JESS POV
After an exhausting day in the freezing cold on the busy streets of London, the last thing I wanted to do was open that front door. I just wanted to snuggle up in bed with a hot chocolate and go to sleep. But the urgency of the banging made me jump out of bed and run to the front door. Liam was still in the living room, and I rolled my eyes.
"You couldn't have got the door?" Sarcasm dripped in my voice.
Liam smirked, shaking his head. "Nope."
As soon as I opened the door, I wish that nobody had opened it. Jason stood there, messing with the curls on his head, and I sighed.
"Jason she's not here."
"Where the fuck is she, dammit!?" Jason cursed under his breath and I felt Liam's presence at my side.
"Problem, mate?" Liam challenged, and I folded my arms. Jason looked around.
"No, I just haven't seen my girlfriend in over a week."
"Oh, has she not been replying to your texts or calls? I wonder why." Liam was much better at confrontation than me, and I was glad he was here.
"Look, I'll pay her back for the phone, here." He patted his pockets and pulled out a few notes. "Just get her to talk to me. I'm sorry for the other week."
"She's not here."
"Where is she?" he looked surprised.
"With her friends."
Jason shook his head. "I know her friends. She's not with them."
"Other friends. New friends." I interrupted him, and he frowned.
"She never mentioned any new friends of hers...what, has she dropped us now she has new friends?"
"Look- Jack-"
"-its Jason-"
"-nobody cares. Anyway. Lia is way too good for you, and if you know what's good for you you'll leave her alone, got it?"
"I've been dating her for a fucking year, Liam. I want to know where she is!"
"It's a shame I don't care about what you want. Now go home and don't bother coming back." Liam slammed the door in his face and I grinned up at him, pecking him on the cheek.
"Thanks, brother."
"No problem, gotta look after my sisters." he winked, going back to what he was doing. I peeked through the window to see if Jason was still there, but he had gone.
LIA POV
"Can we order pizza or something? I'm too lazy to cook." I lounged on the sofa, fiddling with my hair.
"Why don't we go out for a meal? We can invite Jess." Phil suggested, and I shrugged. I had decided to dress up, seeing as I hadn't left the apartment since I got here. Dan got frustrated and knocked on the door for the 4th time in an hour.
"Lia! Come on, I need to pee!"
"Hold on!" I yelled, giggling, then reached for the lock on the bathroom, opening the door. Dan stood there, a shocked expression on his face.
"You look...pretty."
"You need to pee, remember?"
He smirked awkwardly and pushed me out of the bathroom and shut the door behind him. I giggled, Dan is such an awkward person it's funny. I had a smirk on my face as I left Dan's room and Phil walked out of the other bathroom with a towel around his hips and one over his shoulders.
"I knew you'd be the first one to give in!" Phil chuckled, then a smirk formed on his lips. I narrowed my eyes.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
Phil shrugged. "No reason." He headed for his room and I rolled my eyes. Boys.
An hour later when the guys were ready we met Jess at the ground floor of the building. She pulled me into a hug and smiled.
"You dressed up." she commented, glancing at the boys behind me before greeting them too.
"So where are we going?" Phil asked us all, and Dan grinned.
"Chinese!"
So we went out for Chinese, and had a blast. I could tell that Phil had a crush on my sister because of the way he acted around her, I don't understand how he thought he was being subtle about it. We walked in pairs when we headed back to the apartment, Phil and Jess at the front and me and Dan trailing behind, lost in our own conversation. Suddenly I heard my name being called and we all turned around behind me, where I saw Jason jogging towards me, with Emily and a few others behind him walking. Jess swore under her breath, walking past me and heading for Jason, but he jogged right past her.
"Jason leave her alone." Jess chastised, and I frowned. Yes, I hadn't spoken to him in at least a week, but he broke my phone, so I could hardly talk to him. Plus I was still pissed off with him after the way he treated me. Dan pushed me behind him protectively, and Jason stopped when he reached us.
"Babe, where have you been? I've been trying to call you for days."
"If you hadn't noticed, I don't own a phone anymore. Thanks."
"I'm sorry- and I called your house phone, then stopped by your house at least 5 times to try get a hold of you. Are you avoiding me or something? Seeing someone else?"
I raised an eyebrow at my sister, who was walking back up to Phil. "Jess?" I shook my head, looking back to my boyfriend. "Jase, I think it's best if we call things a day now, don't you?"
Jason's eyes narrowed. "What? So its true, then? You find some new people and drop us like last weeks news? You bitch!" Before anyone could have stopped him, he swung and arm out, hitting me across the face. I gasped in pain as my face throbbed. I slammed my eyes shut as I heard the commotion between Jason and Dan and Phil, stopping him from attacking me again. I heard yelling and I opened my eyes to see my friends now running over, and I pulled on Dan's arm.
"Dan, please. We need to go." I felt Jess pulling hard on my shoulders, dragging me back,
"Jason if you don't back the fuck off right now, for the love of God! I will tell her." Jess yelled at the top of her voice at him. Jason froze as he struggled against Dan's grip. I looked up.
"Tell me what?"
"Nothing." Jason shoved himself away from Dan and swaggered off back to his friends. Immediately my attention went to Dan, who must have been hit in the face, as his cheekbone began to swell. I ignored the dull ache on my own face. Dan pushed me off him, then pulled on my hand.
"Let's go. Lia- come on!" I got practically dragged away and by the time we got back to the apartment I was confused and gasping for air.
"What the hell happened back there?" I yelled at the three people standing in front of me. I pointed at Jess. "What have you been telling him?"
Jess sighed. "I told him to stay away from you."
"Unbelievable." I shook my head and stormed off to Dans room, pulling a chair underneath the doorhandle to stop anyone coming in, then jumped into Dan's bed. Suddenly I had that nagging feeling that I had to sort it and decided to quietly open the window in Dan's room and climb down the fire escape. I left the window slightly ajar so I could sneak back in, but I had to talk to Jason.
DAN POV.
Jess sighed as the door to my bedroom shut and turned back to us. "Maybe we should just let her blow off some steam."
I nodded. "Well...least I can get some editing done..oh wait, that was in my room. Oh well."
Phil laughed, then we all sat on the sofa to watch a film. About an hour into the film, a began to feel a bit chilly, and frowned at Phil.
"Phil! Did you turn the heating off?"
Phil looked at me, confused. "No..?"
I looked around. "Oh really? Cause I feel a draft coming from somewhere." I began walking around the apartment and noticed it was colder at the door to my room. "Shit. Phil!" I tried opening my door and it wouldn't budge, and I swore again.
We eventually managed to get in, partly breaking my door in the process, and Lia was not there- the window partly open too.
Guess we should have kept a better eye on her.
