"Yes pumpkin?" Cory said
"Jason the captain of the football game invited me to dinner after the game tomorrow may I please go?" I said
"Riley , you know I don't like him for you!" He said
"But what if i like him for me?" I said
"Well talk about this later! For now lets go and enjoy the fair!" He said i just smiled and nodded
I honestly didn't really like Jason its just my bff Maya had told me I should give him a chance! So I was like why not give him a chance ! But my parents dont seem to like him! My dad tried to set me up with a boy in my history class , Charlie Gardner ( i think thats how u spell his name 😂) ! And my mom says I shouldn't worry about guys right now ! Which I agree with! She said I will know when im ready !
Anyways I started to go on the farris wheel! I liked hanging out with my dad he always taught me new things !
"Pumpkin im gonna go to the restroom! While you wait you can go buy some cotton candy ! Here" he said as he handed me money! I smiled and walked away
" can i have the big bag of cotton candy?" I asked the lady
"Sure that would be $6.10 " she said
"Awe. I only have $5 . Ill wait till my father comes out!" I said
"No need here you go!" A handsome boy had said! I smiled
"Oh no need ill wait!" I said
"Dont worry i got it " he said as he payed the lady and handed me the cotton candy
"Thank you. Im Riley " i said with a smile
" I'm Lucas!" He said shaking my hand
"Hey pumpkin... Oh whos this?" My dad said
"Dad this is Lucas. I didnt have enough money to get the cotton candy and he lend me $1.10 " i said smiling
"Thank you , here you go " my dad said give Lucas the money back
"No need , well i got to go hope to see you soon Riley!" Lucas said and walking away

"Riley I saw you drooling all over him! He isn't right for you!" He said as we headed to the car to leave
