SPECIAL CHAPTER 2
Naalimpungatan ako ng biglang kumalam ang tiyan ko. I look at the bedside table and saw that it's still 1:34 AM. Napahawak ako sa tiyan ko. I'm craving for something. I can't sleep without tasting some green apple.
Baby naman, bakit ngayon pa?
Napahilamos ako sa mukha dahil sa frustration. I want green apples! I looked beside me and saw Nate sleeping peacefully. Nakakakonsensya naman kung gigisingin ko pa siya ng dahil lang sa cravings ko. Napakagat labi ako. It's midnight yet here I am, craving for green apples and I dont know what to do. Pero kailangan kong kumain, for the sake of our baby. Yes, i need this. Dahan dahan akong bumaba ng kama at nag ayos ng sarili. Paulit ulit akong lumingon sa pwesto ni Nate just to reassure that he wont wake up because of me. I know he's tired from work and he needs more sleep for tomorrow.
Pagkatapos kong magayos ay dahan dahan kong pinihit ang seradura ng pinto. Maingat rin akong naglakad papunta sa hagdan upang hindi makagawa ng anumang ingay. Saka lamang ako nakahinga ng maluwag ng makarating ako sa main door ng bahay niya. Akmang pipihitin ko na ang seradura ng marinig ang pamilyar na boses mula sa likod.
"Where are you going?" Said by my husband. Yes, he's now my husband and we were married a month ago, pero civil wedding lang muna iyon.
His bedroom voice filled the whole room. Dahan dahan akong pumihit paharap sa kaniya. Napakagat labi ako ng masilayan siya. He just obviously got up from the bed, his hair was messy, and despite his brows almost touching each other, he still managed to look so effin' hot.
"I'm asking you vixen. Where are you going?" He coldly asked. He leaned by the staircase and stared intently at me. Pinagsalikop ko ng mahigpit ang mga kamay ko. Sa totoo lang, natatakot akong magkamali sa mga sasabihin ko.
"A-aahm...S-sa labas lang sana..." Napayuko ako. I felt my eyes getting misty. Shit. Ito ang isa sa mga ayaw ko, being emotional. Kahit na alam kong normal lamang iyon sa mga buntis, hindi ko pa rin maiwasan ang maiyak sa mga ganitong kababaw na bagay.
I heard footsteps, and i know that he's already walking towards me. Lalong humigpit ang pagkakasalikop ng aking mga kamay. Natatakot akong baka magalit siya sakin, at yun ang pinaka iiwasan kong mangyari.
Naramdaman ko na lamang na nasa harapan ko na siya at humalukipkip. He never moved his gaze away from me kaya yumuko na lamang muli ako at kinagat ng madiin ang labi.
"What are you trying to say, vixen? That you're gonna step out of this house without asking my permission?" He said coldly. Hindi ko na napigilan ang mga luhang umalpas sa aking mga mata pababa saking pisngi.
"I-i'm sorry...G-gusto ko lang naman bumili ng green apples. I...i'm craving for it. N-nakakahiya naman kasi k-kung gigisingin lang kita para don, kaya a-ako na lang ang pumunta tutal k-kaya ko naman." Naiiyak kong bulong, sapat na upang marinig niya ang nais kong iparating.
"And do you think I'm going to let you get out of this house in this time?"
Napaluha ako lalo. Ano bang masama sa ginagawa ko? I'm just doing this to satisfy my cravings. Urgh. This is soooo....frustrating! Naiiyak na ako lalo. I want green apples! Damn it! Napatda ako ng maramdamang may init na bumalot sa katawan. I just felt secured because of his hug. Unti unti ng humuhupa yung inis at luha ko dahil sa init ng yakap niya. I just want to stay like this with him forever.
"I'm sorry, vixen. If you're craving for something, I can give or buy it for you. I just dont want you to get out of this house at this point of time. Do you think I would allow you? I dont want you to risk your pregnancy just for that. You know I can do it for you, right?" He said gently and brushed my hair with his fingers. I felt like a tamed cat. Tamed by a gorgeous-hot-god.
"I...i'm sorry. But...but I really want to eat some green apples now, please?" Pagmamakaawa ko sakaniya. I swear, i wont sleep unless i got a taste of those luscious apples. I held both of his cheeks while pleading like a hungry baby. He smiled and gave me a peck on my lips, his hands still clasped at my back.
"Such a tease." He hissed and i chuckled. "Okay, i'll buy you green apples but you have to stay here and dont ever think of escaping. Are we good at that?"
I smiled widely and hugged him tight . Oh my god! I cant wait for those green apples to come. "Thanks love! Buy me moooore okay?" I said happily. He kissed me by the forehead and laughed while his lips still touching my forehead.
"Yes, my queen." He removed his hands around me and walked near the center table and got his car keys. He walked towards me and kissed my forehead again.
"Wait for me here." And he walked out and drove to buy me apples. Ah! I cant wait for the apples.
"Mia, huh?" Patuyang saad ni Nate habang sinisipat ako mula ulo hanggang paa. I'm wearing a simple yet elegant dress since we just got into a party.
I know he is mad at me. But to tell you honestly, i have nothing to do with all this. Si Ria ang nagsabing samahan ko muna si Nate sa pagdalong ito because she's out of the country for business. Napayuko ako. I dont know what to say. I dont even know what to explain. Kasalanan ko ito.
"I'm sorry..."
"Sorry. Yeah, you're sorry. But you know what? Your sorry doesn't change anything! You cant change the fact that you fooled me! Now, magkano ang binayaran sayo ni Ria para lang magpanggap kang siya? O baka naman pinlano mo lahat ng to?!" He said harshly and gripped both of my shoulders tight. Nasasaktan ako pero pinigilan ko ang sarili kong umiyak. Napakagat labi na lamang ako.
"I'm sorry..." I whispered again but to my shock, he punched the wall near me. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang galit niya. He was breathing hard and fast. Parang nagpipigil lang itong saktan ako.
"Fuck that sorry of yours! You and your lies! I won't forgive you for this!"
He said and left me there, breaking.
"Nate! Please dont!" I cried when he tried to tear off the shirt i was wearing.
"Please dont do this to me..." i pleaded as he began to worship my body .... fast and hard. "No..."
"You're nothing but Ria's pretender!"
"I'm sorry." And i cried as i fell asleep.
"Why are you here Mia?" He asked coldly.
"This is a family dinner Nate, that's why I'm here."
"You're not a family Mia. You know that. You're nothing but Ria's shadow...A pretender! So why are you here in the first place?"
"I m sorry i had make you see me that way. I forgot that you're the soon to be husband of my sister. You're the boss. I know. Dont worry, you wont be seeing me next time anymore. Maybe i'll be gone for good for a while. Para naman pagbalik ko, hindi na ako alangan sa inyo ng kapatid ko. Goodbye, Nathan."
"Mia! Thank God you're awake!" Nagulat ako ng bigla niya akong yakapin. Hindi ko namalayang nakatulog na pala ako sa couch sa kakahintay sa kaniya.
"Did you just had a bad dream? You're breathing hardly a while ago. Nag alala ako sayo." He said and kissed to top of my hair.
"I'm sorry I made you worry. Where're my apples?" I smiled widely when i remembered the apples. Kinuha niya naman agad ang paper bag sa may center table at dinala ito sa kusina. Sinundan ko siya roon.
"Anong gagawin mo diyan? I'm already hungry. Give it to me na. Please?"
"Just wait in there, vixen. I'll cut it for you." He patiently said and washed the apples and cut it into pieces. He looked like a father now. I can imagine him doing things like this for our children.
"Thank you." I said happily at sinunggaban ang mga nakahaing apples sa hapag pagkalagay niya.
He pulled a chair for him and just stared at me.
"Anything for my vixen." I smiled at him and gave him a peck on the lips.
"Just a peck? I want more, mommy!" Ungot niya na parang bata. And when he said more, alam mo na kung saan ang kahahantungan non. Pilyo talaga tong asawa ko minsan.
"Later." I teasingly told him and he just laughed.
Seeing him like this makes my day and night. The feeling of being loved by the person you love is the best feeling ever. Masaya ako dahil matapos ang lahat ng pinagdaanan namin, we still ended up together.
At ang mga masasakit na nangyari sa nakaraan, i wont just let it go that easy, those memories from the past made us stronger this time and made us realize our mistakes.
And those mistakes made us break but learned to hold on to each other. Maybe that's how love works. It might hurt you in any ways, but it will also give you the happiness and satisfaction you deserve.
