Maya's P.O.V.
I rolled out of bed, hitting the floor. I cursed under my breath. I ran down the hall, grabbing a banana for breakfast. My mom was already at work. I texted Riley.
M- hey, 5 mins until I'm at ur house
R- great! c u then
Riley was...perfect. She had all the boys, the shoes, the clothes, the friends. She had it all.
I, on the other hand, had no friends, divorced parents, and, well, not so nice clothes.
So, life sucked. But I got through it, day by day. My favorite time was usually 11:11. How many others were like me, looking for friends?
School started at 8:00 and it was already 7:25. I needed to get to Riley's house.
