Chapter 31 - The white dress
TAYLOR'S POV
"Death is following me today" I whispered to Paul while we're walking towards our villa room.
"... Well, good luck buddy" He replied as he opens up the door for me and shay.
We went in after I asked Wade and Ade to wait for me outside the room, I went straight to our room where I found Audrey lying in bed, busy with her phone. I breathe out that get her attention, I walk cautiously near my things, I could feel her eyes watching my every move, why am I so nervous! Inhale,exhale. I turn around to face her, I gulped.
"Euan'sheretopickmeup." I said, flatout. And nervous as fuck. Eyeing me that turns into a mile long squint, look, her mouth opens and then closes then giving me a what are you saying look. She then stands up still wearing that same look, approaching me and my eyes starts to wander around the room just to avoid her look.
"Euan?" she said, still peering.
"yeah" I said.
"picking you up"
"Uh-huh"
"Why?" she said, her face is dangerously too close to mine. I gulp, turning my head to the side. Why I feel like I did something wrong?
"Damian,event?..." I said, peeking at her.
"Okay... I'll go with you then."
Sigh." Goo-, wait,what?" why?!
" I said ill go with you..." Audrey said, walking away from me as she starts to pack her things, why is she doing this?
Ding! We both got inside the elevator quietly, Wade pushes the g button.
"Bodyguards, huh? How fucked are you with Damian?" Audrey said. I turn my head to the side just to get a glimpse of her devilish smile.
"Not as fucked as I am right now... I guess?" I said lifelessly.
"Aw, come on, don't be silly..." as soon as her finger graze to my skin, chills rush down to my whole body, " I won't do anything that you wouldn't like..." this is going to be a long ride.
The last person, Audrey wants to see right now is Euan and I get that, but if she wants to go back to New York with me. The elevator stopped at the lobby as we unload ourself out of it and went straight to the waiting area where we find Euan seating and waiting patiently, he turns his attention towards us and stood up in the process.
"Ready to go?" He asked while buttoning up his perfectly tailored suit. Colorful suit I might say, navy blue blazer, Khaki pantaloons, patterned socks and a pair of brogues.
"A, is going with us." I said as I pointed Audrey casually, Euan extends his hand toward Audrey and I may add, she's wearing her bitch face. Scanning Euan from top to toe. This is not good.
"Oh... um , Audrey this is Euan... Euan this is Audrey.. Daughter of Mr.Luther". I said, anticipating Audreys reaction is one of the most scariest thing in my life, and as I'm about to speak again, Audrey exchanges a hand with Euan. Taking a deep breath.
"Shall we." Euan said.
The ride earlier was quiet and how to I describe this... beyond awkward, good thing Euan seems to be preoccupied with his laptop while Audrey is stripping out Euans skin on her mind probably by the way she glares at him.
Ade opens up the door for us being Audrey the first to got out of the car followed by me and then Euan, Euan reaches for my arms and whispered something to me "your best friend is kinda scary... " I rolled my eyes and replied "maybe one of her cousin is your victim" I said,faking a smile but I know, Audrey wanted him out of the picture and I'm pretty sure about that.
"Audrey!" Cassandra greeted A, politely and exchanges a peck like a normal socialite to greet one another. Looks like they know each other... how come Euan didn't know Audrey or vice versa? "i didn't know your friends with Taylor?" she added, as I excused myself to them and went straight to my favorite spot in the back before the galley and I'm aware that Euan is following me.
Rolling my eyes, to no one as I spin to face him and to see his cocky aura "Why are you following me?" I sat down and so did Euan. Audrey takes her seat at the VIP right couch facing Cassandra where she could see me and Euan's couch other while talking to her.
"They said that I should keep an eye on you.." he replied proudly unbuttoning his suit and resting his arms to the armrest and smile "besides, I won't mind spending my time looking at your beautiful face" and a loud dropping off a bag was heard, Audrey.
I shook my head and take another glance at Audrey before i reclined my seat and put a thought to what these two can do on this flight, note to self? Don't be near with any one of them when they're at the same place breathing the same air, because it's a suicide.
"Anyway, I bought you a dress for tonight's auction" Is he trying to buy me? He should know by now that I'm not one of those girls he had slept with! And I don't have enough energy to exchange some random smart ass remark's with him, it felt like my spirit left my body and I wanted it back, So I just laid my head.
"What ever Euan..." I responded.
A light tap on my shoulder wakes me to my slumber, I open my eyes to find Euan talking to Cassandra intently "where's the bathroom?" Casting my eyes above to see Audrey standing beside me, I looked again to Euan still busy talking to Cass then looked again at Audrey,smiling impishly.
AUDREYS POV
This time around I'm the one who's writing a love note, on her neck. Her sweet sent never fails to turn me on, and she moans were like a fuel to the fire. I've never felt so much craving like this for a person before, the feeling like you can't get enough of. Pulling her closer to me as I grab her waist with both of my hands selfishly, unhooking her bra in the process, while I'm busy fighting her inviting yet soft lips,Massaging her breast in the process. Taylor hiss, biting her lower lip.
Shifting her to the lavatory as I slid off of her bra to the floor.
"W-we shouldn't..." TK said, seeing her chest moves up and down chasing her breath, my lips shut her mouth for a moment.
"Why? Scared your FI-AN-CE~ might catch us?" I said,provokingly to see what would be her reaction.
Her eyes go darker the right after what I've just said, looks like I flipped some kind of a switch.
She grabs my neck, pulling me into a kiss aggressively,a messy hot kind of kiss, pressing her body against mine as she turns me around so that my back is now against on the lavatory, grabbing my ass up to placing it on the top of the sink as she starts to unbutton my shirt and my shorts in haste, wrapping my legs around her. She does love my neck, letting out a soft moan loving her way of being rough to me.
"I would love to see you on that dress Euan is talking to..." I whispered seductively, teasing her more.
I could feel her breathing heavily in my ear, her hands travels down to my belly as it reaches at the hemline and knock knock knock. Are you kidding me!? I swear if it is Euan I'm going to kill that son of a bitch!
"Retouching our make ups~" Taylor said smartly. Not giving a fuck, holding Taylor's neck kissing her jaw line.
"We'll be landing soon girls, be quick" and the cockroach spoke on the other side. Rolling my eyes in pure irritation, Ugh! "OKAY!~" Taylor answered.
"I'm going to kill him." I declared.
My mom fetched me out of the airport as soon as we landed, I hated the feeling that I didn't get the chance to say 'see you at school' to Taylor properly because of all the people around her and that Euan who get too touchy touchy with my girl! I will kill him, soon.
"I thought you will stay for the whole weekends with your friends in Miami my dear?" Said my mom who is driving.
"Well, I didn't feel good earlier, so I decided to go home early, good thing that Taylor is on her way back here and offered me a ride home" I answered and letting out a sigh.
"How unfortunate..." she said sadly, while waiting for the gate to be opened for us, she looked at me and smiled like a light bulb is visible to her head, "why don't you go with me later in the auction that your Aunt Judy organized?" She offers.
"Wait? Is that the auction in Manhattan tonight?"
"Yes, dear, since your father won't make it due to some conflic-"
"I'm in!" I answered cutting my mom. " I mean I'll go with you" correcting myself and smiled at my dearest mom sweetly.
TAYLORS POV.
" WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING!?, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF PRIVILAGE TO WASTE YOUR TIME TO SNEAK UP AND DO WHATEVER YOU PLEASES!" Raging Damian said, and yes in caps lock because he is beyond furious and making out a big deal with where I went. I stayed silent, standing in front of his study room at his mansion, and I've found out that this Damian won't be allowing me to stay at King's mansion, not until I get my shit together based on what Euan said and what Travis said earlier over the phone.
"Can I go now?"
"Ms.Carter will be your personal assistant and will be staying with you" Damian said with a more mellow voice, "See you at the auction and no surprises" I walk out of his study, I always hated the smell of his mansion.
Seeing Ms.Carter waiting for me in the foyer and greeted me with a smile "Ms.King"
"Euan wants to invite you to a dinner before the Auction" she said while Wade ushers to Damian's limo "and he'll be glad to escort you to tonight's event" Acting like I didn't care and just went inside the limo.
"And Mr. Travis left this earlier"
Handing me a leather box, my eyes went wide gawking opening up the box, "he said good luck and happy birthday" Ms. Carter smiles to my reaction while I stare at Travis gift holding it like a precious stone on my palm.
"Vanquish..." I looked at her and then at this cube-ish key. I mean, come on! It's an Aston Martin? Who wouldn't want that! I looked at Ms.Carter again since I'm in a good mood "Why don't you, Wade and Ade grab some dinner with me instead? " I asked, she was taken aback to my invite, but then she smiled.
"Sorry Ms. King, but I have to turn down your invitation"
"Why?"
"Um, Miss king there are certain boundaries when it comes to our line work..."
"But I'm your boss now, is that right?"
"Yes?" Ms.Carter said, looking at me like I've something funny.
"Then, have a dinner with me, come on, it's not like it is written in your contract that you're not allowed to eat with me, right?"
"But Miss King..."
Ha! The perk's of being a boss! Well, not really... but soon after I get a hang of this family Corp. In the meantime, I'm busy with my pastrami burger, after a few bites, I took a slurp with my drinks. No one is talking to anybody, not even Wade and Ade are talking, while ms.Carter is eating her salad gracefully.
"Sorry if I drag all of you to have a dinner with me..." I started. The three of them looked at me directly instantly.
Ms.Carter swipes her tissue to her lip before looking at me again "Please don't apologize to us miss King, I was just surprised that you invite us to a dinner. To tell you honestly, I've spent my 2years as your Dad's secretary, but he never invited me or his bodyguard's to a dinner... not unless it's a company dinner and Thank you." she said.
Wade and Ade on the other hand is looking at each other, waiting for the others who will speak up first.
"Hey, don't be shy, you didn't need to make up a speech just to thank me" I said, smiling to Wade and Ade as they smiled too.
"Thank you, Miss King" they said in unison, that got me laughing. Truth is, I needed this company... I'm used to have a breakfast, lunch or dinner with my dad and brothers or with Ian and Mr.Walter, I hate eating alone, by myself... and I'm starting to miss them.
This party, gathering of the socialites kind of thing is getting into my nerves, wandering aimlessly in a sea of people, good thing that Ms. Carter here is starting to loosen up a bit while still being professional on her job. Whispering me who the hell is that or who the hell is this and why should I waste my time talking to them.
"Talking to people is tiring..." I whispered in her ears.
"You'll get used to it miss king..." she whispered back managing to get two glasses of chardonnay when a waitress passes us by and handing me one.
"Thanks."
"Mr.Salvatore is expected to be here..."
"Well, you're right" I said, as my vision landed to Euan at the far side of the room, Talking to this old guy who I had I conversation with earlier. "You can go home now" I smiled politely towards ms.Carter.
"Are you sure miss king?"
"Yup! You've done good job ms.Carter!" I said, merrily. Her glance lowered then, in my eyes again wearing a weird smile, oh... I forgot. "Oh.. Sorry, force of habit" I said shyly as I lowered my fist... she giggled and instead of a fist bump she kissed my cheek. Next time, no fist bump... handshake or a kiss on a cheek will do, i reminded myself.
"See you tomorrow miss King, and thank you again for the dinner" with that she took her leave.
I return my attention again to where might that manwhore is, I sigh noticing he's still talking to the same person. I took a sip on my chardonnay and started to walk towards him. He is still on my list of my Beware-list, but it's kind of the right thing is, given the circumstances that we're in, getting closer and closer to where Euan was, I took another sip.
Euan takes notice of me as he smiles and signals me to come over, I lazily smiled in return, while the old guy asked something to Euan as he seems to agree with the question, getting an idea that the old guy named Marcus Gruber and then voila! A wild Audrey appears in front of me! She smiled at me, I looked at her then to Euan, She turns around, looked at Euan then back to me smirking. Oh please...Cut me some slack.
"White dresses looks good on you..." She teases and I know where will it leads to, and a Euan on the background appears "Nothing but the best for your Best friend..." Replied by this egotistic Man.
