Jenna cried out as another blow hit her face. She knew she was going to be bruised for awhile after she got out of this mess. After being captured by the Tenebrosi, they had chained her wrists to the wall of what seemed to be a dungeon, and her feet barely touched the floor since she was so short. "All of this will end," a familiar voice whispered in the dark, "when you tell us where that daughter of yours and Niguidara went to."

"Never," Jenna hissed, kicking her foot out, landing a blow on just the spot she wanted. Only one torch was lit above her head, giving her a dim light to see. However, her attacker kept to the shadows, making it hard for her to see. She had a pretty good guess, though who it was. But she decided to play the fighting victim and ignore his identity.

"You'll pay dearly for that, wench," the voice hissed.

"Give me your worst," Jenna taunted darkly. "I still won't tell you where my daughter and her friend are."

The voice chuckled, and she felt a hand on her face. "I think you will..." he whispered in her ear.

Jenna knew what he was thinking; twitching out of his reach, she telepathically attempted to attack his mind - only it somehow backfired, and gave her an automatic headache.   The voice laughed. "That's right, try to attack me, and it will only hurt you."

"That shouldn't be possible..." she said, trying to keep the fear from coming into her voice. If her fear spiked too much, Khila would be able to sense it through the maternal bond they had; and more than likely try to rescue her. She had to keep Khila and Leila as far from her prison as possible. Otherwise, whatever Narcissa had done to keep Leila out of the Malevolent Dragon's clutches would be for naught.

"Abraxas has grown in power," the voice continued, gently stroking Jenna's face again while she was still recovering from the shock of pain. "He's the one who is hindering your powers useless."

"How?" Jenna demanded, twitching away from him again, becoming rather annoyed with his touch. "No one should be that powerful. Not even the Great Malevolent Dragon."

"We don't know," the voice admitted. "But it doesn't matter. He will prevail."

"By turning Gondra into a place of darkness and terror?" Jenna retorted, glaring in the direction of the voice. "It was supposed to be a Haven; not a place for war."

"The war began thousands of years ago," the voice hissed, making Jenna flinch since he was so close to her ear. "Abraxas is just going to bring it out into the light."

"He will fail," Jenna growled, struggling to keep herself in check with her emotions. No doubt both girls had figured out what had happened to her. She could only pray to Adonai that Leila didn't remember the way to this place.

"We'll see," the voice replied maliciously.

Jenna began to kick again, but stopped when she sensed Khila. "No..." She whispered, horrified. Khila could only be a about a league away from her prison.

"Niguidara's close by," Trixell called out, entering the dungeon. If Jenna ever got out of this, she was going to give Trixell a good beating. "And she's not alone."

"Better give her the best reception she and her friends ever had," the voice said. She sensed him turn back to her. "We'll finish here after your daughter and Niguidara joins us."

Khila... Jenna called out telepathically; hoping no one would notice. She had to convince the girls to leave before everything fell apart.

After the brief fight with some of the Tenebrosi, they all landed in a clearing and continued on foot. "Do you know where the secret entrance to the castle is?" Leila asked.

"That, I'm afraid, is something I don't know," Deszo replied. "You probably should attempt to remember that one."

Leila rolled her eyes and was about to make a retort about her barely being able to use her telekinetic powers at the time; but, stopped when Khila, who had stopped with a distant look in her eye, whispered something. "Mother?"

"Khila, what's up?" Leila asked, quickly forgetting about her remark and focusing on what was going on with Khila.

"She's right here..." Khila said, half- ignoring Leila.

Suddenly, Leila felt someone call out, and knew it was Jenna. I need you both to turn back now, she ordered. If you come here, you will be falling into the hands of a trap.

Yeah, mom, Khila said through the combined connection, shaking her head. we kinda already figured that out.

Then turn back while you still can, Jenna persistent, her voice becoming more urgent. They want both of you, mostly Leila, but both of you nonetheless. Narcissa fought hard to keep you away from them, Leila; I am not going to be the reason why you were captured by the Malevolent Dragon.

We're coming to get you whether you like it or not, mom.

Khila- Jenna began exasperatedly, only to be cut off, somehow, and both girls fell to their knees, and both girls fell to their knees when a flash of pain shot through their skulls; it was as if somebody was taking a knife, and purposefully severing the connection, and followed by Jenna's scream. Just as suddenly as it began, though, it ended. Leila looked up to see Deszo in front of her and Khila.

"Are you okay?" He asked with genuine concern. That was the first time she'd heard any type of emotion from him; other than his own arrogance of course.

"I'll be fine," Leila said abruptly, brushing him off as she got to her feet. "We just need to get Jenna out."

"I swear, if they've touched her I'm gonna make them pay..." Khila growled, her hand going to the concealed blade in her arm.

"Just make sure it's fast," Leila said, turning to her friend; knowing there was no way she was going to talk Khila out of revenge so easily. Since they were part dragon, family was important to them, so avenging their hurt loved ones always became a top priority. Leila, though, didn't want to hang around that castle longer than she had to; and she knew Jenna wouldn't approve either, about the whole revenge scenario. "I just want to make this a quick grab and go."

"I can't make their deaths slow and painful?" Khila whined.

"If we weren't at that blasted castle, I'd let you," Leila answered truthfully. She herself had some revenge planning over her mother's death- if she ever found the culprit. She did have a suspect, though, who had plenty of motive and wielded the very weapon that killed her mother.

"What's so bad about being at the castle?" Deszo asked. There was a note of genuine curiosity hidden amongst that calm voice of his.

Leila glared at him, and he was smart to shut his mouth. She turned back to Khila. "Did you get anything from the contact Jenna made with you?"

"Not really," Khila admitted. "All I know is that she was in a dark room, suppressing any fear that she may have felt."

"Blazing flames," Leila grumbled. "Guess we go in the front door."

"Or, you can say please and I'll let you in," a new female voice called. Leila turned around to see someone hiding in the bushes.

"Who are you?" Leila asked, thinking she recognized the voice.

"You'd think you would recognize me by now," the voice replied, stepping out into the light; the Dalmation jasper around her neck that she recognized from her childhood confirmed that Leila knew who it was. Ella Gemín.

The Princess automatically loaded her weapon, but aimed it at Deszo. Khila charges at Ella, but the Tenebrosi Dragon Witch knocked her back with a simple telekinetic blast. "Did you know she was going to be here?" Leila demanded of Deszo.

"Actually, I did," Deszo admitted, looking toward the Tenebrosan. "but she's not here to kill you."

"She helped kidnap me over two hundred years ago," Leila retorted, shooting Ella a dark look as she towered over her best friend.

"Don't forget it was I who helped you escape with your mother as well," Ella reminded her; Leila thought she sensed a hint of fear in the anger, but it had been covered too quick for her to really know. "To be honest," she continues, crossing her arms as Khila got up. "I have no idea why Abraxas took your friend's mother; probably just a ploy to get you over here, but there are less messier ways to do that."

"Do I want to know what those ways are?" Leila asked, still glaring at Ella.

"Probably not," Ella said, shaking her head. "Now, let's hurry up and get that poor Dragon Witch out of there. There's no telling what's going on in there."

After receiving a very painful headache from whoever was diminishing the strength of her powers, Jenna relaxed a minute to take a deep breath. The pain soon subsided, but left her a bit groggy.

"They're on their way aren't they?" The voice in the dark asked.

Jenna turned in the direction of the voice. She knew he could see it clearly by the torchlight, and the look was one of anger. It was all he needed to confirm what he already knew.

"Good," the voice chuckled. "All is going to plan."

"Everything is prepared," Trixell called, coming into the room. She looked briefly at Jenna, a smug look in her that made Jenna wish she was telekinetic so she could wipe it off. "Niguidara will be easy now. My sister has her along with her friends."

"Good," the voice said. Jenna felt someone releasing her shackles. She dropped to her knees and groaned in pain as she pushed herself up. "She's coming with us."

Jenna waited until whoever it was came within arms length, and that was when she attacked. Water spouted from both of her hands, making her adversary cry out in surprise. Scrambling to her feet, she struggled to see in the pitch black, and looking for a way out. Instead of finding one, she tripped and was knocked over the head with something, blacking out.

"Next time a prisoner plans on escaping," the Krifton warned Trixell, who held a Shadow Club that she used to knock out Jenna. "Stop them before they attack."

"Where's the fun in that?" Trixell asked, looking at her nails. "She didn't escape, and she's still in one piece like the His Malevolence wanted."

Krifton snarled, but kept his retort. "Get her to the Throne room."
