"How about ice cream? Or something to drink? They have lemonade," Stone said.
"Okay," Aubree replied as she lifted her gaze to the menu board overhead.
He sighed and rubbed his face. "I'm sorry about all this. I ruined everything."
She interrupted him with a gasp as she began to tug on the hem of his T-shirt, her eyes glued to the menu and her lips pulling up in a big smile.
"Look! We can buy dog treats!" she exclaimed, pointing to the sign.
Stone dead-panned. "I'm not a dog."
She scowled at him. "Fine. Don't eat them. I'm sure Alistair will appreciate anything I bring home for him."
**Later that day**
Alistair was sniffing through the kitchen when something curious caught his nose. He noticed a brown paperbag on the table with his name on it.
He gasped. "Cookies? For me?"
Ripping into the paperbag, he shoved an entire cookie into his mouth before gagging and spitting it all over the floor.
"What the hell is this!?"
"Don't you like it?"
He jumped when he noticed Aubree standing in the corner of the kitchen, pouting.
"Um..." he hesitated, not sure what to say, but not wanting to hurt her feelings either.
Her bottom lip trembled as her eyes brimmed with tears.
He swallowed, the vile cardboard taste still filling his mouth. "Of c-course, I do, babycakes. I just... choked on that one because it was too big to chew. See?"
Tentatively, he pulled out another cookie from the bag, his hand shaking, and lifted it to his mouth. It broke apart as he bit into it, and crunched between his teeth like stale bread, only it tasted like ass.
He forced it down his throat and grimaced-smiled at her. "Mmm... so good."
She walked up to him, her pout changing to an evil grin. "Now we're even."
His eyes widened as he watched her walk out.
SCENE 2
Stone groaned as Aubree pulled away, tugging on his arm.
"You're killing me here."
"You know you like it," she sang as he picked up his feet and let her lead him by the hand.
They grabbed their drinks from the table and set out down the path.
"Why do you have to be so difficult?"
She squeezed his hand in hers. "Because it's fun giving you a hard time. Plus, you're cuter when you're all flustered."
He raised an eyebrow at her. "Cute? I'll show you something cute. Behold, Mjolnir!"
With lightning quick reflexes, he whipped out a large metal hammer.
He grinned at her, wiggling his eyebrows. "Only those who are worthy can wield it."
Curiously, Aubree reached for it and lifted it effortlessly.
He gaped at her as she turned and looked at him in confusion. "So, what's so great about this hammer? I thought you were referring to your dick?"
SCENE 3 – Out-Take at Elf House
Aubree gasped before giggling and tugging on his arm. "Come on, come on."
Stone smiled and shook his head, letting her pull him forward.
When they reached the tree, she released his hand and got down on her knees before it.
A little wooden door about the size of Stone's large hand was attached to the base of the tree with a metal hinge and lion-shaped knocker. It looked like something out of a fairy tale, and Aubree couldn't contain her excitement over it.
"It's so cute! Look, it even has a little knocker! I love it!"
"I don't think an elf lives here," came Stone's cool reply.
She shot him a hard look. "Hey! You're walking on thin ice here, buddy."
