(Kimberley's POV)

I felt light headed; surges of electricity were now coursing throughout my body, I was in pure bliss. Its gentle, but captivating, a mixture of the remaining alcohol and residue of lip balm she once wore now invaded my mouth. I didn't just want her lips against mine anymore, I needed them.

We part for a mere second, but only to catch our breaths as I reached for her wanting her as close to me as possible. I took my hand and brought it up brushing the few strands of hair off her cheek as it slides ever so lightly past her ear and tucking them firmly behind it. Our eyes are connected; I’m lost in her dark eyes which are now clouded with lust. My thumb is tracing her earlobe softly, as I then begin to caress her cheek with my thumbs while my fingers are supporting the back of her head. I lean in once more and firmly yet passionately place our lips together once more. My fingers tangling in her dark chocolate curls, gripping onto as if I let go I’d wake up from the best dream I've ever had. I can feel her quickly inhale, pulling the air from my own lungs. I pull her body closer and embrace her, holding her tightly against me feeling the race of our hearts as one. She wraps her hands around my waist keeping me firmly in place against her. The tingling sensation in my stomach returned, that feeling that felt so weird yet I loved so much. That feeling that I only felt when she was around.

The world stood still, nothing else mattered in this moment. All my fears and worries were pushed straight into the back of my thoughts; they were now the least of my worries.

She slid her tongue across my bottom lip, slowly and seductively begging for entrance. I opened my mouth up slightly allowing her entry; inviting her warm tongue in to join mine inside of my mouth. Our tongues battled for control, dueling for dominance. Our tongues tangled together in a heated dance so sensual my body ignited and burned, the arousal begging to stir in between my thighs. We could have been there for seconds, minutes, or maybe even hours. The concept of time no longer existed.

As the kiss came to a natural ending, no words were spoken between us as we parted. We just sat there locked into an intense gaze as the natural noises of the night filled the space around us. Her eyes became unreadable once more, and that’s when my panic and fear crept back in from the back of my mind. I didn't know what to do or what to say.

Soon enough those unreadable eyes, soon turned into passionately filled chocolate orbs, so many mixed emotions held inside of one glare, as her lips began to curl into a dimple filled smile. All I could do was loose myself in her stare, as I smiled like a loon back.

“I tried.” She started. “I tried to act as if nothing happened between us. I wanted to just move on as if we had never, ya know…kissed that night” her cheeks began to fill with a soft rosy color. “The more I tried, the less it worked. When I walked into the room and saw you, I couldn’t help but be overcome with happiness. When I’m with you, I feel safe, secure… I feel invincible, I feel almost like meself again. Once Ash did that to me I felt lost and I definitely wasn’t meself, until you came into my life and it’s like you’re slowly helping me put meself back together.” The lust had left her eyes which were now filled with gratitude.

“I didn’t mean to leave you like that, that night. I just, I wasn’t planning on doing that, and I panicked. I was scared.” I said, relief washing over me from being able to share my feelings out loud.

“Shh, it’s fine. I’m scared too. I just, I’ve never--”

The back door suddenly swung open, causing Cheryl and I to both swiftly pull away from our embrace. Looking over at the door, the silhouette of a tall Irish girl stood.

“What are yous still doing out here?! We were waiting for yous so we could start the movie Nic wanted to watch, but the psycho blonde is getting a bit impatient.”

“I, uh-“

“We’ll be in in a minute.” Cheryl cleared her throat, speaking up over me and coming to my rescue.

“Alright, don’t be long or else she’s going to come out here to get yous and I don’t think you want that at her state to be honest.” Nadine said, a small giggle slipping through her lips as she turned and walked back inside closing the door once more behind her with a large thud.

“We’ll finish this conversation later I guess, yeah?” Cheryl whispered, as she started walking towards the door, turning around to look back at me. I followed right behind.

“Well look who it is.” Sarah expressed. “What were you guys doing out there? I personally thought you both ran off and I’d have to call 999 and put out two missing people reports.”

“Cheeky aren’t you? Nothing, Kimba didn’t feel well so we just sat out there for a bit and chatted until she felt better.” Cheryl believably lied through her teeth, the feeling of a small blush working its way onto my cheeks as I bowed my head in attempts to hide it.

“Well, ok then, since Kimba’s all better now let’s watch this movie already.” The blonde said impatiently, she was as patient as a three year old.

I made my way over to an empty spot on the floor in front of the TV, grabbing a pillow and blanket on the way for extra comfort on the carpeted flooring. As I got situated, I felt someone slide into the small blanket next to me, it was her. I couldn’t help but smile at the fact that she choose to lay near me.

“So, what movie are we watching anyways?” I questioned, as Nadine flicked the lights out.

“Well, Nicola saw that one movie Cabin In the Woods, and rented it for tonight.”

“Isn’t t-that a scary film?” Cheryl shuddered, a flash of fear flickering in her eyes as she inched her body closer to mine.

“Yeah, so don’t be a pansy Chezbean!” the blonde cackled, knowing the full relationship between Cheryl and scary films.

“Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.” I whispered into her ear, shooting her a quick wink. She responded with a little blush, still visible in the dim lighting of the TV, while snuggling into the small blanket we would be sharing for the next hour or so.

“HOLY SH!T WHAT THE BLOODY HELL KINDA MOVIE IS THIS?!” Cheryl screeched, as she nudged her head into the crook of my neck hiding her face within my hair, molding our bodies together.

“Cheryl  calm down you big cow!” The blonde hissed, as she pulled her blanket up to her own eyes.

“IF YOU WALK IN THERE YOU’RE SCREWED DON’T DO IT, DON’T DO IT!”

“Cheryl get a grip and shut up already.” Sarah moaned, chucking a pillow towards Cheryl, causing Cheryl to use me as a human shield.

“Ow! What the hell was that for?!” turning my head toward Sarah as she pointed towards the younger girl sat next to me. Looking over at Cheryl she had an innocent little smile at her face knowing she had done wrong.

“I’m sorry babe, but, I just, quick reaction.” Cheryl said, putting her guilty puppy dog eyes on.

“Don’t think those eyes are going to get you out of this one.” I shook my head, as I started scooting away from her taking the warm blanket with me. “You’re on your own now, good luck with the next bit of the film.”

“Kimba, nooooo. Please don’t, I said I was sorry.” She whimpered, attempting to tug at my arm.

“Nope, you did this to yourself.” I was not budging, and I enjoyed the bit of control I had in this situation, as I got up and completely moving over next to a now sleeping Nicola on the other sofa next to the one that occupied Nadine and Sarah.

“Hey Chez why don’t you buck up and sHUT UP.” Sarah said while pegging Cheryl with a pillow, this time hitting her in the side of the head, making a ‘thud’ as it made contact with the ground.

“Will you stop throwing the damn pillows at me!” Cheryl huffed, now sat alone in front of the TV, a strong pout playing out on her lips. She looked so tiny and cute, a bit of her long satin curls were now tussled and messed up on the side of her head where the pillow had made contact.

“Awe is the little tough Geordie girl scared to watch a movie all by herself?”

“No.” she mumbled under her breath, maneuvering herself around on the ground, trying to find a comfortable enough position. I felt bad, the guilt from leaving her all alone and cold on the floor began to swallow me up, I just wanted to go back over to her and cuddle into her, feeling our bodies intertwine as one.

I have it bad…

Of course after about five more minutes and nothing much exciting happening on the film, the young Irish girl had also fallen asleep. A soft snore coming from the blonde as well signaling that she as well was in the land of dreams, and faint grumbles coming from Nadine’s mouth filled the room.

Cheryl was still on the floor her elbow propped up supporting her torso as she lay on her stomach completely engulfed in the film now.

What are we? Where do we stand? I mean, after tonight’s display of affection out in the garden I’m pretty sure we are more than just friends. Does she really feel the same though? Of course she does Kimberley; she wouldn’t have kissed you if she didn’t feel the same. I mean she did kiss, you. What about everything with Ashley, is she really ready to commit to something else after all of the pain her put her through?

I was broken from my thoughts by a scream, which startled me. I shook my head coming back into reality as I realized the scream came from the young girl on the floor, she was now huddled into a small ball her eyes adverted from the screen which was showing a bunch of zombies killing one of the characters in the film blood was everywhere.

I quickly hopped from my position on the sofa next to the fare skinned red head and took my place back next to the younger woman.  As soon as she noticed that I was sat next to her once more, she cuddled into me, her head borrowed into my chest as I held her in my arms, butterflies rolling in my stomach from the extremely close contact.

“Do we have to keep watching this bloody film; I don’t think I can do it anymore?” She whined, lifting her head slightly and peering back at the screen, quickly returning her head back and nuzzling it into my side.

“No we don’t you big baby, I’m a bit tired anyways.” I giggle a bit, a yawn following right behind.

I got up from my position on the floor and made my way to the television, flicking it off. After completing that task, I made my way over to Nic, wrapping her in the blanket I had previously been using and leaving a small kiss on her forehead, a mumble escaping her lips as she cuddled into the material. After doing the same with the other two, tucking them in, I spun back around to find that the Geordie girl was no longer on the floor where I left her. I didn’t even hear her leave; she must have gone to bed already.

Sighing at the fact that she didn’t stick around to say goodnight, or talk about…us, I made my way into the kitchen to get a drink of water and maybe a little nibble of something before I settled myself in for the night.

I looked in the fridge for what felt like ages, scanning over the same objects multiple times finding nothing appealing or appetizing. Finally giving up, I made my way to the overhead cabinets in search for the one that holds the cups and glasses. Opening the first one, it was of course the Hardcore Harding liquor stash. Giggling to myself at the heaps of alcohol all stuffed into one spot, I made my way to the next cabinet, but something stopped me in my tracks.

There was a faint redish orange glow out in the back garden; I could see it from the window that over looked the dark abyss of the night. Walking slowly over to the window that is perched above the sink, to get a better view, I noticed a small and petite shadow coming into view. It was her.

I swiftly moved to the back door, my hands becoming clammy, a stroke of nervousness hitting me like a brick wall.

“I didn’t know you smoked.” I said, as I approached her walking up behind her slowly not wanting to startle her.

“Sorry, I just, I don’t do it all the time…just when I’m stressed or have something on me mind that is stressing us out.” She answered, as she put the cigarette out on the ground next to her.

Could she get any more attractive?

“Well, you could talk to me about it, y’know only if you want to though… Maybe I could help, take some of the stress away.” I walked closer to her, plopping myself next to her on the damp ground. Both of us now looking out into the perfectly clear night sky, a few stars making an appearance twinkling back at us.

She sat there, her face etched with concentration as she fiddled with a small piece of grass between her fingers. I just sat there and watched her, the way she gracefully twirled the small shear of grass between her fingers, her eyes looking at it as if it would give her answers to all of her problems.

Was she thinking about me? About us?

Her voice broke the silence in an unreadable tone,

“I think we need to talk.”
