Pain shot up like wild fire. I didn't know what to do. I felt helpless and numb. I looked down at myself and panicked. There was blood all over my clothes.
I searched for him and realization hit me hard... He has gone.... I was alone.
I prayed for this to be a nightmare, but, it wasn't.
I had promised myself that I wouldn't stop him from going.
My physical pain was more than my heart ache.
I didn't have the energy to shout. I was becoming unconscious. I shut my eyes...this could be my last moments....
I thought of the happy memories. The day in the park, on our wedding night. The way he went down on his knees and asked me to be a complete half of his Deen. The bike rides. Our honeymoon.
In vain I tried hard not to remember the day he left me. But with every happy memory came the bad ones, I had been crying for a week.
I loved him and every cell in my body longed to be in his arms.
