(Chloe's POV)
I stood at my door for a minute, trying to decide if I should let her in.
"Why do you want to talk to me?" I asked
"Its regarding Valentine." She said
"What about her?"
"May I please come inside. I'd rather sit down and talk." I exhaled and let her in. We sat down in my kitchen and she began to talk.
"Ok, so what do you want to talk about?"
"Well, its come to my attention that you and Val are together."
"Okay?"
"Well I'm here because I thought you should know that she is married."
"She never said anything about being married."
"And she never told me about you. So I guess we're both in the dark here."
"How long have you two been married?" I asked
"Almost 4 years."
I thought she said her girlfriend died 4 years ago
"Wow. Well thanks for telling me."
"No problem. I was trying to help out."
I showed her out the door and walked back to my room. I couldn't believe this. She was married which meant that she was lying to me all this time. I couldn't help but cry. I really thought she had feelings for me. Now I feel stupid. I was nothing but her mistress. She made me feel like she actually cared for me. I wanted to call her but she was still at work and later she would catch a plane to New York.
"Why me?" I asked out loud to no one. It just seems like whenever I thought I found someone, I was so wrong.
(Val's POV)
I got off my plane and took a cab to my parents house. I called my dad before hand and told him to make sure my mom didn't see me walk in. He left the door unlocked and I quietly walk in and put my bags down. I can hear her talking to my Dad and brothers about how I wasn't going to be there for thanks giving the next day.
"The next time I see your sister I'm going to kill her." She said
"Well can you wait until we cut the turkey?" I said walking in. She turned around and almost fainted and then she hugged me tight almost killing me. After a second she stepped back and slapped me. "Ow! Ma, what was that for?"
"That's for not calling your mother." She said
Everyone laughed and then my brothers and dad came to hug me.
"Where are my nieces and nephew?" I asked
"At the park with Dylan." Vinny said. Ok, so just so you know, Dylan, despite her name, is the really attractive cousin. My brothers have a crush on her and we all know it's wrong. She's older than me but younger than the twins and Vinnie.
"Hey, I know that look. You all need to remember that's she's your cousin. That means no staring at her." My mom said
"I'm not married." Daniel said
"So she's still your cousin. Plus you will never get married if you have a new girlfriend every week." My dad said. I laughed but Danny didn't.
"You can't laugh. At least I have a girlfriend."
I wanted to tell them about Chloe, but I figured we aren't "official" yet so why tell them. I was going to say something but I was interrupted by Dylan and the kids. Alana and Jessie ran to me and gave me a hug while David Jr was busy chewing on candy.
"DJ, you don't want to give your aunt a hug?" I asked. He shook his head yes and hugged me, getting candy all over my shirt.
"Oops." He said running away
"David, I'm going to kill your kid."
"Please don't. I can't explain that to Kristen." David said walking away to find DJ.
"Hey little cousin." Dylan said
"Your only a year older than me.' I said
"So. I'm still older than you." She playfully pushed me and I pushed her back. My dad gave me a look and I rolled my eyes.
"Ok you guys, I'll be back. I have to change my shirt and I'm going to visit Jenna."
"You're always over there." My mom said
"I haven't seen her in a month just like you guys."
"Fine, but be back here to help me start thanksgiving dinner."
"Ok, I will." I changed my shirt and left. I called Chloe on the way to Jenna's house but she didn't answer. I called her 2 more times and just convinced myself she was busy. I pulled up to Jenna's house and said that both of their cars were there. I knocked on the door and Jenna opened the door.
"Oh my god!" She screamed as she hugged me
"Baby what's wrong?" Kevin asked running down the hall. He stopped when he saw me to catch his breath. "Don't do that. I thought something was wrong."
"Like what?"
"I don't know. Now I'm tired. I nearly died running over here." I laughed and walked in with Jenna.
"Where's Sara?" I asked
"She's should be back any minute. She stayed over to my parents house."
"Ok. So how's everything going with the baby?'
"Everything is fine. I get to find out what I'm having next month."
"I'm so happy for you. I hope its another girl."
"Hell no. I want a boy this time."
"Sergeant Teddy!!" I heard Sara yell as she ran in the house
"Hi Bumblebee!" I said kneeling down to her height to hug her
"I miss you." She said
"I missed you too. Have you been doing good?"
"Yes and I have something for you. Mommy said she was going to mail it after Thanksgiving."
"Ok well what is it?" She grabbed my hand and pulled me to her room. She opened her desk drawer and pulled out her notebook."
"See, this is a picture of you and me. I drew it. I also made one for me mommy and daddy and the new baby."
"This is so nice Sara. I will keep this forever."
"Ok and can you you take me to the park?"
"Oh, I'm sorry Bumblebee. Its getting late and I have to go soon. I promise I will come and visit you before I leave again."
"Ok." Sara said looking sad
"Hey look what I have." I said reaching in my pocket and taking out the candy I bought for her
"Thank you aunt Val." She said jumping up and down
"Come on let's go back to your mom and dad." We walked back into the living room where Kevin and Jenna were sitting
"Oh come on!" Kevin said
"What?" I asked
"You gave her candy."
"One lollipop isn't going to hurt anybody."
"Yeah yeah. So what are you going to do now?" Jenna asked
"Back to my parents house. I was instructed to help with dinner for tomorrow."
"Ok. Well call me later ok?"
"Ok. See you later Bumblebee." I said walking out
On the drive back to my parents house I tried calling Chloe again but she still wasn't answering. I was getting worried but I decided not to trip about it at the moment. When I got back to my parents house, my brothers were gone and so was Dylan. My mom was in the kitchen and somehow she knew I was in the house before I even got both my feet in the door.
"I thought I was going to have to search for you." My mom said from the kitchen.
"I'm sorry Ma. New York traffic."
"Yeah yeah. Go wash your hands and peel some potatoes."
"Yes ma'am." I washed my hands and sat in the kitchen peeling potatoes for an hour. After I was done my mom had me and my dad take out the trash and told us we didn't have to do anything else.
I took an shower and laid down in my parents guest room. I couldn't go to sleep because Chloe was on my mind. She hasn't answered my calls and I don't know why. I tried calling again but they results were the same.
Did I do something wrong?
