Tris pov
It's my birthday today, my actual birthday is today. I was just celebrating it the other day with my parents, but today I'm celebrating it with friends. Al was invited but I don't know if he's coming.
We're having a small party at a Zekes house. His parents are out of town so Zeke and Uriah are th roughing a party for me. There's going to be no alcohol since I can't drink, we're just going to hang out and eat, stuff like that.
I'm getting changed when my mom walks in.
"Hey honey" she says hugging me real quick then sitting on my bed.
"Are you excited about your party, your friends are throwing you" she ask and I nod.
"Yeah, I just always had something different in mind, but now that I'm pregnant that can't happen" I say
"What is it," she ask
"I wanted to go on a road trip when I turned 16. Ever since I was little I always thought of that" I say and she nods
"We could of still did that" she says walking over to me and giving me a hug.
"It wouldn't be the same." I say
"Tris, come on don't be like that we can still do it, how about we arrange something for next week" she says
"No it's fine mom, I get too uncomfortable in a car and I always have to use the bathroom. Everything about me is just different." I say running my fingers through my hair.
"Don't say that, sweetheart" she says
"Your still Tris, the most caring person I know" she adds
"I'm pregnant at 16." I say a little loud
"My life is over, I'm going to have to take care of this baby for the next 18 years. I had dreams and plans for my life. I wanted to go to college and explore the world, but I can't do that now" I add
"Then why did you do it" my mom says
"Do what" I ask
"Have sex" she says
"I don't know, mom." I say sitting next to her and crying.
"I really don't know why, but if I could go back in time I would change everything" I say and she hugs me.
"Don't say that Beatrice, because It's hard right now , but I know you can get through this. You may be young but this baby is going to be the best thing that ever happened to you" she says
"Thanks mom" I say, standing up, giving her one last hug.
"Now enjoy your day, I don't want to see anymore tears" she says and I smile.
"I love you mom" I say
"I love you too" she says
Short chapter but I just wanted to say happy thanksgiving to everyone!
