I met the devil.
I breathed the same air he did. Occupied the same space.
Now I know more than ever that what they used to say back home is true: the devil really does look like an angel. He's even worse than all the stories say. More terrible than anything I could have imagined. He's a nightmare. A hurricane disguised as a summer day. A demon walking around like a daydream.
Kai Parker is the most terrible monster I've ever known.
And I've known plenty.
