"Or should I call you Mrs..." He stopped, his words trailing off.

She blinked back her surprise, her long lashes fluttering against her cheeks. "Mrs. Hugh."

He nodded, a small smile on his lips. "I'm sorry to intrude but I know you won't mind me coming by for...closure."

Dynasty looked up at him, stepping back to let him in. "Closure?" She questioned.

He nodded, his kind eyes dancing with a bit of humor. "Yes, my dear girl, closure. I was quite disappointed to learn that you were married before I even had the chance to court you."

She blushed, suddenly feeling bad for having wasted his time.

"I'm sorry Sir Benedict. I hate that I've wasted so much of your time."

He chuckled, waving her words off. "You needn't worry about that. But I'm merely here to congratulate you and your husband on your union."

She smiled softly up at him. "Thank you, that's very kind of you. I'm afraid Adam-," the door clicking open cutting her sentence short. Adam stepped into the door and froze as he saw the man.

Jealousy exploded within him and before he could stop himself he was moving toward the pair, his eyes glued on Dynasty with a possessive rage. He snatched her back against him, wrapping an arm around her waist.

Dynasty was taken by surprise at the swiftness of his actions but she did not protest. Choosing to enjoy the warmth of being close to him instead.

"What brings you for a visit?" Adam asked, though there was a hint of growing anger in his voice.

Sir Benedict seemed to sense the sudden tension in the air and his smile nearly faltered. "I've merely come to congratulate you on your nuptials. I wish you both a long and happy life." His voice was soft, sincere.

"Thank you." Adam said.

Benedict's smile broadened and he nodded slightly before heading toward the door, leaving them where they stood.

Dynasty felt Adam stiffen beside her and his arm tightened around her. "Why was he here?"

She looked up at him, confusion in her eyes. "He was here to congratulate us..."

Adam grit his teeth, was it possible for a man to be so envious?

He was married to her. In the word of the law she was his. But the image of her laughing and smiling in that man's arms had him fuming. And the fact that she had been alone with him just seconds ago had his blood boiling.

He sighed, the last thing he wanted was to cause an argument. The last thing he wanted was to fight with her. He shook away all his wayward thoughts and he wrapped his other arm around her, pulling her flush up against him. He nuzzled her cheek, kissing her softly as he did so.

She blushed, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. "Where did you go?"

He didn't answer her right away, instead choosing to kiss her like a starved man. He dominated her mouth, demanded her lips part with his tongue. She forget all rational thought as he kissed her and kissed her, taking her breath away. She melted in his arms, leaning into him, seeking the warmth he spread along her skin.

And when she could take no more she pulled away, inhaling a deep breath of much needed air. He smiled down at her, finding that he loved the seduction glint in her eyes and the flustered color on her cheeks. He ran a thumb across her lips, reveling in the plumpness of them. Kissing her was quickly becoming a favorite past time of his. Her lashes framed her pale blue orbs like clouds over the evening sky.

He cupped her cheek in his hand. "You're beautiful."

Her cheeks reddened and she stepped back, backing out of his arms. He was getting under her skin. Invading her system. Her wall was crumbling and it seemed, that she could do nothing to stop it.

"Where did you go?" She asked again, needing something to distract her from the inevitable fall of her heart.

He tilted his head at her, his golden eyes twinkling like a mischievous puppy. "It's none of your concern. You needn't worry."

She frowned. His answer suddenly had her angry. "We're married, what you do is my concern."

He shrugged, crossing his arms. "What I do is my own business."

And just like that the peace was gone. It pissed her off that he wouldn't confide in her. That he didn't respect her enough to tell him what he was obviously trying to hide. Her eyes twinkled with the kindling fire growing within her.

"You're completely insufferable!" She snapped. She couldn't quite help herself, her emotions were constantly hanging on a limb, the simplest of things set her off.

He held his tongue, not wanting to argue with her.

"You're selfish! And...and domineering-," he cut her off, he could take no more, his anger spiking.

"Enough!" He barked.

She nearly stepped back but froze, holding her ground. "I don't have to listen to you! Nor do I have to stay here!"

He raised a brow at that, standing straight, stiff. He narrowed his eyes. "Where do you plan on going?"

She raised her chin, her heart pounding. "Back t-," he cut her off, "Do you really think I'd just let you leave? You're my wife, princess. I'm not letting you go so easy."

She flushed crimson. The nerve of this man! She stomped her feet childishly, her temper escalating to new heights. "Oh damn you to the devil! I'm not an item on your shelve! If I want to leave then I will!"

He moved toward her. "Where will you go? Do you plan on running into the arms of Bernard?"

She was turning redder by the second. "His name is Benedict!"

"I don't care what his name is! If you think I'm letting you chase after him, you've obviously lost your mind!"

She was on the verge of screaming! "At least Benedict would treat me with respect!" She snapped.

His eyes were suddenly hooded with explosive rage. He was none other than the green eyed monster in Adam's form. He stomped toward her and all her anger melted away; she nearly turned an ran but instead chose to stay where she stood.

He was in front of her then, his eyes blazing green flames as he narrowed his eyes down on her. She swallowed nervously, he had never looked at her this way before. He gripped her chin in his hand and jerked her up forcefully. "I dare you to utter that man's name again."

She swallowed the lump that formed in her throat, something in her told her to take his warning seriously but the rebelliousness in her longed to defy him. "I thing Benedict is a much better man than you'll ever be!"

The fire in his eyes exploded and he growled like a wild animal at her words. The passion manifesting in the air around them was almost tangible. He grabbed a hand full of her hair and yanked her hair back before smashing his lips into her. The tension around them began to fizzle, electricity bursting in them.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, nearly falling as he began to push her back against the nearest wall. They kissed like their lives depended on it. They clung to each other like their would be no tomorrow.

He pulled away sucking in a deep breath of oxygen. Dynasty, lost in the thorough of passion, pulled him back. The force of her wanton need caused their mouths collide painfully but still they didn't stop the torrid tango between their lips. Adam tasted blood but didn't seem to care whose it was. Her words echoed in his head, ringing in his ears. It pissed him off that his wife, his woman...the woman he loved was uttering another man's name with such abandon.

He paused then, his eyes widening at his sudden revelation. He was in love with her. She had managed to crawl underneath his skin and now she was all he thought about. He had never been prone to such volatile jealousy until now. If she were any other woman he wouldn't care that she talked to other men. It would hurt to see her laugh or smile at another. Dear, god...it hurt to know that she thought Benedict so much more worthy of her love than him.

It hurt to know that she would never lavish her smile on him.

Or her laughter.

He stepped back, letting her go. He ran busy fingers through his hair, his eyes glued on her.

It hurt to know that she would never give her heart to him.

His heart was pounding in his ears, clouding his judgment. "Leave." He said before he could think.

Her eyes widened. "What?" She whispered in shock.

He shook his head. "Leave. Get out, this never would have worked. I shouldn't have married you."

Her heart fell into the pit of her stomach. Her breath caught and she leaned against the wall, the world around her spun. "You...don't mean...that." She whispered.

"I'll help you pa-," she fell forward before he could complete his sentence, darkness clouding her vision as she hit the floor beneath her feet.

"Dynasty!"
