Ross's POV
When I got to the stairs I struck another match and carefully made my way up into the darkest part of the tunnel. I could hear the tiny splashes of water everytime I took a step. I ignored the sound. All I could think of was stopping Courtney from making the biggest mistake ever.
Before I knew it I could see a light and put my match out. I followed the light.
I tripped on one of the cobblestones and got dirty and wet. The tunnel and everything in it were thousands of years old and they were filthy and wet. I stood up and left the tunnel.
Everywhere I went after that I kept getting stares. I didn't think to bring an extra set of clothes with me. But I didn't care about my clothes. That wasn't even important.
