As we got to the gate a boy with a sheriffs hat on came and opened it for us.
"I'm Carl." He said holding his hand out for me to shake. Just as I was about to shake his hand something made me frezze.
"EMMA!!??" No it couldn't be. I whipped around to see my momma. I ran into her open arms as I cried.
"Your ok?" She asked worry.
"I'm alright." I said sobbing. I tore away from her arms and looked around. I didn't see my dad whitch was great, but where was my baby sister at?!
"SOPHIA???!!!" I yelled causing everyone to look at me but I couldn't give a shit. I looked back to my mom she had tears in her eyes. I fell to the ground.
"No. No. NO. NOOOO!!" I yelled I felt arms wrap around me but they weren't my mother's. I turned my head around to see a beautiful man with dark curly hair. I don't know why but I felt comfort in his eyes.
"I know this is hard, but you will make it you have to." He said his voice so soft and sweet. I nodded then got up and hugged my mom again. Just as I thought I was gonna be ok I got shoved back down when I saw him.
"Hey bitch. I thought you'd be dead by now." My father. Satan himself standing right in front of me. I ran. I ran laps around the prison while crying.
"HEY!!" The guy from earlier. I stopped even though I wasn't out of breath.
"You need to stop." He said
"No I don't. What I need to do is leave." I said through gritted teeth.
"Why?" He asked curiously. I didn't answer I just ran. And ran and ran. Eventually I quit when my legs wouldn't run anymore. I walked into cell block C where my momma was. I bumped into that guy.
"I never caught your name." He said looking right at me.
"Emma. And you are." I said with no emotion.
"I'm Rick Grimes. Take a seat." He said so I plopped down beside him on the stairs. "So what did you do before this Emma?" He asked me.
"Traning to be in the army." I smirked rembering sohia giving me the puppy eyes every time I left. A tear slid down my face but I quickly wiped it away. "And you?" I asked him after a minute.
"I was a cop. I was actually in a coma when all this started." He said.
"Damn." I said shocked. He laughed.
"Damn is right." He smirkied.
"Um do you know where I can sleep?" I asked even though I knew I wouldn't be sleeping. I would be crying.
"Yeah you can sleep with me. I have a spare cot since my son sleeps with a blonde girl named Beth." He said I bet his son was Carl. I smilied then nodded.
"Alright then follow me." He said leading me down a hall. "By the way your beautiful when you smile." He said not looking at me. I blushed then looked at my shoes.
"Alright here we are."he said pointing to a cell.
"Home sweet home." I mumbled. He busted with laughter.
"What?" I asked.
"Another person in the group said the same thing when we first got here. Y'all are gonna get along just fine." He said sounding tired. I threw my bookbag that has never left my back on the ground and collapsed on the cot. I started crying. Maybe 10 minutes later I felt someone else sit down.
"Hey hush it's ok." I heard Rick say. He wrapped his arms around me as I wept. Once I had no more tears left. I fell asleep in Rick Grimes arms.
