I had been walking in the woods for what seemed like forever but was really only minutes. It seems there, at some point, was a dirt path leading up to the house but it was now over grown and a small path, probably made by people walking to and from, was directly in the middle of the bigger one. I wished what ever was in the wood’s would have at least put down a drive way so I could have just hailed a cab. So far I haven’t seen anything or even heard anything. Not even bird’s ventured into the territory. They must have good instincts.
It wasn’t until I had walked a little further that I heard a sound. My head shot around looking for it. There was nothing but as I looked into the distance I could see two shadow’s. Both the same height obviously men by their broad shoulders. From beside me a women stepped out from behind a tree. She stepped out and in front of me. She was a little shorter than me. She had a small waist and walked with grace. She wore a short white dress to her mid-thigh which seemed to be made of silk. She had angular and well defined features, including long, pointed ears. Her eyes were wide and almond shaped. Fair skin and dark brown hair cascading down to her lower back in loose curls. Beside her appeared the shadow’s I had seen further down the path.
I stepped back afraid. One of the boy sighed. “Why don’t all of you just stay away? Don’t yous ever learn.”
“Kill her.” Said the girl. The three turned around and began to walk, at human pace, up the path.
“You haven’t even asked my name.” I screamed after them.
“And why would your name matter?” The other much broader boy asked not even bothering to look back.
“Psyche.” Was the only thing I had time to say because a snake, hanging from a tree branch, was right in from of me. I screeched. As I tried to take a step back I tripped and landed on my butt. My hand’s scrapped against the ground but I was alright.
“What did you say?” Asked the less boarder boy.
“P-Psyche Henderson.” I stammered still looking at the snake. It transformed into a very pale-skinned and graceful girl dressed in bright clothes in an old-fashioned style. She wore a broad-brimmed straw hat with a dark blue ribbon against the base and no shoes.
The boy looked at me shocked before speaking. “How do you know that name?”
“What do you mean? How would I not know my own name?”
“It can’t possibly be you. Psyche would have fought not let her self be killed.”
I felt insulted still I knew it was true. “I still haven’t gotten all my powers and I don’t know how to use some the one’s I have. They just sort of work when they want to.”
“I don’t believe it.” Said the broader boy.
“I do.” Said the woman who was not wearing a hat. “My name is Freya.” She smiled down at me
“Yes. I believe it too.” Said the girl wearing a hat in her surprisingly high but nice pitched voice. “I can feel power radiating from her. My name is Uiara.” Said the girl wearing the hat.
The girl not wearing a hat held out her hand for me. I hesitantly took it and she helped me off the ground. “My eyes see with joy.”
“Uhh… Hi to you too?”
“It basically means I’m happy to see you.” Said the boarder boy. “Well if they think it’s you I guess I do too.” He held out his hand. “My name is Jacob.” I put my hand in his and shook it.
“My name is Edward.” The less boarder boy said extending his hand to mine. Again I put my hand in his. He held my hand by the fingers and brought them up to his lips. I felt his soft lips touch my skin. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. You should be more careful. Especially around here.” He let go of my hand once he was done talking. I felt my cheeks heat up but ignored it.
“What are you all? Especially her.” I said pointing to Uiara, the snake that turned into a human.
“I, Uiara, am a Encantado.”
“A what?”
“A Encantado. They are originally from Brazil but since the war started many of them have migrated over here. They live in a deep underwater realm named the Encante. Their usually viewed as a freshwater type dolphin or sea snake that has the ability to transform into a human. As you saw. “
I nodded my head. She would be the first one I have ever met. “Am I the first you’ve met?” Uiara. asked.
“Yeah.”
“Well then I’m happy to be the first.”
“Let’s get out of the woods.” Jacob said looking around. “Follow us to the house.” He said already walking away. The two girl’s stationed themselves next to me. Edward was behind us. I felt like maybe I was a princess and they were my guards protecting me.
The house didn’t look as it did in my dream. The window’s and door’s weren’t blocked by wood. In fact it seemed like they had been not only taking care of it but living in it. Making sure it stayed intact. When I stepped on the stairs they didn’t creak or bend a little under my weight. The wood seemed fairly new.
Once inside Edward locked the door and Jacob led me into what seemed like a living room. The couches were pushed off to the side, against the wall so you could still sit down. In the middle of the room was a wooden table. On top of it were books, candles, herbs, and what looked like maps. On one of the seat’s was a lap top that was still on.
“Sorry for trying to kill you.” Jacob said as he started looking through the pile’s of books on the table.
“Uh. It’s okay?” I wasn’t really sure what to say. It’s not everyday the person who tried to kill me said they were sorry.
“Just so you know I’m a werewolf and Edward is a vampire.” He said still looking through the pile of books. Many of them fell onto the floor but he didn’t bother picking them up. No body did.
Freya cocked her head to the side a she read something in an old leather book. “What are you?” I asked her. She answered me still looking down at the book.
“Me? I am an Elf.”
Again she was the first. “You’re the first I’ve met.” I didn’t bother asking if she was tall for an elf. I usually pictured elves as short people in green that worked up north in Santa’s work shop.
“I’m not.”
“Not what?” I asked confused.
“I am not tall for my kind. I am of average height. Unlike many myth’s we do not work with Santa Clause.”
I looked at her for a moment in both shock and embarrassment before realization hit me. “Did you read my mind?”
“Yes.” She replied still not looking away from the book.
“Well don’t. Stay out of it.” I spat harshly. I couldn’t believe she had read my mind. I felt violated.
She finally looked away from the book. “I am sorry. Forgive me.”
I looked away and crossed my arms. “Whatever. Anyways what are you guys doing in this house? It’s supposed to be abandoned.”
“Abandoned?” Said a girl as she walked into the room. She was tall. She had long straight blonde hair to her mid-thigh. Beautiful white skin like the glow of the moon and dark eyes like the night sky. She lips were a dull pink. Her features had a delicate roundness to them. I got a sort of scary mother vibe from her. “Sorry I should introduce myself. I’m Kyra and I‘m a Nephilim. It’s nice to finally meet you.”
“Half angel Half human?” I asked making sure I had it down correctly. I had just learned about them.
“Yes.” She said smiling.
“Well…uh… Nice to meet you too. Are there any more uncommon species here? So far you three are the first of each of your kind I’ve met.”
Kyra laughed. “No. It’s only us. Sorry.” Then looking over at Jacob. “Are you looking for this?” She pulled out a small leather bound book from a pile on the floor. Jacob nodded and stopped his search. “Here.” She said holding out the small journal to me. I hesitated but took the book undoing it’s leather string’s and pulling the cover back. “No one knows how to read this. We were thinking you can read this?”
On the very inside in nice fancy black ink it said: This journal belongs to Asher LeCreed Liamword. I turned the page and in the same writing it said: I hope this journal makes it to Psyche Nikala Liamword, you all know her as Alexandra Psyche Henderson. Turning to the next page was a simple paragraph: Save them and forget about why I have written this to you in a different name. In due time you will know everything you have to know. First you must get to the end of this. As they say practice makes perfect. We have met before only you don’t remember. Fret not we will meet again. It was foretold. For now focus on these people and forget about who and what you really are. It’s not as important as saving everyone. Take care of you self. I wish I could say goodbye but nothing about this is good.
“Who the hell wrote this?” I said confused. I reread the paragraph making sure I had read correctly. Nobody said anything to me. I wanted to ask if I had read it correctly but they couldn’t understand what it said, yet somehow I could. Once I was sick of rereading it I turned to the page after. I found it full with notes and pictures of weird symbols. It talked about things I never heard about and things I didn’t want to know about. As I read on I noticed there were chants and spells with specific instructions for each and charms to help protect and charms to help enhance your powers. Everything somehow felt familiar to me.

So this story is almost done. Theres a manditory second part to this because as you know an ending is only a new beginning. The second part is going to be much shorter. I've already started writing it so as soon asI'm done with this one i can start putting the other part up.
