Pink flushed cheeks and wide eyed
she descends those stairs
blowing in like a forceful wind
lips chewed, nails missing
"They've changed me.
My very definition is upheaved.

I place my arms around her
sneaking whiffs of coconut shampoo
and lavender soap.
Unwilling to question
I let her come on her terms
its the only way it works.

I don't quite understand.
i've never been one to hold to groupings
never felt a need to connect myself
to others in a cosmic way.
I wouldn't even know my sign
if she weren't constantly telling me.
