Chapter 16
Phoebe Pov:
I didn’t ever think I could be here, I never thought never dreamed or wondered, how my life would change with time. It's like someone will wake me up and all these will vanish in thin air.
I can't believe I was pregnant. I don't remember feeling a thing pushing that baby out. Now she's here and more beautiful then I could ever imagine.
She smiled at me today while I was changing her. I felt like I was in cloud nine, everything seemed perfect. I felt like complete with my new baby Lily. I couldn't ask for anything better.
“Phoebe?" Leo called behind me.
I turned and smiled. “Yes?"
He hasn't left me alone since we got here. If we weren't doing...well you know that then we were talking and talking ugh it was draining.
He smiled and then looked worried. “I’m going to go out with the others...um hunting reason of course."
I was confined but some time a part did sound pleasing at the time. Maybe I would explore the house and see if I can get Lily to smile a couple more times.
“Gaug guag" Lily mumbled and waving her arms about.
I picked her up and held her letting her head rest on my shoulder. I nodded at Leo and he kissed my forehead. He touched Lily's hand and kissed her palm.
“I will see you ladies tomorrow." He cooed close to her ear. I smiled and hummed to Lily.
Leo stood up and walked out waiting for me to walk with him down stairs. I smiled and took his hand willing.
Gillis looked up and smiled.
I really liked Gillis he was so...just something about him put me at ease. Plus he was head over heels mouth watering.
There was a knock at the door. I looked at Leo and he smirked. I made a face and opened the door.
“Val!" I embraced her warmly and she smiled.
“Girl...you’re looking good." She said in a silly voice and touched Lily’s back.
“Leo invited me to crash her for a while. He signed up for online classes. " She chimed closing the door behind her.
“Oh really?" I asked turning to Leo giving him the side eye.
He put his hands up trying to reassure me.
I rolled my eyes.
I noticed Gillis stiffen as he took a deep breath. His eyes turned a shimmering grey as he looked at Val.
Douglas howled with laughter.
“When’s the wedding big bro?" He teased slapping him on the back. Gillis blushed and ruffled his hair.
I laughed because Val payed no attention to Gillis. This would be interesting since I had a feeling he was hopeless romantic. I think Val and him would make wonderful couple however she’s alot to handle I can tell him that much.
Alisha stepped in front of Val and smiled introducing herself. I saw she was trying to get Val to notice Gillis.
I looked at Leo and blew him a kiss. He jumped to side and motioned like he caught it.
I giggled.
“Hi I’m Alisha.” She introduced in a high velvet voice.
Val waved. “Hey"
Gillis walked up and introduced himself. I could see he was nervous.
“Nice to meet you kitten.’He told.
She made a face and echoed,“Kitten?" making him blush deeper at his own mistake.
Val side eyed him and walked to me. She leaned in and whispered in my ear. “This guy is pretty hot but he's a total nut." I giggled.
Peter clapped his hands and stood up. “Enough of this, I want to go.”
Everyone agreed and Leo pulled me in to a passionate kiss. Unfortunately Val broke it up just when it was getting good.
“Enough of that now, Thats how you got this one." She said and pointed to Lily.
Leo hissed and then relaxed knowing he was over-reacting. “I’m already regretting having you here girl.” He mumbled.
Gillis hissed loudly.
Val jumped.
“Baby Jesus what was that?!" She asked clamping her heart.
Leo's mom came in and pushed everyone out the door not wanting to get into the conversation just yet.
“Alright see you guys later." She told nervously.
Val looked at me confused. “I will tell you everything when Lily takes her nap."
I promised.
I really missed Val. She was my only friend and I just forgot about her when I was going through my horrible episodes with Leo.
Lily yawned and rubbed her eye with her tiny hands. I smiled and we both walked up stairs to put her in the crib. Val put her hand on my shoulder and smiled.
“Who was that guy earlier?" She asked.
I lead her back down stairs and sat on the couch. I was going to be completely honest with her since she would have to learn sooner or later since she was I guess his mate.
I wanted her to be sitting as I didn't want her to freak out and hurt herself like she did to everything I told her.
“He’s Gillis. He likes you.” I began. She scoffed.
“He doesn't even know me." I put my hand up. “Let me finish."
I said a little irritated.
She nodded
“He is your mate. He's a vampire. They are all vampires and I'm one as well but I have to wait until Leo marks me on the full moon for it to be final. I know this will be a lot to take in but just chill.’ I finished and braced myself for her to flip out.
She took a deep breath and burst into laughter. I could see tears coming from her eyes she was laughing so hard. She rolled off the couch and fell on the floor.
I huffed. I figured.
She gasped for Val and stood up.
“Okay I’m good.' She told holding in another laugh.
She sat back next to me and nodded. “Okay. I can give that a try. He's hot so it's okay."
I shrugged and we both turned on the TV watching House wives.
Gillis Pov:
I minded linked with Leo as we ran at vampire speed through the woods.
I want her.
I heard him chuckle but I was so serious. I was the possessive type so I wasn't going to take 'No' for an answer. She was perfect in every way, shape, or form.
Take it easy brother. Leo replied.
I rolled my eyes and smirked.
Just take it slow, don't just mark her. He said with a concerned voice.
I sighed. Yeah yeah whatever.
Leo laughed. I know how it feels I had to wait forever for Phoebe and I to finally sleep together it was perfect. Well she was unconscious...But-
I started to laugh. You little snake. I teased.
Leo huffed and ran past me.
Aw come on don't be like that. I told teasing,
I didn't know this girl one bit but I knew she was suppose to be mine forever. And as soon as we killed this dog I was going to have her.
I smirked.
