"Finally" I muttered to myself and spun around, heading towards the room with Kid.
Now that Haibara and Professor was gone, I could finally interrogate the thief in peace.
I silently laughed in delight, and once again forgetting to knock, I opened the door.
To my surprise, Kid was sitting on the bed awake, and he had an inexplicable smirk on his face as if he knew all of my actions and thoughts.
"I am well aware of how desperate you must be to check up on me, but for goodness sake can you at least attempt to knock?"
I reddened at Kid's sudden statement, but somehow managed to voice my thoughts.
"I have no concern whatsoever regarding you, but I am here to tell you that you'll be in jail next week so be prepared. I am not as sympathetic as Professor Agasa."
For some peculiar reason Kid frowned, then he suddenly clicked his fingers as if he thought of something brilliant.
"If I must be handed over to the police and I can't change your thoughts, why don't we play a little game while we wait for me to heal?"
"A game?" I asked in confusion.
"Yup, if I manage to make you like me within a week, then you can't hand me over to Nakamori.
But if you still hate me even after I heal, you can shove me in jail and I won't resist. Deal?"
"What makes you think that I'll agree?"
"Because I will definately make you like me next week."
"... sure. I swear that I'll still hate you and put an end to your puny theivery!"
"Lets see about that, Co-na-n-kun."
Annoyed, I left the room and slammed my fist into the wall.
"Lets see about that my ass. As if I will actually like you..." I muttered and shuffled towards the library to reread the 'Study in Scarlet'.
