ALEX'S POV
It is the day of the prom, the high school prom. I am actually excited to go, I have been to many high school proms throughout my life but this one will be different. I will be with someone I love.
Uncle Elijah and Aunt Rebekah are back in town. Katherine gave the cure to Uncle Elijah and now Aunt Rebekah is asking him to give it to her. But I don't think he will. I walked down the stairs to the living room. I saw my father , Uncle Elijah and Aunt Rebekah sitting and shouting. "Well what's this? A family meeting without me?" I said "Come, sit my love. You should also hear about this ridiculous request your aunt has." I went and sat on the nearby couch.
"Elijah please tell our dear sister that she is out of her mind to think about having the cure" my father turned to Uncle Elijah "Your personal discomfort might not be sufficient for putting the entire world in jeopardy Klaus. I think our sister deserves a shot at happiness" he said. Wait what? Was he going to give her the cure? "Tell me you're joking, you're not fating me to an eternity of torture" My father said "I made my decision" Uncle Elijah said. My father got angry and stormed off "When you're sick and dying and you beg for my blood I will laugh in your face and compel you to forget me" he said to Aunt Rebekah.
"Where is the cure?" she asked Uncle Elijah "Rebekah it is good that you are impulsive, emotional and at times morally questionable. Prove to me that this isn't just one of your questionable behaviours" he said. "Well good luck with that Aunt Rebekah, I can tell you from personal experience that being this weak and vulnerable is the worst feeling one can have and that is from experience" I said.
Just then I heard the bell ring. "I'll get that" I said as I stood up and walked towards the door. I opened it and saw Damon standing with a bouquet of flowers and a smirk on his face. "Aww this is so sweet Damon." I said. He kneeled down on one knee and said "Alexandra Mikaelson, will you go to prom with me?" "Of course" I said and I kissed him.
"I knew that, but I wanted to ask you officially" he said with a smirk on his face. "And that is why I love you" I said as I started making out with him. When I was with Damon I used to forget all the problems that were going on. Everything was perfect for those few minutes. "How is everything? Did Elena get her humanity back?" I asked. "We're trying to. Stefan is taking her to prom so that maybe that could help in getting her emotions back." "I hope so" "I'm so glad Klaus has allowed you to go to prom" "Well, it was a struggle but he finally agreed." "I'll pick you up at seven" he said.
"I'll be waiting" I smiled. "I love you Alex" "I love you too Damon" I said and he walked away. I closed the door and sighed. Being with Damon was the best thing that happened to me in the last five hundred years. "Nice flowers" I heard Uncle Elijah's voice "Oh thank you" I said. He started smiling. "What?" I asked "Nothing" he said "Come on tell me" I insisted. "It's good to see that at least someone in our family is happy. I like seeing you this happy." he said. "I guess that's what love does" I smiled.
"Just be careful Alexandra" he said "What? why?" i asked "Just saying don't get yourself in it too deep, you do remember what happened last time?" He said "Damon is nothing like Richard. I know that" I said "I really wish so. No matter how much the Salvatore brothers are against our family, I hope that Damon is always there for you" he said "He will be" I said as I walked upstairs to my room.
As I started to get ready for the prom in the evening I got a call from Caroline. "Hey Care" "How are you Alex?" "I'm ok. What's going on?" "Elena stole my prom dress" "She did what?" "I went to collect my dress and the lady told me it was gone and when I asked her who took it she couldn't remember it." "Sooo..?" "The vervain is out of the town supply. Elena obviously compelled her to forget" "Ouch, that sucks!" "Can you do me a favour?" "Sure what do you want Care?" "Can you please dig into that old trophy collection of dresses down the ages and give me something I look good in? I want to look hot" I started laughing "Of course Care, I have no problem you can come and pick anything you want from my closet."
"Really? Thank you I'll be there at 8. I have some work" "Sorry Caroline but Damon is coming to pick me up at 7, you know what? I'll leave my room open, my father will be home you can talk to him and pick any dress you like" I said "You're a lifesaver" "That's what friends are for" I said. Caroline was the only one I could really get along with. I don't talk to Elena especially since she lost her humanity and I haven't talked to Bonnie in two months because she was one of the people responsible for killing uncle Kol. I wore a red ball gown and straightened my hair. "Your boyfriend is here" I heard my father's voice. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I hope nothing goes wrong today.
I walked down the stairs and saw Damon standing by the gate. He stood there speechless "You look beautiful" he finally managed to say. I smiled. "Be safe my love" My father said. "I will" I said. Damon and I walked towards a limo and drove to the high school. The high school was all decorated. It looked beautiful.
"Welcome to your first high school prom." Damon said "First?" I asked. "You've been to a prom before?" he asked "A few times" I smirked "Well this is the first prom where you'll have a chaperone as you date. Or is it?" "This is my first prom with a guy that I really love" I said. "And that's all that really matters" he said as he kissed me.
We walked inside the hall and it was filled with people. I saw Elena standing and talking to Bonnie and Matt. "Be nice" Damon whispered as he caught me staring at Bonnie and Elena. "I will try my best" I said with a smirk on my face. "I'll go and get a drink, do you need anything?" Damon asked "A fruit punch would be good" I said. "Coming right up" Damon said as he walked away. I saw Elena walking towards me. "Nice dress" she said. "Thank you, you look nice too" I said "Of course I do. I see they finally let you out of that jail cell of yours" she said
"Yes, I have a day off, it's prom after all" "But aren't you like a thousand years old what does this even mean to you?" "It means as much as it means to you" "Well, it doesn't mean anything to me" "Of course it does, it's prom" "Well, it doesn't." she said "How's it going ladies?" I heard Damon's voice as he came and stood right by me.
"I was just talking to your girlfriend about how lame it is for her to be a 1000 year old vampire to be obsessed with prom. Oops I just remembered, you're not even a witch anymore let alone a vampire or a werewolf. One shot and you'd be dead" she said. "You..." I was about to say something when Damon stopped me. I tried to calm down. "Well thank you for your concern" I said as I walked away. "Dance with me" Damon said as he grabbed my hand.
"Do you remember the first time we danced like this?" "It was three years ago, Mystic Falls Masquerade. We were there to catch Katherine" I said. "Time sure does fly by" he said. I rested my head on his shoulder as we danced for the rest of the song. "I'll just be back" he said. "Bonnie is walking alone into the forest, I have to see if something is wrong" "Sure Damon I'll see you" I said. As he walked outside the hall. I spotted Caroline standing in the corner.
"Wow Caroline this dress looks amazing on you." I said "Thank you. You look beautiful" she said. "Thanks. Why are you standing here alone?" "I should have been here with my boyfriend Tyler, but it's because of your father he is not in Mystic Falls anymore." "I am so sorry Caroline" "It's not your fault" "Listen I am going home. If anyone asks I will be there at the after party" "Are you sure? Do you want me to come with you?" "No it's ok. You enjoy your night. Speaking of that where is Damon?" "He's here" Damon said as he walked towards us.
"Is Bonnie ok?" I asked "Yes she is fine. There is something I need to talk to you about." he said "Sure what is it?" "Come with me" he said. We walked into the forest. "Listen Alex, something has been going on." he said. "What happened?" "I have finally realised something. That your blood is the key" "Key to what Damon?" "The key to the freedom of the other side" Just then I realised. "Silas" I said "The one and only" he smirked.
"Your blood is the answer to my problem." "Leave me alone" I shouted. He gripped my hand "No need to be stubborn. If I take out all your blood, you can come back as an original" he said. "I don't believe you, taking my blood will kill me" "You need to be killed to be born again as the undead, my magic will bring you back." he said. "No" I shouted as i was trying to break free from his grip. "Don't be so stubborn" he said "You help me and I will help you" he said "I promise" he whispered into my ear and then sunk his teeth into my throat. I could feel my vision getting blurry. The next thing I saw was darkness.

NO ALEX IS NOT DEAD, AND THIS IS NOT THE END OF THIS BOOK! I AM THINKING ABOUT WRITING A BOOK 3 BUT I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GUYS WANT IT OR NOT, PLEASE COMMENT YOUR OPINIONS ON ME WRITING A BOOK 3 BECAUSE IF YOU GUYS DON'T RESPOND, OR LIKE THE IDEA OF A THIRD BOOK, I MAY JUST FINISH THIS SERIES AFTER 2 OR 3 CHAPTERS
