The party was in full swing as Troy and Veronica entered and casually made their way through the crowd.
Gabriella and Ryan also made their way through bumping into each other.
"Sorry." Ryan apologized to Gabriella.

Gabriella smiled timidly as she found an unoccupied cushion and went back to her book.
"All right! How about that for a couple of snowboarders?" The host asked.
The audience cheered loudly
"Yeah! Who's gonna rock the house next?" He asked
The host stepped off the stage as two spotlights move around the crowd and eventually stopped on Veronica and Ryan.
"You two!" The host screamed
"No, no. I can't sing." Veronica declined.
The people around her push her to the stage and Troy laughed.
"No, no a girl like her doesn't sing with a guy like me." Ryan declined.
The people around him pushed him on the stage as well.
Ryan had a crush on Veronica since freshmen year but to Veronica, he just looked familiar.

"Ryan." He introduced himself.
"Veronica." She took his hand.
They shook hands and went their separate ways.
Troy gave Veronica a 'You have a crush' look.
"Shut up." She commanded him.
He raised his hands in defeat.
"Yeah! Who's gonna rock the house next? Huh?" The host asked.

Troy politely attempted to decline but the kids around him push him closer to the stage.
"I can't sing. No, you go." He said to a random stranger.
The host walked to where Gabriella was sitting and took her hand
"Yeah, come on." He smiled.
Gabriella looked scared as she was led to the stage. Troy tried to escape.
"Look I don't sing. I can't sing. No, guys." Troy said trying to get out of the situation.
"He's an amazing singer!" Veronica yelled.
Troy gave her a death glare and she stuck out her tongue.
"Get up there!" A stranger yelled
Troy and Gabriella reluctantly get up on the stage.
"Hey, you know what? Someday you guys might thank me for this." The host gave Troy the microphone.
"Or not." The host walked off.
