Riley's POV (three months later)
"Charlie called and said that everything's okay.", Farkle tells me. "He still thanks us."
I nod.
"That's great.", I say.
My eye catches Lucas, Maya and Zay coming.
"They're coming", I say.
Farkle turns around and waves at them.
"Morning", Maya says, as the three of them get closer to us.
"Morning.", I reply.
Lucas comes to me and places a soft kiss on my lips. I smile at him. I could get used to this.
"I don't believe we're gratuating in a few months", I say as we get in the school.
"I can't believe I'm even graduating", Maya adds and I laugh.
"Riley!", I hear my dad calling me.
He's just getting in history class.
"What's up?", I ask.
"Can you please take care of Auggie today?", he pleads. "Your mother and I are going to visit Shawn."
"Shawn?", Maya asks. "Tell him 'hi' from me."
"We will", my father smiles. "Riley?"
I roll my eyes.
"Dad, you're going to visit Shawn. Even if I say no, you're going to lock me and Auggie in, close all the windows and put cameras in the house."
My dad smiles at me.
"Thank you Riley!", he says.
Once again I just roll my eyes.
"So", I turn to my friends. "I can't do anything tonight. If you want you can come over."
"I will", Maya says. "I always do."
"Is your uncle still living with you?", Zay asks.
"No, but he's living exactly next to us.", I say.
"How great is that?", Maya asks.
"Of course Maya likes it.", Lucas rolls his eyes.
"Shut up Huckleberry", Maya responds.
Those two are now like they used to be. Mocking and teasing each other, like siblings. And I love it.
The bell rings and I groan.
"I'm so bored!",I say as I go to class.
.....
Josh and Maya are in the kitchen, talking. Farkle and Zay aren't here yet and Auggie is hanging out with Ava, in his room.
Lucas sits on the couch beside me and I am watching Teen Wolf.
Now, the problem is that I can't really focus with Lucas next to me. Even though I keep my eyes to the screen I can feel him looking at me.
"You have to stop that", I say and turn to him.
"Stop what?", he asks.
"I'm trying to watch something here!", I yell at him. "Go away"
His wide eyes plead me.
"Come on Riley!", he says. "I'll be really quiet, I promise."
I smile and turn my head back to Tyler Posey.
But once again I can feel him starring at me.
I turn to face him again.
"Lucas, I can't--"
He cuts me off by smashing his lips on mine. My hands find his t-shirt and I pull him closer.
His lips are really soft and warm and they make me feel cozy. They make me feel home.
He wraps his arms around my waist and I touch his neck.
"Ew!",I hear Josh.
"Get a room", Maya adds as Lucas and I pull away.
Lucas and I both blush. I look at his green eyes for a second. Then he pulls closer again, places a soft kiss on my forehead and get up.
Everytime he leaves me breathless.
My phone rings and I pick it up.
"Hello?"
"It's Zay"
"Hey Zay", I smile at the sound of the familiar voice.
"Leonardo Di Caprio actually got an oscar!", he yells.
I laugh.
"Yeah I saw!", I say, getting up.
Lucas looks at me.
"He's talking about Di Caprio, right?", he yells.
I nod smiling, as Zay tells me everything like a little fanboy he is.
When we finally hang up I feel dizzy.
I go to the kitchen, where my friends are still talking.
"What are you talking about?", I ask.
"Riley, would you ever call your boyfriend love?",Maya asks.
I turn to Lucas to find him already staring. He winks at me and I turn back to Maya.
"Sure, why not?"
"BECAUSE IT'S DISGUSTING!", she yells and I laugh.
Josh and Maya keep 'fighting' as I go over to Lucas.
"Hello, love", he greets me.
I smile at him.
"Hi"
It's ridiculous but I suddenly want to sleep. No actually I want to go to bed. And cuddle up. With blankets and a long hoodie.
"Wanna go to bed?", I ask.
He laughs .
"You are SO dirty", he smiles but he follows me.
And I'm sure he knows that we're going to end up watching something on Netflix, me in his lap and warm blankets around us.
And that's all I want to do right now.
