I wake up early, orange sky flooding in through my light colored curtains. My head throbbing from my cry fest last night. I play last night over and over again;
When I got home last night that woman wasn't here, thank fuck. But my dad was, sitting there. Vodka in his hand.
"Im sorry I lied to you." He says noticing my presence
"You know what dad. I love you. But that was fucked up."
"Language!"
"Are you serious right now dad? You're gone constantly, only for me to find out that you've been talking to my mom, the woman who LEFT US. And you just take her back like she did nothing wrong. She bailed on us dad. She left us high and dry. Now I'm going to bed." I scream at him with anger in every word
Tears prickle my eyes, I've never been that mean to my dad. I feel bad, I stand at the top of the stairs contemplating going back downstairs. I should apologize. But then I hear him on the phone;
"I know Steph, she's gone to bed. I don't think she'll ever be ok with this. I know. You can't really blame her though can you? She has Ryder and I, and I've been lying to her."
I go into my room softly closing the door before throwing my money on my bed. 9,000$ I just made 9k in 30 minutes. Thank god for these rich kids, back at home buy in was like 500$. This really can't go without consequence. I never made money like this. Quickly I hide it in the safe under my bed, there is some money left in there from my other races a long time ago. It's how I get such good grades, I don't need a job, so I just focus on my schoolwork. Sure my dads rich, but I like having my own.

Its been 5 days since I last spoke to Jackson or my father. I can't avoid either of their gazes forever, not surprisingly dad left again for business shortly after realizing this wasn't just going to go away.
I got a new phone and Steph has been texting me non stop. I haven't replied because quite frankly I don't know what to say to her. I've forgiven my dad though, he's still my dad. He raised us on his own and I know that couldn't have been easy. Sometimes you make mistakes and that's ok, sure in my eyes letting that succubus back in our life was a bit more than a mistake. But he's not me and I'm not him.
"So how are things going?" Lydia asks shutting her locker "I feel like you haven't left the house in awhile..."
"I dont know, I dont know how to feel. I'm mad, sad, hurt and disappointed." I say sighing clutching my books closer to my chest "I just need to be alone."

"Hi babe, Dani. Hows it going?" Tyler says kissing Lydia's head softly

I turn around to see Jackson looking hot as ever.
"Hey Jax." Lydia says quietly "I gotta go, i'm coming over yours tonight for girls night."
Yippee, girls night.
"Can we uhm, talk?" He says looking between me and then back to his feet awkwardly

"Please Dani-" he says grabbing my arm

Walking away from him was hard, harder than I ever thought it would be. Harder than it should be.

Sitting in class I sigh in frustration. Slamming my text book shut, not missing the looking Mrs.L gives me
I can't concentrate! This is all bullshit!
"I'll be back in a few minutes class, start your reading please." Mrs.L says quickly
As soon as she leaves the class that's when Allie and her group attack, same as they have been for the last month.
"Aweh is little Danielle sad." Allie mocks from behind me as her little minions laugh "Loser!"
"I think we made her cry." Heather laughs
"Poor baby, hmm. Who do we think the cause is today; Jackson, her delicious brother Ryder, poor neglectful daddy or whore of a mother?"
My knuckles are turning white and I'm so close to snapping on her, but I can't afford to get suspended. Not in my final year.
"I heard she got kicked out of her school last year for blowing the entire baseball team!" Quinn adds in

"Oh for fuck sakes! Would you shut the fuck up!" Lydia suddenly screams "I've had enough! You just hate her because she is something you airheads will never be! She got Jackson, you didn't, boo fucking hoo!"

Allie just scoffs before murmuring to her friends and leaving the classroom, minions in tow.
Everyone stops talking, the classroom is silent and everyone is staring at Lydia with wide eyes.
"That was great." I say smiling widely at Lydia "thank you."
"You're welcome." She laughs turning back to her book just as Mrs.L walks back in
I understand everyone's confusion, Lydia is probably the sweetest person in the world. I mean it, I never hear her say anything negative or hurtful... Like ever..
Smiling to myself everything feels like it's going to be alright, I've got the best friends anyone could ask for.

3 weeks later
Jackson has been relentless! Calls, texts, showing up to my house with flowers. I literally dodge him in school, avoid him anywhere and everywhere else. Truth is; I'm trying so hard because my heart wants me to forgive him, but my head is screaming at me not too.
I mean, I know he lied and made a bet, but I just can't believe that everything between us was a lie. Hell, even when we first met there was some crazy sexual tension. He was kind of a dick head, but the unfortunate fact of being a girl, we love it.
Currently all the boys are over at our place going over some plays for ball.
"Dani!" I hear Carson yelling
I jump down the three stairs to the den coming face to face with all the boys who are staring at me.
"Yo." I laugh
"We are trying to settle something." Tyler speaks up
"I told them not to ask you." Ryder grumbles "I fucking-"

Staring at them all dumbfounded I narrow my eyes and put my hands on my hips

"If you had to choose one of us to go to prom with, who would you choose?" Patrick asks
Without a second thought I walk over to the couch where Carson and Jackson sit and drop down on his lap.

"Carson." I laugh and throw my arms around his neck and kissing cheek "Obviously."
Jake and Jacksons let out the most audible groans while Carson, Ryder and Tyler laugh
"Told ya." Ryder says grabbing 10$ from Jake
"Seriously though, want to go with me?" Carson says in my ear
"I'd love to, but ya know... I'm not a dude." I laugh quietly so only he can hear me
"I'm just not ready to tell everyone yet. Soon though." He smiles sweetly "You'd be the best friend in the whole world."
I can't even imagine what he's going through, I know Ryder for definite would understand. We weren't brought up judgemental and we certainly aren't judgemental.
"Sure Carson, I'd be honoured."
