My feet hit the ground with a thud. I take off running.
I glance behind me and see that three of the guys are chasing after me.
"You can run but you can't hide!" One of them shouts. I am not the fastest runner and I can tell that they are gaining on me.
I run for a little bit longer, when I come to the stream where they first found me.
Branches whip me in the face. I push through the forest. I am probably going to have a bunch of small cuts and bruises tomorrow.
The sun is fading in the distance and I will have to find a place to hide. When it gets dark they won't be able to find me, but it is not going to be darn for another half hour. Plus I can't run for that long.
I cross the river and soak my pants.
"Great," I mutter under my breath. I start to run again when I run into something solid.
