly.
"Thank you." Michael mumbled, grabbing his jeans and almost running to his room.
I sighed and walked to the front door. "Michael? I think I'm going to go." I called out.
"Bye." Was the only muffled response I heard from Michael.
