Ross's POV
I made the news. Sorta. I caused a massacre last night and everyone was talking about it. Nobody knew it was me but they knew it happened. I was at home locked in the room Courtney and I used to share before last night. I killed 42 adults and 27 children last night. Excluding the woman on the beach of course. She makes it 43 adults but I'm focusing on the ones in the city.
"I HATE MYSELF!" I shouted.
I fell to my knees and then onto my side and cried. My hands were still covered in blood but I didn't care. I buried my face in them anyway and cried. I always knew I was a monster and this proved it.
I heard a knock on the door and ignored it. It was Rydel. I already knew it was her. She had been trying to get me to let her in all morning.
"Ross," she said, "I know you're in there. Will you please let me in?"
"Go away!"
"Please?"
"I said go away!"
She didn't say anything else or knock again. She must've finally left me alone.
I went back to crying into my bloodstained hands. That is until she came back again.
