"My god." She stated. "You're still alive.
Caroline June was proving to be quite the woman, and not excited about Seth in the slightest. It was quite alarming.
"Isn't that great news?!" I prompted, gaining a small smile from her.
"Yes, quite remarkable actually." She smiled slyly. My smile faltered slightly.
"Then why aren't you, I don't know... happy?" Seth questioned.
"My boy," She began fondly, stepping forward a few steps to meet him eye to eye, her crisp, wine coloured dress fresh and clean. "I am truly, exceptionally happy for you and your team. I have just learned that... sometimes, showing these emotions can lead us into danger. It can kill you."
"What does that mean?" Callum asked aloud.
"It only means that I am careful with how I show my emotions." She said, smiling warmly, yet her eyes gleaming with distaste of the subject."I happened to learn the hard way. Thats all."
Seth gulped and nodded. She winked at him in a non-flirtatious way and gestured her hand to the impressive mass of the White House. She spoke only two words after that message. "Welcome Home."
