P.O.V. Nao
I smiled as me and my big brother walked into my favorite restaurant. We were celebrating that the Valentines dance was finally ready.
I of course was in charge of decorations as well as food and drinks. I had just finished today and the dance was tomorrow. I took a seat close to the kitchen.
This was one of those restaurants where you could see the the chef's prepare the food in front of you. I looked around and a chef came up to me. "Are you ready to order?" He asked looking at me.
"No not yet." I said looking at him. When I said this Kazuki sat beside me.
"You're really going to wait for him to get here again?" Kazuki asked looking at me.
"And what's wrong if I am? It's not like waiting is going to hurt anything." I said looking at him. However I then sighed and put my head down. "It wouldn't do me any good to wait. He hasn't been here for the past eleven days." I said I knew [Name] was a good cook. I just never thought he'd end up quiting.
I then heard the back door open. When I looked to see who it was I smiled because I saw [Name] enter.
P.O.V. [Name]
I walked into the back of the restaurant. The first thing I did was put on my apron. Then I washed my hands and used hand sanitizer. I then walked to the front and saw Tomori.
I smiled she was regular here and her company was more than appreciated. I also saw that her brother was here. "Hello you two are you ready to order?" I asked looking at them.
"Yes I'll have the Shrimp." Kazuki said looking at me. I smiled and then turned to Nao. "I'll have what I always have." She said smiling.
I smiled and started on their orders. "So [Name] where have you been I haven't seen you for almost two weeks?" She Nao asked looking at me.
"Oh that's well you see I wanted to bring this store more publicity so I got to thinking and decided to take the CMC Exam so I could become a CMC." I said looking at them.
Nao's eyes lit up slightly and she leaned forward. "And?" She asked looking at me.
"I passed." I said looking at her. She let out an excited squeal and looked at her brother.
"Kazuki isn't that amazing [Name] is now CMC." She said looking at him.
He looked confused and spoke. "Uh yes maybe. . . I don't know what a CMC is." He said I'm not surprised a lot of people don't know what a CMC is.
"Here I'll explain." I said putting their food on two plates. "CMC mean Certified Master Chef. It's the highest rank of cooking someone can achieve." I said looking at him.
"Woah that's pretty impressive." He said looking at me.
"Thanks. Although the stuff I had to do killed me. I had to cook for eight days straight." I said looking at him.
"Wow really well congrats on passing." He said looking at me.
Nao then smiled at me however she looked to her brother and frowned slightly. "Kazuki he's not just a CMC now he's also the youngest person to ever become a CMC. The last person was twenty-six before he took the test." She said looking at him.
"Woah once again I'm impressed." He said looking at me although to be honest he didn't sound to impressed. I had then noticed that Nao wasn't eating her food like she usually would.
Kazuki on the other hand was almost completely done with his food to be honest this had depressed me just a little bit. Nao then looked at me a smile on her face.
"I got the dance and everything prepared for tomorrow." She said looking at me.
"Really? That's great! Man I wish I could do what you do Nao." I said looking at her.
She seemed a little taken back by this and smiled. "Thanks I mean it's no where near the level it takes to be a CMC but it's still nice to know that you care." She said looking at me.
"You're right it's not CMC level but it certainly is Manager level miteral." I said looking at her.
"What do you mean?" She asked looking at me a small tint of pink on her face.
"Well you were up so long trying to make the place look good, make sure the food was ready, probably went all over the place to find a DC, and not to to mention that you probably did most of this on a budget. That's Manager level if I've ever heard of it." I said looking at her.
She then smiled at me. She then turned to her brother. I turned around for a second and heard a solid thud. I paid this no mind as I continued to clean the mess I had made cooking.
When I was done I turned back around and saw that only Nao was there. She was looking at me with a smile on her face. "Hey [Name] you know I don't have anyone to go to the dance with." She said looking at me.
Man that's got to suck she put more effort than anyone into it and she can't go because she doesn't have anyone to go with. "That's a bummer." I said looking at her.
She frowned slightly as she looked at me before a smile once again overtook her face. "You know we are aloud to bring people that don't go to my school to this dance right?" She asked looking at me.
I blushed as she said this I understood where she was going with this and to be honest it wasn't like it was a bad thing. I smiled and turned to her. "So I assume you got someone in mind then." I said in a teasing voice.
This brought an even bigger smile to get face as she looked at me. "Yeah I do. He has [H/C] hair and really nice [E/C] eyes. He also works at this restaurant that I go to everyday." She said looking at me.
I put on an obviously fake smile and looked at her. "Sounds like this guy's not only trying to steal my girl but my life as well." I said winking at her.
She blushed and looked away. "Yeah so you want to go to the dance with me?" She asked her face almost as red as a tomato.
"Sure I'd love to go with you." I said looking at her. She smiled and started to eat her food. When she was done she looked at me and smiled.
"Pick me up at seven tomorrow. The dance doesn't start until eight oh and make sure you were some tennis shoes or something. We're having the dance in the gym and we still need to follow school rules. Seeing as how I'm on the school consil it wouldn't look good if I didn't follow them." She said smiling at me.
I nodded and she walked over to her brother a smile on her face.
Timeskip
I nocked on the door in front of me. I looked at the flower I had gotten for Nao. A white rose, it was a symbol of not only otter perfection but also purity.
Don't get me wrong she's not perfect but then again who is? I then saw the door open and she came out wearing a dark blue dress. Seeing her like this brought a small blush to my face.
She smiled and walked down in front of me. "So how do I look?" She asked looking at me.
"Y-you look amazing." I said looking at her. I then remembered the gift I had gotten for her. "Here this is for you." I said looking at her.
She smiled and looked at me. She then took it and walked inside. "Give me a mintue while I put it on." She said looking at me.
When she walked into the house her brother Kazuki came up to me and smiled. "Do us all a favor and try not to get her pregnant." When he said this I blushed a deep shade of red and looked away.
Thankfully Nao returned at that time and looked at me. "Alright let's go." She said looking at me. As we were walking down the street she locked arms with me and got much closer to me.
I felt my face heat up as she did. I was mentally scalding myself for not being able to come up with anything to talk to her about. "So how's your school work?" I asked looking at her.
"It's good nothing I can really complain about. Well except the lunch." She said looking at me.
Now this of course got me curious. "What's wrong with your lunch?" I asked looking at her.
"Well my brother got fired from his most recent job the other day. Which means he's no longer buying me my lunch he's making it." She said looking at me. I understood where she was coming from.
I mean Kazuki wasn't a bad cook or anything it's just that Nao is kind of a picky eater. "I could make you lunch." I offered her without thinking.
"What no you already cook enough for others." She said a little nervous.
"No it's fine really. I would love to cook for you." She said looking at me. She smiled and once again got closer to me.
"Thanks," she said as we finally made it to her school. When we walked i I saw a few girls walk up to me and Nao.
"Nao I'm so glad you could make it." One of them said looking at her.
"Yeah I mean it's good that you're here. I would want you to miss out on an event you practically planned out." Another said looking at her.
However the third one had something unrelated to talk about. "So Nao, are you going to introduce us to your friend?" She asked looking right at me.
"Um Y-yeah sure. Everyone this is [Name] and h-he's my boyfriend." She said looking at them. I was shocked that she called me her boyfriend but decided not to show it. I mean being called her boyfriend is better than being called her date right.
"Really Nao I didn't know you had a boyfriend." One of her friends once again said looking at her. However she then got a devilish smirk across her face and looked at me and her.
She then pulled out her phone and pointed it towards us. "Mind if I take a picture of the two of you?" She said looking at us.
"I don't see anything wrong with it." She said grabbing my hand and getting close to me. I don't really like being in pictures but if it's for Nao I guess it's okay.
"Alright now how about a make out pic?" She asked looking at Nao.
"I'm okay with it." I said looking at her. She blushed a little and nodded. I leaned down to the slightly shorter female and our lips met in a gentle kiss.
I then heard several snaps. I was under the impression that she wanted one picture not thirty. However as long as I got to keep kissing Nao it wasn't a big deal.
When we separated her friend looked at her and smiled. "Oh we should tell the principal." She said walking off. Nao then looked at me a small blush painting her otherwise mad face.
"I just want you to know if you were anyone else I wouldn't have done." She said looking at me. I got a little depressed and felt her lips on mine again.
"I usually don't kiss on or before the first date. So I guess you're the one and only exception to this rule." She said looking at me. She looked at me and smiled.
"I'll let you be the only person outside of work I cook for." I said looking at her.
