The large hockey players pull out onto the side waiting for the half time buzzer to go off. Shawn looks over to me and smiles.
"You came?" He mouthed.
"For the school" i shrugged trying to play cool.
He chuckled shaking his head. Sweat dripping down his face as it hit his legs. I blushed a little focusing back onto the empty ice. Shawn and I have been flirting for a while but nothing serious has happened. He's too focused on the season right now. The buzzer went off making me jump a little. The boys skated back on the ice clapping there hands together. They skate across the floor hitting the puck back and forth. Shawn is really good. He's an even better singer. He's the best in class. I sighed at his perfectness. I don't know why he chose me out of all the girls here. A lot of them are way prettier then me. I looked over to my side finding Lauren Arendese, shawns crush eyeballing him. Shawns had a crush on her for the longest time. I can feel it my bones that she likes him back too. I mean Shawn likes me too but not as much as Lauren, I don't think. She's perfect and I'm just blah. I'm not his first choice I know that. I looked at the score board and see that were tied. The announcer shouted into the microphone saying Shawn has the penalty shot. If he makes it in, we win. He skates to the middle panting heavily. I hold my hands together standing up to see. He shoots it in and makes it!
"Goal!" The announcer yelled.
the crowd goes wild and I yell for Shawn. The guys lift him on their shoulders carrying him back to the side. Shawn looks at me and smiles. I nodded putting my thumbs up. They drop him off as he skates back over to me. He takes off his helmet revealing his beautiful perfect face.
"nice job Mendes" I smirked.
"Shawn!" I heard a voice behind me.
I see Lauren skipping over to meet him and smiles cheekily.
"Hey y/n" she smiles.
"Hi Lauren" I replied trying to not burst into to tears.
"Hey Lauren can you give me one second" Shawn asks her lifting a finger.
I began to walk away feeling burning in my chest. Of course he would pick her, she's amazing. She smiles and nods. He skates back over to me trying to catch up as I keep walking.
"Y/n, come out on the ice please" he says holding out his hand.
I sighed and walked out on the ice trying to keep balance.
"Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks smiling like a big idiot.
The crowd awes and I look at him confused.
"What about Lauren?" I asked shaking my head.
"I love you y/n" he replies.
I smiled and played with his gloves.
"So?" He asked raising my chin.
"YES!" I yelled jumping into his arms.
He pressed his lips on mine passionately trying to keep both of us up. He carried me bridal style skating back over to where I could stand. He drops me off and hugged me tightly.
"I love you y/n" he said in my ear.
"I love you more Shawn"
