Camila's POV

My heart stopped.
The world stopped. Everything stopped.
But then I found myself laughing.

I wasn't laughing because my life was a complete joke, but because she had to be kidding.

I pointed at her and said, "Good one Lo. You sure got me."

She didn't crack a smile.

She just stared at me with the most unreadable expression.

"You're not serious, are you?"

"I've never been more serious in my life."

"Babe, we can't just run away."

"Why not?"

I sighed, "Because, we don't have anywhere to go."

"Of course we do. There's a whole world out there."

"Then what about school?"

"We'll find a way."

"What about our families?"

"Mine won't miss me. And we can send yours post cards every now and then." Lauren joked.

"Lauren this isn't funny."

"I know. I'm just pulling your strings."

"Well don't. I'm fucking terrified of losing you and you're standing there cracking jokes?"

Lauren frowned, "I'm just trying to calm you down. I don't want you to be scared because there's no way in hell I'm going to let him separate us."

"And how do you plan on doing that?"

"We need to leave. Like now."

"But I don't even have anything packed-"

"-it doesn't matter. The longer we stay here the more I'm putting you in danger."

She was right. But I can't just leave my family. Not like this.

"I can't."

"Why?"

"Do you know what my mom will do to me when I get back? If I ever come back?"

Lauren was about to respond before I interrupted her again, "Or what Sofi will think? Or how much grief I will fill in her heart because I suddenly went missing?"

Lauren grasped my forearms in an attempt to calm me down, "Listen, we won't be gone long. A week tops. We just need a little more time."

"For what?"

"For him to cool off, give up...something. The point is, being here, is not an option right now."

"What's the worse he can do?"

"Hurt you. And I'm not going to risk that."

I lightly shook my head before I sighed. This is not happening right now. I'm not in danger and I'm not going to lose Lauren. It's just a dream. A cosmic joke.

"Babe?" Lauren called.

She brought me out of my thoughts. And in that second, it hit me again.

I groaned and turned away from her.

"Camz..."

"Why can't we just be happy?" I desperately asked before I turned back around.

Lauren frowned and grasped my hand, "I don't know. But one day we will be."

"When?"

"Someday." Lauren assured me, "But right now, we need to get out of here."

"Where will we go?"

Lauren thought about it for a few seconds before it came to her. She face palmed herself for not being able to realize it earlier.

"Oh my god, how could I forget." She said to herself. "Ugh."

"What?"

"Madison."

"Madison what?"

"Her mom owns a beach house in the Bahamas. We could just stay there for a few days. My dad would never know. Plus, they own dozens of beach houses all over just like we do, he'd never waste his time."

"Babe..."

"I know this sounds crazy but I think we'll be safe there."

"Lo-"

"All I need to do is make a quick phone call so I can tap into my dad's account..." Lauren said before pulling out her phone and dialing a number.

I snatched her phone away from her and glared at her, "Do you even hear what you're saying?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"You're insane."

Lauren was slightly offended, "I'm just trying to protect you."

"Maybe I don't want to be protected."

"Well then tough shit because I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

"Yeah well, I'm not going to let you do something reckless because of that."

Lauren groaned, "Don't you get it? If we stay, were both screwed. He could do something to you, to me, to us, and we can't just stay here and find out."

I let out a frustrated groan because I couldn't help but agree.

She caressed my cheek before she said, "You just have to trust me."

I looked back into her pleading green orbs, "I do trust you."

"Then we have to go. Now."

I looked away once more before I finally gathered the courage to give in, "Okay. But you gave to bring me back in a week. I can't leave my family thinking something happened to me."

"I will." Lauren assured me, "And just think of it as a little trip. Like that time we were supposed to ditch class to go to Rio. This is gonna make up for that."

I sighed, "Little trip it is."

"Alright then princess, can I have my phone back now?"

After a few phone calls, Lauren managed to break into her fathers account to "borrow" a large amount of money. She wouldn't tell me how much she took. She said that it didn't matter and considering our situation, I couldn't help but agree.

After she changed into the clothes she had in her gym bag, she managed to book us a private flight to the Caribbean in a friend's jet, which I assumed was from Madison's family. Whether she borrowed it or stole it, I don't know, but when we parked, in the middle of the departure lot, there was a huge jet parked with a fancy B printed on the side. And in that moment, it became evident to me that Lauren could do anything. When she wanted it done of course.

We both walked up to the plane where we meet the pilot waiting near the metal stair case.

He shook our hands and introduced himself. He then guided us up the stairs and into the plane.

Inside, the seats were covered in red leather and the walls were enveloped by wood. The flooring itself was red carpet. On the fair end of the plane was a small bar and in the middle was an air hockey table.

My mouth dropped.

"What never been in an airplane before?" Lauren smirked.

Camila closed her mouth before she breathed, "I didn't know she was this loaded."

"Her moms a successful entrepreneur, what do you expect?"

"I don't know but this is just-"

Lauren stifled a chuckle, "This is nothing. Wait till you see a Jauregui jet."

"Trust me, I don't want to see one of those for a while."

"Yeah me either." Lauren agreed before we settled ourselves in.

Lauren and I both sat next to each other before the pilot began preparations for lift off. I tightly held Lauren's hand. She winced in response to the unanticipated force. She turned to me and said, "What's wrong?"

"Does it hurt?"

"What?"

"Departure."

"It feels a little weird if your not used to it. Why? Are you scared?"

"A little." I admitted.

Lauren tenderly smiled at me before she brought up our hands and kissed the back on mine, "You're going to be fine. I promise."

I sighed and nodded my head before the plane moved. I clung onto Lauren as if my life depended on it. She whispered some things in my ear that made me giggle in an attempt to distract me, and it did. Before I knew it, we were already in the air. Only hours away from this crazy story I'd be telling one day.

--

When we arrived, Lauren and I took a taxi to the Beer's beach house. As we pulled up, with only Lauren's gym bag and our cellphones in our possession, I gasped at the building before us.

"I thought you said it was a beach house. THIS IS A BEACH MANSION."

Lauren shrugged, "Eh it's alright." She said before she grabbed the hidden key that was in the fake plant pot. She unlocked the door and slipped the key into her pocket.

The inside of the house was even better than the outside! I couldn't even begin to describe the furnished interior walls and the polished wood floor and even the leather couches that probably cost a fucking fortune.

"The amount of money you two possess never ceases to amaze me." I said as looked around.

"How come?" Lauren asked before she closed the door.

"I mean, you for one, live right next door to me. And our houses aren't anything special. I'd think the Jaureguis would live in a more fitting setting."

"Well, my dad's never home because he's always traveling or in the office so we don't see the need in living in a huge empty house. And considering who we are, it's in our best favor to keep a low profile."

"Then why go to Bal Harbor?"

"Because it's close to my house."

"That's it?"

"Mmhmm." Lauren said as she set down our things.

I looked around the extravagant room before I asked, "What does Madison's dad do anyway?"

Lauren frowned, "Oh he's...he's not in her life." She replied.

I furrowed my brows in confusion, "Like...he passed or?"

"No. He's just an asshole who left her mother during pregnancy."

"Oh my god, I had no idea."

"Most people don't." Lauren shrugged, "She doesn't tell anyone much about her personal life. We both don't. But somehow, we ended up on the topic and it turned out we felt the same way, we'll sort of."

"That's terrible..."

"It's okay. The important thing is that she's doing better and she has Rihanna by her side to help her."

I smiled at that.

"What? You didn't think I was happy for them?"

"Well, I assumed you thought the whole thing was whack."

"If it gets them out of the way and makes them happy then I encourage it."

"But they were never a threat in the first place."

"Everyone's a threat when it comes to you babe."

"You're over exaggerating."

"Are you kidding me? Do you know how hot you are?"

"Is that the only reason you date me?"

"Of course." Lauren joked.

I rolled my eyes.

"No but seriously, you're amazing Camz, and everybody wants you. So I have to have my guard up."

"Speak for yourself. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror? You turn heads everywhere you go. I don't remember the last time I haven't seen a mouth drop in your presence."

Lauren smirked and said, "You're probably right but I never notice anyway."

"How come?"

"Because everyone else doesn't matter. I already have you." She half smiled.

I smiled back and wrapped my arms around her.

She reciprocated.

I then rested my head on the crook of her neck. Before a shudder ran through my body. It was as if I had been hit with reality. The surroundings around me just starting to make themselves present in my world. I was here. With my girlfriend. Half way across the world because someone is trying to tear us apart. All of it was surreal but what really blew a hole in my chest was knowing and not knowing about our future. If we even had a future.

"I'm scared." I suddenly said.

Lauren's arms tightened around my waist, "I know baby." She whispered before she kissed the side of my head.

"What if he finds us?"

"He won't."

"What if he takes you away?"

"He's not gonna do that."

"What if he makes me disappear?"

"I'm not going to let him lay a finger on you." She assured me.

A few tears started to well up in my eyes, "How can you be so sure?" My voice quivered.

"Because. I'm going to be right here. I'm not going anywhere."

My hands clenched onto the fabric of her leather jacket. "You can't leave me again."

"I won't."

"But even if I do, it will be for the right reasons."

I pulled away from her and furrowed my brows in slight anger, "Don't say that."

"No listen, you need to know. If anything ever happens, whether it be because of me or my dad, I'll come back to you. I always will and I know that because I'm never going to stop loving you."

I covered my mouth.

"Camz..."

I got my shit together and took a deep breath. I then pushed back my hair before meet her gaze again, "Sorry it's just...I love you so much."

Lauren forced a smile and tenderly kissed my lips, "I know, I love you too. And trust me, I'm scared too. But we're here right now. Together. And nothing is going to get in the way of that."

"..."

"So let's make the most of it."

I pulled away again and gave her a confused look.

"Let's go out and explore the city. Get a little drunk, look at the art, and get lost in the culture."

I smiled at that suggestion, "That sounds lovely but..."

"But what?"

"I'm a light drunk." I shrugged, slightly embarrassed.

Lauren smirked, "Oh, I know."

"Then?"

"We'll leave that for last." She simply said.

"I don't know...what if someone sees us?"

"Camz, we're on another continent. I'm sure we'll be fine."

I wanted to protest but god did I want to experience this adventure with her. We were in the Bahamas for gods sake.

I sighed before I gave in, "Fine."

"Great, let's go. Maybe we can go shopping while were at it because we have nothing more than the clothes on our back."

"Or we could just go commando. I mean I wouldn't mind-"

Lauren playfully rolled her eyes at me before she took off her jacket and put it over my shoulders. I was going to protest and give it back to her but she beat me to it by wrapping her arm around me and already leading me towards the exit.

Outside, we didn't waste anytime exploring. We walked through streets, neighborhoods, every place you could possibly imagine in this town. The art splattered on the walls was absolutely breath taking. Every single detail, curve, line, color was carefully drawn onto selected solid canvases. Lauren was in complete awe. She loved art, probably more than anyone I've ever knew. But that was the thing about Lauren. She wasn't just Lauren. She was an artist, a musical genius, a photographer, and even a pretty damn good softball player. She was talented in so many areas that I wouldn't even try to attempt. But that was the thing about her. She did attempt them and somehow, one way or the other, she happened to be good at them. But what wasn't Lauren Jauregui good at?

By the time we finished exploring, we managed to get a quick bite at high end bar.

It was late. But for the time, I was surprised that the people were still awake. Although mostly foreigners were present, it still struck me that the city was young, well and arguably thriving.

After arguing with Lauren, which for the most part, consumed our whole night, she convinced me to drink a little bit. I didn't think think that I'd get that drunk. But then again considering me, that was more than enough to get me seeing double.

By three in the morning, Lauren herself was a little tipsy and decided that it would be safe to get back to the beach house. Remarkably, we managed to get there in once piece. It wasn't far either, maybe a few blocks, which was lucky for us because we would've gotten lost if it was even further than that.

Through a few sways, giggles and even tripping over each others feet, we managed to make it up stairs and into a bedroom.

Lauren immediately fell face first into the mattress and I followed. We giggled at each other for absolutely no reason and before I knew it, she was staring at my lips. Or maybe it was me who was staring at her lips. Whoever it was, I don't know, but know we were both staring at each other.
Our alcohol filled breaths mixing in each others close proximity. I wanted to kiss her. Like really kiss her. And oddly enough I already was. I didn't even decide that I wanted to kiss her, I just wanted it and before my brain could even keep tract of this action, I was already lying against her, our legs tangled together and her hands down my already bear back. When did I take my shirt off? Who the fuck knows, but by the time I realized that, I was straddling my girlfriend and she was taking her top off. She fumbled a bit with the buttons of her blue flannel and in response to her struggle, I ripped her shirt open. The buttons popping off all over the place. Lauren's dilated green eyes quickly met mine in response to my action. Her flannel slipped off her shoulders as we gazed into each there eyes. We stayed like that for a while. Just starting. And silence filled our ears. Only the occasional sound of our erratic toxic breath and beating hearts interrupting it.

Then suddenly she grabbed a handful of my hair from the back of my head and pulled me into her lips.

I fell blissfully into her rough passionate kisses. They were full of love, lust, anger, but most of all, fear. There was so much of it; in her touch, her mouth, and her furiously beating chest. I could physically feel it. Radiating off her body as she pleasured me through the night.

I woke up feeling the same way. Pain filling my chest as I revisited last night's events. I couldn't shake how her skin felt against me, how right it felt to kiss her, and how much my body hungered for more. It was a terrible addiction. Wanting her. Needing her.

Last night, I wanted her more than I ever did before. I knew what it felt like to live without her. And that's when I realized that's it's never going away; my desperation for her...it is a terrible feeling, having a craving you can never saturate.

It's an addiction in itself. Love that it is. But it's only because as human beings, it is the very thing we hope can fill the cracks in our heart and heal our brokenness.

But that wasn't the case for me, not fully. Yes Lauren had healed me, and she practically saved my life because of it, but it wasn't just her. My life was constantly surrounded by love. All in different forms. She just happened to be the person who helped me realize it. And from there, I grew. I started to accept the world and my past and dealed with it. And then one day, I woke up, and it didn't hurt as much anymore.

But today, I woke up and felt nothing but fear and pain well up in my chest. It hurt. The fear of losing her hurt. And having her here, hugging me from behind, was how I pictured our future to be.

In our own home, waking up to each others snores as our dogs scratched our bedroom door. Cooking breakfast for each other. Arguing. Laughing. All that good stuff.

I wanted us to have a forever. I wanted her to be my forever.

I've always wanted that. Just now, I've found myself hoping for it more than I did before.

Narrators POV

For the remainder of the week, Camila and Lauren explored the city.

When they weren't, they were in the beach house either cuddling, kissing, talking or of course having sex. The two girls loved that last day activity the best however, there were moments when they would be in each other's arms and would not say a word. The only thing they could hear was the beat of their hearts and their calm rhythmic breaths. Those were the moments they cherished most.

It had been five days since the girls took their spontaneous trip. But in those very days the girls have been able to accomplish so much. They quickly settled into the Beers beach house, went to several shops and stores where she bought clothes and even groceries.

In fact Camila had just come back from shopping when she heard an infectionous beat boom from an upstairs room.

She set down her bags and followed the music to a closed bedroom door. Cautiously, she opened the door.

Inside Lauren had been listening to one of her infamous CD's while she was sitting on the edge of their bed doodling in her sketch book.

She was so concentrated. Her brows furrowed as she bit her lip and casually glanced at the ocean in front of her.

"You packed your sketch pad?" Camila suddenly asked.

Lauren jumped up in surprise and nearly threw her pencil.

She turned to look at her girlfriend as red as a beat. Almost as if she was embarrassed for having been caught in such an intimate activity.

Lauren turned back around and closed her sketch book before she murmured, "Yeah, I always keep it with me."

"Why are you acting wired?" Camila asked before her girlfriend got up and switched off the CD player.

"I-I didn't know you'd be back so soon." Lauren stuttered with her back facing her girlfriend.

"Yeah, the lines weren't long or anything..." Camila explained before she grasped her girlfriends hand and cocked her head to the side, "Why are you so out of it?"

"Because, I don't know." Lauren shrugged, "I was really getting into my work and you kind of scared me a little. Plus it didn't help that I was playing my cd so openly."

Camila half smiled, "You shouldn't feel embarrassed or anything. Your music is amazing and I bet your drawings are too."

Lauren shrugged before she said, "They're alright."

Camila shook her head at her girlfriend before she asked, "Let me see them."

"What?"

"Your drawings."

Lauren almost laughed, "Uh no."

Camila pouted, "You've shown Sofi before haven't you?"

"Yeah but only because she can see them."

"And why can't I?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"They're of you." Lauren finally admitted.

Camila blushed, and murmured an, "Oh."

"You have to promise not to laugh." Lauren said clutching onto her sketch book against her chest.

"Why would I laugh?"

"I-I don't know."

Camila playfully rolled her eyes, "Fine, I won't laugh. Alright?"

"Okay." Lauren sighed before she sat down on the bed and Camila followed.

She placed the black leather book on their laps and then let the other girl place her hands over the cover.

She gave Lauren an unsure look before the green eyed girl smiled and promoted her to open it.

Camila slowly opened the book and the first few pages consisted of doodles dated from their sophomore year. They ranged from skulls to sunsets and beautiful sunsets.

It wasn't until she got to a page dated from their junior year when a very familiar face struck their eyes.

She smiled at her two dimensional self as it read a book with her back against an oak tree.

At first she thought that Lauren had simply made up the scene. But then when her eyes wandered the the title of the book on her lap, she realized that it couldn't of have been made up. She never told Lauren the name of her favorite book. Not that she remembered of at least. But she did recall reading it plenty of times at school before or after school when she wants hiding from Lauren's friends.

"You drew this back then?" Camila turned to ask.

Lauren half smiled and replied, "Yeah."

"Why? We didn't know each other back then...not officially."

"I didn't have to know you to know that you were beautiful back then too."

Camila averted her girlfriends eyes and tried to keep a huge smile from forming on her face, "I didn't even know that you knew that I existed."

"It's hard to miss a pretty face or butt like yours." Lauren nonchalantly said.

Camila playfully rolled her eyes and hit her girlfriends arm.

Lauren smirked amusingly before she looked back down at her sketch pad in which Camila continued to flip through.

There were many drawings of her, but they all had one thing in common. None of them were completely finished. But why?

"Lauren."

"Mmhmm?"

"Why don't you ever finish your drawings?"

"I do." Lauren countered.

"You don't finish mine." Camila claimed.

"Well that's because, I can't."

"Why?"

Lauren half smiled before she met her girlfriends eyes and said, "Because, you're like book Camz. But your a book in the same way that once you finish it, or think that you finish reading everything about it, you never really do. You can have a lot to say about the book but you can never say everything because there's always something else to say. And you're kinda like that. I can't quite finish you off because you can't be finished. There's always something missing or more to the picture than I even know...that even I can comprehend and I think that's why I can't finish drawing you."

Camila was absolutely speechless. How could the green eyed girl of felt so deeply about her from the very beginning? Why did she still feel that way now? Did she not know Camila enough? Or was it simply because she could never stop learning more about her?

"Well, why don't you try one more time?"

Lauren snapped her neck to look at the younger girl, "What?"

"Finish drawing me. Right now."

"I wouldn't even know where to start..."

"What haven't you drawn yet?"

"Easy, a nude."

Camila practically fell off the edge of the bed.

"Hey you asked."

"I don't know..."

"It's not like I've seen anything I haven't seen before."

Camila rolled her eyes at Lauren and crossed her arms. Sure she's been naked in front of her but drawing her naked was a whole different story.

"Take your cloths off." Lauren suddenly demanded.

"What?"

"Take them off." She repeated.

"Why?"

"I'm going to draw you." She flipped through her sketchbook for an empty page and planned her pencil in her hand.

"Naked?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because Camz."

"Because why?"

"I want to draw every shape and curve that makes up your existence. I need to intimately comprehend it. Or at least attempt too."

"You sure it's not just something you're gonna use to jack off too?" Camila lightly joked.

"Why jack off over a drawing when I have the real thing?"

Camila blushed.

"Now strip and lay down on that couch for me."

"For you?"

"Yes princess." Lauren simply murmured before her eyes hovered back to her sketch pad in front of her.

Camila sighed in defeat and did what her girlfriend wanted. She stripped out of her clothes and then laid on the couch. She didn't know how to pose so she just awkwardly laid on her back as she waited for Lauren to instruct her.

The green eyed girl noticed Camila's obvious need for instruction and smirked as a few ideas popped in her head.

She set the sketch pad and pencil aside and walked towards the naked girl.

Camila could feel her heart beating out of her chest as she heard Lauren's footsteps grow louder with each step closer to her.

Once Lauren hovered over the girl, she licked her lips as she enjoyed the work of art below her.

Then to Camila's surprise Lauren crouched down to meet her eye level, "Turn towards me." She instructed.

Her girlfriends husky voice startled her and made her turn in seconds.

Lauren smirked in response to her girlfriends quick obedience, "Now, moved your right leg a little bit closer to me."

Camila complied.

"Rest your head on the palm of your hand and..." Lauren said before she moved the other girls arm for her. She let it rest on her side and then outlined the side of her body with her fingertips. Making a sharp spot at the girls butt.

"So beautiful." Lauren breathed before she stood up and let the brown eyed girl fully position herself.

When Lauren sat back down on the bed, she started off the generic sketch of the couch and then worked her way to her girlfriends shape. Her eyes wandered from paper to model as she drew away. She perfectly shaped Camila's body and constructed how the hair on her head was sprawled over the dark brown chair and just over her shoulder.

Suddenly, green eyes met brown ones and Camila almost jumped in surprise of her girlfriends concentrated stare.

She was analyzing her eyes. Looking deeply into those pools of chocolate before she glanced back down at her sketch book.

She then outlined things like her breasts and other womanly curves before she blended in the shadow of the couch onto the imaginary floor and wall in the scene. After finishing up those little details, she spent time perfecting her girlfriend.

Almost an hour in, Camila had been exhausted of lying in the same position. She moved a little and Lauren practically screamed because she thought the action was significant. Camila moved back to the spot she was sitting in and Lauren managed to finish drawing her. Or at least say she finished drawing her.

Lauren then gave Camila permission to move around and change back into her clothes.

"I can't believe you." The brown eyes girl mumbled before she plopped down next to her girlfriend.

Lauren cocked her brow at her before a sly smile creeped on her face, "You're the one who said you wanted me to finish drawing you. I just happened to get a great view while doing it."

"Okay but that's like porn."

"It's my porn. Don't worry I won't show it to anyone else."

"Especially not Sofi. Don't you even think of letting her see this book again."

"Oh she's definitely never getting her hands on this again." Lauren assured her, before she handed the book to the brown eyed girl.

Camila opened the book and flipped to her newly drawn picture. Again, Lauren didn't fail to impress her. The drawing looked just like her. She even got it down to the faint mole on her forehead.

"Wow." She simply breathed.

"Sorry if sucks. You made me draw under pressure."

"Sucks? SUCKS? ITS AMAZING." Camila beamed, "It looks just like me and you even got it down to the detail without planning or anything."

Lauren shrugged her shoulders as of it was a breeze, "I could do better."

"It's perfect."

"It's not quite finished though."

"What do you mean? What's missing?"

Lauren ran her hand through her hair before she sighed and looked back at the drawing. She narrowed her eyes at it as she rested her head on the back of her hand over her girlfriends shoulder, "I don't know. Everything?"

"You're ridiculous. It's great."

She bit her thumb nail and analyzed the picture further before she grabbed it from her and started scribbling some words down next to her drawing:

I look at her and all the things I am used to cease to matter because there is only her and she is what matters.

Lauren then closed her sketch book.

Camila furrowed her brows on confusion to the green eyes girls action, "What did you write?"

"None of your business." Lauren playfully replied.

"Um it is my business. If anyone deserves to know what you wrote next to my naked body it's me."

"Well you're outta luck there princess."

Camila grunted and crossed her arms, "Why are you so damn difficult?"

"Because you make it fun." Lauren teased.

"This isn't fair."

"Yes it is. It's my sketch book."

"Ugh fuck you."

"You always want to do that don't you?"

Camila blushed and slapped Lauren's arm again, "Shut up!"

"Or?" Lauren cooed.

"I'll go home."

"You try it. I'm sure it's a long walk back." Lauren said before she crossed her legs and flipped through her sketch book.

Camila narrowed her eyes at her, "You wouldn't let me step foot outside this house."

"Maybe." Lauren replied.

"Come on admit it."

Lauren quirked her brow before she stifled a chuckle and said, "Over my dead body."

Camila smirked mischievously before she said, "Oh yeah?" And jumped on the green eyed girl.

Lauren fell back into the mattress and dropped her sketch book and pencil. The younger girl was hovering over her and staring dead into those emerald pools. She grabbed Lauren's wrists and pinned them against the mattress.

"Say you don't want me to go anywhere."

"No."

Camila lowered her lips to Lauren's and whispered, "Say it."

"Or?"

"I'll be sad." She pouted.

God dammit. Lauren thought. She pulled the sad girlfriend card.

"Fine. I don't want you to go anywhere and I wouldn't let you anyway." She stubbornly mumbled.

Camila smiled goofily before she pecked Lauren's lips and got off her.

Lauren rubbed her wrist and turned to look at her.

She winked and said, "Thought so."

Back at home, Dinah and Camila's mother had been frantically searching for any whereabouts about her and her girlfriend. It came to the point where they wanted to call the police and file in a case for a missing person but then one of Dinah's FaceTime calls actually went though.

Camila answered it and explained to the Polynesian and her mother that she had gone on a vacation with Lauren for a week because of some school troubles. Relieved that her daughter was okay, Sinu pushed her anger aside and trusted her instinct when believing that she was in good hands. She knew Lauren would protect her and only do what's best. So this little trip, was perhaps good for her daughter. The only thing she hoped for was that she was able to catch up with her studies after missing a whole week of school. Camila promised her that she would get back on track as soon as she was back. And at this point, that was enough to keep her mother from lecturing her.

Dinah on the other hand, didn't lose the opportunity. She went on a whole tangent on how irresponsible she is and how much grief she had put her and her own family through. Camila tried to get the Polynesian to understand that the trip was her last option and she did but only after she was able to shut Lauren up in the background who had been saying snarky comments to purposely anger the taller girl.

Camila was eventually able to calm her friends nerves and assured her that she would be back in a few days.

After her call, Lauren seemed different.

She was hurt over something she had already been expecting. She knew that her folks wouldn't dare to even attempt to search for her.
To worry at all really. And the simple fact destroyed her stone cold heart.

"Babe?"

"I'm fine." Lauren quickly replied.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. You're here. That's all I need."

The weekend was quickly approaching and Lauren and Camila decided to stay at the beach house for the few days they had left.

They figured they've done enough exploring and just wanted to spend as much time with each other as they could.

The girls were on the beach on a sunny Saturday evening. Camila had been reading a book she picked right off the shelf of the Beer's living room in a black bathing suit. While Lauren, also dressed in a green bathing suit, took up close photos of her girlfriend with her friends cannon camera she borrowed.

At first, Camila didn't notice the green eyed girl capturing her every move. Lauren initially started a little farther from a normal view and then worked her way to a closer ground view of the brown eyed girl from various angles.

Camila half smiled and hid her face further into her book.

"You really like to get into your work don't you?" Camila murmured.

"I just thought I'd spam Madison's camera with some art." Lauren replied as she continued to snap pictures of her blushing girlfriend.

"Smooth Jauregui."

"I know." Lauren smirked before she frowned and groaned, "Will you get that damn book out of your face now? That's where the money is."

"I'm a little photogenic, sorry." Camila played along.

Lauren quirked her brow at her before she set the camera to the side and snatched the novel from her girlfriend's grip.

"Hey!" Camila almost shrieked before the older girl grabbed her wrists and pinned her against the warm sand.

Lauren was straddling her as Camila tried to break free of her hold.

"Let me go!"

"No."

"No?"

"No. You have to kiss me first."

"What? Why?"

"Because I'm your girlfriend and I said so."

"Well I'm not gonna."

"Not even if I..." Lauren husked as her hand skipped to the brunette's thigh, "Make us a little more comfortable here."

Camila squirmed in response to Lauren's intoxicating touch, "Mm-no." She managed to say.

Lauren pulled her hand away and let go off her girlfriend's wrist, "Fine." She simply said before she stood up and threw the brown eyed girl over her shoulders.

"Lauren." Camila tried to calmly say, "Put me down, now."

"No." She mocked.

"This isn't funny."

"It's kind of funny."

"UGH!" Camila groaned as she hit Lauren's back with the balls of her fists.

Lauren ignored her and continued to walk towards the clear blue ocean.

When she stepped into the shallow end she shivered and said, "Shit it's cold."

"See? This is a bad idea. Now put me down."

Lauren mischievously smirked, "No actually, it's perfect."

"LAUREN."

"Mmhmm?" She hummed as she continued to walk further into the ice cold water.

"If you do this, I'll hate you." Camila said in hopes of halting her girlfriend.

Lauren thought about it for a few seconds, but then she laughed and said, "You couldn't hate me even if you tried." before she dropped the brunette into the water.

The collision caused a minor slash and Camila practically swallowed a bunch of salt water. She quickly stood up and was induced into a fit a coughs.

Lauren couldn't help but laugh as she watched her girlfriend struggle to regain her composure.

And before Lauren could even notice, the brunette ran towards her at full charge with a fiery glint in her eyes. Lauren stiffened in her place and couldn't help but shudder at Camila's intensity. And before she knew it, Camila tackled her into the water.

Lauren held her breath and emerged as soon as she hit the sea floor.

She opened her eyes and exhaled. She met the brunette's pleased face before she smiled and wrapped her arm around her small waist. She pulled her into her body and caressed her cheek before she placed a innocent peck on her lips.

"Why are you so difficult?" Lauren asked.

"Because you're hot when you're angry." Camila replied.

Lauren's grip tightened on her, "You little shit."

Camila leaned into the green eyed girls lips and ghosted over them. She then grabbed a hand full of her dark locks and crashed their lips together.

Lauren smirked into the kiss and then slipped her tongue into the brunette's mouth.

Camila let Lauren have full control over the inside of her mouth

"Let's do something we've never done before."

Camila quirked a brow at the idea but then shook her head, "No, let's get high together."

Lauren couldn't believe her ears, "Did you just say what I think you said?"

Camila seemed a little embarrassed, "Yeah you know, I've never smoked weed before or anything and I just thought that it'd be cool to do it once in my life with someone I trust." She shrugged.

"Why didn't you tell me before? I would've been glad to get wasted with you."

Camila shrugged, "I don't know. I guess I was just a little scared because I've never done it before...but it's just a plant right?"

"Yeah, totally natural." Lauren smirked.

"You promise you won't let me do something stupid?"

"Yeah I promise." Lauren assured her.

"Okay." Camila breathed to herself, "Let's do this."

Lauren giggled at her dorky girlfriend before she kissed the brunette's nose and then held her hand.

She pulled her over to Camila's previous spot and told her that she would be back.

She ran into the Beer's beach house while Camila took a seat and patiently waited for her girlfriend to return with a lighter, a cheap cigar and a jar of green content.

She took a seat next the her girlfriend and crossed her legs. She then opened the jar and a strong odor filled the air.

Lauren smiled as she turned to look at Camila's disgusted expression.

"Weed's one of those things that's more appealing only after you got a taste of it."

Camila covered her mouth, "I hope so." She mumbled.

Lauren then continued to prepare the blunt. She started off by loosing up the end of the cigar to loosen it up. When the tobacco became tender, she worked her way up the blunt by gently rubbing it's sides to sprinkle the content out of the wrap. After all the content was disposed of, she carefully ripped the cigar wrap perfectly down the middle. She then licked the inside of the wrap and started to sprinkle some of the green content onto the boat of the blunt. Afterwards, she rolled up the wrap and occasionally licked the ends to seal the wrap. When she was all finished, she picked up the lighter and burnt the outside of the blunt to dry up the wrap. When a few streaks of black lines formed on the outside of the blunt, it was ready to be smoked.

She turned to her girlfriend and handed her the blunt.

Hesitantly, Camila grabbed it. She then looked at it with big wide eyes.

"Having second thoughts?"

Camila shook her head and replied, "No, I'm just a little nervous."

Lauren smiled and placed her hand on her girlfriend's thigh. She have it a reassuring squeeze and said, "You're gonna be fine. Trust me."

Camila took a deep breath before she met her girlfriend's glistening emerald eyes, "Okay." She finally agreed.

Lauren smirked and readjusted the blunt in Camila's hand. She then lit the lighter and ignited it.

She then put the lighter off to the side and instructed Camila on how to inhale the smoke.

With one final deep breath, Camila went in for the kill.

Almost instantly she fell into a fit of coughs. Lauren couldn't help but laugh at her as she helped the brunette regain her composure.

"Jesus that's horrible."

"You have to get used to it. Here take another hit." Lauren encouraged.

Camila sighed and took another whiff of the blunt. Again, she coughed a little afterwords but could already feel herself entering the subconscious of her brain.

Lauren herself took a few hits before handing it back to her girlfriend and lying down beside her.

Camila followed. She was starting to see the colors of the sunset merge with those of the ocean to create a beautiful green color.

"Woah." She breathed before her eyes wandered off to the clouds above her that seemed to be dancing.

"Do you see that?" The brunette said pouting at the sky, "That duck is doing the dougie."

"Okay Mr. Swope, I think you've had enough." Lauren chuckled before taking the blunt from her girlfriend and taking a hit.

"What's the pope got anything to do with this?"

Lauren giggled, "You know for being a light drunk, I didn't think it would be this easy to get you high."

"Says the girl who can build a fucking blunt in under a minute."

She shrugged, "What can I say? I'm a pot head."

"For all the time I've known you, I've never seen you smoke. Do coke sure, but smoke a blunt, never."

"Well, there's a real good explanation for that." The older girl claimed.

"Try me."

"For one, I haven't been able to get my hands on any greens lately until just recently, and two I don't want to be a bad influence on you."

"It's a little too late for that now don't you think?"

"It's never too late." Lauren said before she placed the blunt in her mouth and took a whiff.

Camila turned to look at her with her red, droopy tired eyes, "You have really nice eyes." She said inching closer to Lauren's body to look at them, "And you're very pretty too. Why are you my girlfriend?"

"Because you have a nice ass." Lauren sheepishly replied.

"Really? I thought it was because I had a strong personality."

Lauren smirked, "No, I'm just kidding. Of course it's not just because of your ass."

"Then?"

"It's a lot of things."

"Like?"

"You already know most of them."

"And the ones that I don't?"

"Well, there's no use in tellin' ya because then where would be the fun in that?"

"You like to torture me, don't you?"

"Every second of the day baby."

Camila wrapped her leg around Lauren's waist and snuggled into her body.

Lauren smiled down at her girlfriend before Camila spoke again, "We go home tomorrow."

"I know."

"What if..." Camila said emphasizing the last word, "we just never go back."

"And what? Stay here?"

"Wherever. It doesn't matter. Like think about it. We leave. Start new. And build our lives together."

"Camz you don't know what you're saying."

"I might not but, I like the idea of having a future with you."

Lauren softened her expression, "I like that idea too." She assured her, "I'm just trying to do what's best for you."

"And what is best for me?"

"To live your life like a normal 18 year old. Go to school. Be with your friends. Fuck your girlfriend every now and then. You know, all that important stuff."

"How are you so sure that you won't go away?"

"Because, I'm not going to let him ruin this too."

?

"He's had control over my whole life for years. And I'm tired of it." Lauren openly admitted, "I'm tired of being another pawn on his chess board. And I'm sure as hell not going to let you be one too."

Camila sighed before she stared into the sunset, "How do you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Convince me."

She smiled, "Because I'm fucking Lauren Jauregui."

"Nice to know you've grown to be modest."

Lauren smirked before she turned to look at her girlfriend and scrunched up her nose, "Bite me."

"The last time I did that I made you bleed."

Lauren slightly shivered at the memory of that rough sex, "Mmm don't remind me or I'll have to jump your bones in plain sight."

"You'd love that wouldn't you?"

"Very much actually."

Lauren smirked before she said, "I like you for a lot of things, okay. But one of them is because you're able to see the colors in a grey world."

Camila looked up at Lauren and smiled.

"I don't know how you're able to do that. You see the bad things about this world and try to turn them into something beautiful again because you know that they're beautiful."

"How do you do that?"

Camila shrugged, "I dunno. You just have to know that not everything is bad. Not all the time. And you just have to focus on the good."

Lauren smiled at that before she offered her girlfriend another hit.

Camila narrowed her eyes at the blunt and then shook her head, "I'm okay. I'm just starting to coherently speak in complete sentences."

"Coherently?" Lauren chuckled.

"Mmmhmm." Camila hummed.

"That's a little boring don't you think?"

"You calling me boring?"

"Maybe." Lauren challenged.

Camila flipped Lauren off before she snatched the blunt and took one last hit.

She then blew the smoke into her girlfriends face. Lauren smirked at the brunette's O shaped lips as the inhaled the smoke.

"Am I boring now?" Camila husked.

"If I say yes will you do something else that's hot?"

The younger girl rolled her eyes at her before she looked back into Lauren's red eyes and just stared. And Lauren stared back. They didn't say much after that. They didn't hear much of anything either. All that was left was their erratic beating hearts and their stare boring into the very depths of their colorful, thriving, vulnerable souls.
