Ross's POV
I felt like I was about to lose my mind. I stopped and fell to my knees in the middle of the woods. My hands were shaking. Can vampires go mentally insane? I guess so. Cause that's exactly what was happening to me. I heard footsteps coming toward me.
"Ross?" Laura found me.
"What?"
"I'm sorry."
I looked at her. She looked sincere but not sincere enough. I knew she knew what was happening to me.
"You should be."
"Are you okay?"
"I'M LOSING MY MIND! DO I LOOK LIKE I'M FUCKING OKAY?!"
She jumped. I've never ever snapped at anyone the way I was at Laura. I could see the pain in her eyes that she always tried to hide so well but her eyes always gave her away.
WHY DO I KEEP FUCKING HURTING PEOPLE TONIGHT?! I thought.
I wasn't okay. I never would be okay. Ever. My wife left me. My child is a monster. My ex girlfriend is stalking me. I'm becoming mentally unstable. Can things get any worse?!
Laura knelt down next to me. She was so close I could feel her breath on my face.
"Don't worry," she whispered, "I'm here for you."
