(  𝖕𝖆𝖈𝖐 𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖞  )

The sun had disappeared and put a kind of blindfold over the after-hours of the day, protecting it from the events that were going to follow. It was like everything was going to be sealed and the truth of the horrors in the very near future would be a mystery that was not an easy solve.

The door of the high school opened and out came two figures- one male and one female- holding hands, him leading them to the buses while she just giggled, "Come on."

"Where are you taking me?" She asked, still laughing.

"Somewhere where we can be alone." The male smiled cheekily at her, still leading her through an aisle between two school buses.

"We are alone." The female reminded her lover.

"Somewhere where we can be more alone. Come on." He opened the bus door and took her into the bus, them laying on opposite seats staring at each other. Scott finally caved in and slowly made his way over.

They kissed, and it soon turned heated. Although, the romance took a dramatic twist when Scott's claws began to grow and rip at the fake leather seats of the bus all because of his raised heart beat.

"What's wrong?" Allison whispered as Scott pulled back still hovering over her with his transformation already in process of turning him into a moon-controlled monster.

"Get away." Scott was breathing deeply and had moved out of her way so she could save herself.

"Scott? Scott?" The boy in question was hunched over trying to regulate his breathing but it was too late. He had turned.

"Get away from me." He turned to face her, fully transformed.

Allison ran to the front of the bus but Scott caught her ankle and yanked her back where she fell front first on the floor and she clung onto every chair she could but he overpowered her easily with his extra wolf-strength. She finally managed to kick him away and he flew back to the doors at the back of the bus, giving herself enough time to run again and attempt at squeezing her fingers between the two pieces of metal to open the door. Scott chucked a seat across the bus as she prised her fingers through the door and yelled for help.

Allison had nearly created a big enough gap to get through but it was too late. Scott grabbed Allison by the mouth to muffle he screeches and pulled her back inside.

Elle was walking down the hall when she heard Scott yell and punch Jackson's locker, assuming he didn't realise it was his. He seemed to calm down a bit before walking off again so she decided to follow him as he was going to the meeting point of her and Allison. He turned the corner and bumped into Allison's front with his back when he turned around again, so Elle just stood there watching, waiting for their little moment to end so her and Allison could go to class.

"You scared the hell outta me," Allison said as she bent down to pick up her books.

"You're okay." breathed Scott, just staring at her. Elle had to admit, although she didn't particularly like her choice, Allison and Scott made a very cute couple.

"Once might heart starts beating again, yeah." She said nearly finished with her books, "What?"

"I'm just happy to see you,"

There was a voice over the speaker that made everybody stop and look up, "Attention, students, this is your principal. I know you're all wondering about the incident that occurred last night to one of our buses. While the police work to determine what happened, classes will proceed as scheduled."

Everybody groaned at the announcement. "Save me a seat at lunch?" Allison asked and ruffled his hair up a bit.

"Yeah," Scott confirmed as she walked round the corner to Elle.

"Is that love birds I hear chirping?" Elle teased as Allison made her way over.

Allison rolled her eyes with an excited smile before it dropped and she turned to the blonde with a grim expression. "Did you see the state of the bus this morning?"

Isabelle screwed up her face. "Don't even. It's all Jackson was talking about."

Allison placed a hand on Elle's arm when she noticed her face turn paler. "Are you okay?"

Elle nodded and shuddered. "It's just blood. Not a great fan. And first the body in the woods now this attack? Something strange is going on."

Chemistry. Also known as hell to the students of Mr Harris' Chemistry class.

"Stilinksi, if that's your idea of a hushed whisper, you might want to pull the headphones out every once in a while. I think you and Mr. McCall would benefit from a little distance, yes?"

"No!" whined Stiles, but Harris just pointed at two spare seats available on the opposite sides of the class from each other. Scott ended up sitting next to a random girl and Stiles was next to Isabelle.

When he noticed who it was he was being directed towards, he immediately froze up and walked stiffly to his seat. Isabelle smiled at him as he pulled his seat out and Stiles wore on expression like he was gonna puke with nerves any second. Danny and Jackson noticed this and laughed under there breath at him- Jackson, more harshly than Danny.

"Let me know if the separation anxiety gets to be too much for you." Mr Harris said and Stiles just glared.

"Hey I think they found something!" The girl next to Scott pointed at the window where a gurney was being wheeled out. The entire class crowded around one it of window trying to get a look at what was happening.

"That's not a rabbit," Scott said to Stiles before a man jumped up covered in blood and screamed scaring the whole class.

Elle jumped back in shock with the rest of her classmates and bumped into Stiles. She turned around and apologised for it as she was pretty sure she also stood on his feet, and he just blushed in response taking a step back from her to give her space to move.

Scott backed away and Stiles followed him. "This is good. This is good. He got up, he's not dead," Stiles said, "Dead guys can't do that,"

"Stiles- I did that,"

Scott and Stiles had sat down at an empty table leaving three spaces spare at the top. As they walked, they discussed Scott's 'dream' and how to control his new powers.

"-You don't know that."

"I don't not know it. I can't go out with Allison. I have to cancel,"

"No, you're not cancelling, okay? You can't just cancel your entire life. We'll figure it out."

Out of nowhere, Lydia appeared next to Scott, placing her tray down on the empty spot at the top of the table, "Figure what out?"

"Just, uh, homework" Scott lied quickly as more people came. Then Stiles clocked sight of Elle when she walked over and placed herself down opposite Lydia and into the spare seat next to Stiles.

He shifted in his seat. As much as he loved her, he felt uncomfortable being that close to her because it was so abnormal. His heart was pounding and he knew Scott could hear it.

"Yeah-" Stiles went along with Scott's lie, "What're they doing here?" Stiles mouthed to Scott as he leant forward across the dining table but he shook his head as he had no idea.

One guy sat down at the head of the table and Elle looked over at Lydia with raised eyebrows wondering when Jackson would be coming to kick him out of the seat. Lydia noticed the look from her best friend and her lips turned into a half smile-half smirk.

It was impeccable timing as Jackson strode up to the table with his usual air of cockiness. Allison arrived just before Jackson and Scott moved his bag from the empty seat next to him so she could sit down.

"Thanks," she said to him with a smile.

"Get up," demanded Jackson shoving the guys shoulder.

"How come you never ask Danny to get up?" The guy questioned, shuffling over a bit.

"Because I don't stare at his best friend's coin slot," Danny butted in from the other side of Stiles to Elle. He nodded in her direction to make it clear who he was on about. The guy finally got out of his seat and went to the bottom of the table. Scott stared at Jackson, astounded he had the power to just do that.

"So I hear they're saying it's some type of animal attack. Probably a cougar." Elle said as she played with the apple in her hand.

"I heard mountain lion," mentioned Jackson.

"A cougar is a mountain lion," Elle and Lydia said at the same time, "Isn't it?" added Lydia when she noticed the strange looks she received when showing her intelligence.

Stiles was mentally cheering that Elle didn't do the same because he hated the thought of her thinking being brainy wasn't sexy. He loved it when she talked geek. Obviously she never has around him but he has eavesdropped on a few conversations where she let something slip.

"Who cares? The guy's probably just some homeless tweaker anyway," Jackson said leaning back in his chair.

Elle scoffed and threw a chip at his forehead, Jackson frowned at her as she shook her head at him. He picked up the thrown chip and ate it, winking at Lydia.

Stiles was on his phone checking for any new information when he found a news report on the attack, "Actually I just found out who it is. Check it out." And he placed the phone in the middle of the table, stretching his arm out to keep it there where everyone can see.

Elle moved forward and leaned on the table. Stiles' eyes went around to check if everyone could see before playing it and he realised just how close to Elle he was when his nose nearly brushed hers.

Her warm breath was fanned on his face and he couldn't help but slightly stare at her lips wanting to push his forwards so badly but knowing he couldn't. He returned his eyes down onto the table and caught quite a sight of her chest area from her leaning position.

Cheeks inflamed, he awkwardly drew his attention to his phone again coughing to act normal. Isabelle didn't notice any of this as the phone in Stiles' hand had captured her full attention. But just because Elle hadn't, it doesn't mean Lydia hadn't as well.

Lydia's eyes narrowed in suspicion as she glanced between Stiles and Elle, the clogs ticking in her brain as she was beginning to see it may be more than just lust that the spastic boy had for her best friend. He still had no chance with her though, she thought, I'll make sure of that. The sound of the video starting took her attention away from the still blushing teenager.

"The Sheriff's department won't speculate on details of the incident but confirmed the victim, Garrison Meyers, did survive the attack. Meyers was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition." Different images and videos of the bus and Garrison Meyers flashed up on the screen as the group watched in interest.

"I know this guy," Scott said looking at Stiles in shock.

"You do?" questioned Allison.

"Yeah, when I used to take the bus back when I lived with my dad. He was the driver."

"Can we talk about something slightly more fun, please? Like, oh, where are we going tomorrow night? You said you and Scott were hanging out tomorrow night, right?" Lydia questioned.

"Um, we were thinking of what we were gonna do," replied Allison feeling very put on the spot about her date with Scott, and turning to him for his opinion.

"Well, I'm not sitting at home again watching lacrosse videos, so if the five of us are hanging out, we are doing something fun," told Lydia.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, five of us?" Elle questioned confused. She was not going to third wheel on two couples.

"Yeah! It's Friday night, you're not going to stay at home." Lydia said.

"Hanging out? Like the five of us? Do you want to hangout, like us and them?" Scott asked Allison panicking slightly.

"Yeah, I guess. Sounds fun," nodded Allison, feeling too polite to say no.

"You know what else sounds fun? Stabbing myself in the face with this fork," as to demonstrate his point, Jackson held up the fork which he was going to use. Elle couldn't help but hum in agreement, it was going to be so boring for her. Lydia snatched the piece of cutlery out of her boyfriends hand and sent a look to Elle.

"How 'bout bowling? You love to bowl!" suggested Lydia, trying to win Jackson over to agree to her 'fun' idea.

"Yeah with actual competition," Jackson scoffed looking pointedly at Isabelle with that statement.

"What? I suck at bowling," she shrugged, "My approach to bowling is more throw and hope. I'm out," the Nightly girl leant back into her chair and flipped her hair to one side where some landed on Stiles' shoulder. She pulled back so it fell off and rubbed his shoulder where it had landed as an apology.

Stiles simply flushed a red colour and nodded his head awkwardly as he tried to maintain the natural process of breathing.

"How do you know we're not actual competition? You can bowl right?" Allison asked Scott, completely ignoring Elle. Lydia didn't however.

"You're coming," demanded the strawberry-blonde.

"No, I'm really not," chuckled Elle leaning back, smirking at her. Lydia just growled in retaliation.

"Sort of," shrugged Scott to answer Allison's question.

"Is it sort of yes, or sort of no?" prodded Jackson, highly doubting Scott.

"Yes. In fact, I'm a great bowler." He lied through his teeth and Stiles knew it.

"You're a terrible bowler!" Stiles exclaimed as he and Scott walked down some stairs into the hallway.

"I know! I'm such an idiot."

"God, it was like watching a car wreck. I mean, first it turned into the whole group date thing. And then out of nowhere comes that phrase." Stiles said, throwing his arms around.

"Hanging out."

"You don't hang out with hot girls, okay? It's like death. Once it's hanging out, you might as well be her gay best friend. You and Danny can start hanging out," explained Stiles

"How is this happening? I either killed a guy or I didn't," asked a confused Scott.

"I don't think Danny likes me very much."

"I ask Allison on a date, and now we're hanging out."

"Am I not attractive to gay guys?"

"I make first line, and the team captain wants to destroy me, and now—now I'm gonna be late for work," sighed Scott.

"Wait, Scott, you didn't- am I attractive to gay guy- you didn't answer my question," shouted Stiles with a sigh at the end. A chuckle broke him out of his thoughts as he saw the Nightly girl in front of him. His face turned to shock and his mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water.

"I don't think that's the reason Danny doesn't like you,"

"Uh-uhh you heard that?" questioned Stiles, and he rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness.

"Only the last part, and I'm pretty sure if you want to know if you're attractive to gay guys then you should ask a gay guy. Not your best friend who has a girlfriend," advices Elle.

"Uh-um thanks for the advice?"

"You're welcome!" she patted his arm on her way past him.

Friday night had rolled around quick. Isabelle and Lydia were in Allison's room helping her choose what to wear for the bowling group date with Scott, Lydia and Jackson.

"Mmm, pass. Pass. Let me see. Pass. Pass. Uh, pass on all of it. Allison, respect for your taste is, uh, dwindling by the second," Lydia stated as she and Elle were going through Allison's wardrobe.

"This." And Elle pulled out a black shimmery top and passed it over to Alli.

At that moment, Chris Argent walked into Allison's room without knocking, "Dad, hello?"

At his name being said, Chris looked up and paused for a bit before remembering what he had forgotten to do. "Right. I'm sorry. I completely forgot to knock."

"Hi, Mr. Argent." Lydia and Elle greeted simultaneously while Lydia fell down onto the bed and posed.

He gave the pair a restricted smile that Isabelle had grown used to with Chris. She had been round the Argents a few times and she knew she was warming him up to her but he was still one of the most guarded people she had met.

"Dad, do you need something?"

"I wanted to tell you that you'll be staying in tonight."

"What? I'm going out with my friends tonight."

"Not when some animal out there is attacking people," clarified Mr. Argent.

"Dad, dad, I'm—uh -"

"It's out of my hands. There's a curfew. No one's allowed out past nine-thirty P.M. Hey, no more arguing," he pointed at her.

"Someone's daddy's little girl," smirked Lydia as she stood up again.

"Sometimes. But not tonight," Allison said forcefully and placed her purple beanie on her head. The two best friends looked at each other in confusion as the brunette picked up her bag.

"What are you doing?" they asked as Allison opened her window and stepped out onto the roof of the porch before flipping and landing in her front garden, keeping her balance.

"Eight years gymnastics. Are you coming?"

"We'll take the stairs," Lydia and Elle agreed. And when they left the Argent home they parted ways; Elle going home, and Lydia and Allison to the bowling alley.

"So, he was like 'no, I think you're good' but it's just like, excuse me? If you date my best friend, don't be rude to me. I can end you!" Lydia ranted through the phone.

It was one o'clock in the morning and Elle called Lydia for the run down of the double date. She was going to talk to Allison about it tomorrow because she wasn't sure how okay with being called past midnight Allison would be but Lydia was used to their late night chats by now.

"Maybe- only maybe so don't bite my head off- it has something to do with the fact that Scott isn't your date so he shouldn't be touching you up when you bowl?"

"Shut up. He could have been more polite about it though,"

"Sounds like he was pretty polite Lyds," Elle argued before changing the subject slightly, "How was Jackson?"

"Ugh-Jackson's just Jackson. Honestly sometimes I wonder how you two are so close,"

"What do you mean?" Elle chuckled.

"He can be a right dick but kinda cute and caring. He's so confusing," Lydia confessed.

"Well, you're dating him. If you don't like him just end it."

"But I love him, and sometimes I seriously wish I didn't, I just can't help it."

"Love makes us strange people, sweetie."

Melissa McCall was walking down the hall in her pyjamas and robe to say goodnight to her son, "Hey, Scott, I'm gonna go to- sleep," she sighed when she noticed the empty room and so she walked off to go to hers.

Suddenly there was a noise coming from the room she had just left so she went to check it out. Her heart beat picked up incredibly quickly when she saw a figure through the window and onto the bed. She picked up a baseball bat for protection that was in the corner of the room next to the door and swung it above her letting out a scream in which the intruder returned in surprise. "Seriously. Stiles, what the hell are you doing here?"

"What am I doing? God, do either of you even play baseball?" shouted Stiles, still slightly scared and mightily confused.

"What? Can you please tell your friend to use the front door?" She turned to Scott who was stood behind her in the door way.

"But we lock the front door. He wouldn't be able to get in," reasoned the younger McCall.

"Yeah, exactly. And, by the way, do either of you care that there's a police - enforced curfew?"

"No." Both Stiles and Scott said this in unison.

"No. All right then. Well, you know what? That's about enough parenting for me for one night, so good night." And with that, she left.

"What?" asked Scott walking into the room properly

"My dad left for the hospital 15 minutes ago. It's the bus driver. They said he succumbed to his wounds."

"Succumbed?"

"Scott, he's dead."
