-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The smell of burning filled Amelia nostrils as soon as she stepped outside. The fumes entered her lungs, knocking her sick. The dark, night sky was lit with a blazing orange colour. She could feel the heat from where she stood, a couple of feet away, which made her hairs stand on end. The house that once stood so tall and grand was now collapsing in front of her eyes, giving into the flames that danced upon it. She could hear grinding, like on sinking ships, before a part of the house would concave and fall to the ground with a loud crash, sending up sparks of fire that would fly away into the night sky.

The beautiful house she grew up in was ablaze.

Amelia's happiness soon vanished and was replaced by salty tears that rolled slowly down her cheeks. Another loud creek echoed into Amelia's ears, followed by half of the house to fall with a almighty THUD and a scream. She knew exactly who's scream it was, although she forced herself to think other wise but no matter what she thought it was still who she didn't want it to be. It was Maggie's scream. Before Amelia could processes what had just happened, her feet took control. She was running towards the house as fast as she could. she had to. she had to help her. Amelia focused on the house, ignoring the tears that flew out of her eyes as she ran, she ignored the yells that came from behind her, she blocked out her surrounding. She was running as fast as she could towards the burning house. completely oblivious to the fact she didn't know what to do when she reached the ruined house but one thing for sure she had to help Maggie.

She was half way to the house before she felt strong arms wrap around her waist in attempt to take her back to the safety of the TARDIS. "NO! GET OFF ME! I HAVE TO HELP HER!" She yelled. She wouldn't go down without a fight, she was kicking and screaming in attempt to escape the arms that pulled her back. she had to save her. Maggie was the one person who was there when no-one else was. She was piratically her mother.

The strong arms had succeeded in their task. Rory passed his wreak less grandchild over to his wife. Amy grabbed Amelia and held her close to her chest, holding her close. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to come after all, Amy thought to herself. Amy could her the quiet whimpers coming from Amelia as the tears drowned her, she looked up to her husband and gave him an apologetic smile.

The Doctor barged through the TARDIS's doors, holding two blue fire extinguishers, covered in Gallifreyan writing carved into the sides. He shoved one in Rory's hand before they both ran to the house to try and put out the monstrous fire.

Amy spent the next half hour cradling a frightened child next to the TARDIS, rubbing her back and telling her everything was going to be just fine, although she wasn't sure weather everything would be but she would be there for Amelia, whatever happens. Rory came back.

"Most of the fire's out..." He told Amy and Amelia lifted her head out of Amy's leather jacket, her face tear stained. "The Doctor said to wait in the TARDIS while he looks for Maggie." Rory continued.

"Come on then, let's get you inside." Amy said softly while rubbing Amelia back.

"No." Amelia answered back stubbornly "I want to look. I want to help find her!"

"The Doctor told me not to let you out of my sight" Rory told Amelia.

"Please." She begged.

"I can't I'm sorry. I promised the Doctor " Sighed Rory. "Come on, let's get inside." Rory turned his back to walk into the TARDIS and Amelia took this as an opportunity to make a run for it, and just like that she was gone.

Rory turned around and finally noticed Amelia was gone and went to run after her but he was forcefully pulled back by Amy. "Amy, what are you do..."

"She needs to do this."

Rory sighed before engulfing his wife in a hug.

-----000OOOooo------------

There was hardly any remains of the house, some parts still stood but it looked as if the faintest touch would send them tumbling down. Some of the fire was still active, clinging on to remaining wood structures or whatever it could find so it's light wouldn't go out. The gigantic house was three floors high but now it was just dust and ash, even the door was no more. Only half the house stood, small wood structures and half of the white door frame were still intact, slightly. As she entered the half white door frame which lead to rooms filled with burnt wood and ash, she gasped. The house she had once lived in was a wreak.

She walked in what used to be the living room. She could remember the sight, smell and taste of the room. Never once had she thought she would miss it so much. Before any of this happened the living room was plastered with white and peach flowered wall paper, the white carpet that covered the floor, the black leather couches, the old, yet beautiful fireplace, the posh lighting and also the TV. She hardly watched TV, apart from the odd occasion, she much preferred a good, old book. She made her way to the fireplace which was possible the only thing in the room which was still intact.

She spotted a photograph on top of the mantelpiece. Apart from the picture in the frame being slightly burnt, it was pretty much intact. Amelia reached out to pick up the picture in the small metal frame, but as soon as she picked it up she through it to the ground with a yelp of shock. She looked at her hand, trying hard not to scream in pain and biting down on her lip. She had burnt her hand on the hot metal.

This time she used the ends of  her top to pick up the picture, a small smile escaped her lips. It was one of her favourite pictures of her and Maggie, the strange thing was that it was in her room, so how did it get here.

Amelia heard a quiet crash from another room. Making away out of what was the living room, clinging on to the picture, she walked to towards where the sound had come from. She entered another room which was this time hers. Nothing was there. Before she made her way out she noticed some red writing on one of the walls that was surprisingly still intact.

The lost child of Gallifrey shall be taken and lost once more, The writing on the wall read.

Amelia was to filled up with too many mixed emotions for the writing to bother her at first. she could worry about it later. She exited in a search for Maggie. She spotted the Doctor kneeling down in front of something and stuffing some white paper into his pocket. "I will i promise" He said.

Amelia ventured further into the burnt down room and when the Doctor finally noticed her, he Stepped away. Guilt and sorrow flooded her. Large pieces of burnt wood structures had collapsed onto the ground, on top of someone. On top of Maggie. "Oh God No, please no." Amelia cried as she knelt next to the dying body. She felt a hand grab hold of hers.

Maggie weakly smiled. "Hey...You" She said, her voice hoarse.

"How did you know it was me?" Amelia asked. The last time Maggie had saw her she was literally a different person. She had black hair and was short, now she had long ginger hair and was quite tall.

"She said...Ah!...your...mum...frizzy hair." Maggie gasped, face full of pain. She had been crushed by the large wood structures that piled on top of her.

"River?"

"Yeah...Ahh! she ...told me ....you...you ...would look...different." She gasped again.

"Maggie... i'm so..." Amelia sobbed.

"Shhh...It's okay...ah...It not you...f-fault...okay? She told..me that t-this...would happen. Just...didn't...think it would...ah!...hurt so...much." Maggie said, her voice getting weaker and weaker. "Just know...that i love..you..yeah?" She forced a smile.

Maggie began to slowly close her eyes. The grip on Amelia hand weakened, her breathing had stopped along with her heart. She was gone.

"I love you too, d-don't go. Please." Amelia begged, but it was to late. Tears trickled down Ameila's face, this all felt like it was her fault.

-------0000OOOooo-----

The next thing Amelia knew she was outside with the Doctor's arms wrapped around her shoulders. They was heading back towards the TARDIS, they could both see Amy and Rory who were still stood outside in the cold.

Suddenly, they all heard a yell.

"NO! WAIT...PLEASE."

Everybody turned around and saw a girl who must have been in at least her twenties.  She had long blond hair that was tangled in knots. Her face was a very pale shade, her cheeks were tear stained, her forehead was dripping with sweat and  covered in small cuts and black smudges. She looked ill. Her ice-blue eyes were filled with fear and knowledge, which was quite a wired combination. She looked quite hurt and like she had been running. She limped up to the Doctor and Amelia, who had been joined by Rory and Amy. "You need to help me." She puffed, out of breath and sweating

Amelia notice her right hand was slightly swollen. It was a mixture of blood and puss. She had been burnt. "O'my gosh! Are you okay?" Amelia went to touch the girl, trying to help her but she forcfully pulled away as if Amelia was contagious.

"NO! You can't touch me! you must Not touch me!" the girl yelled, pulling herself away.

"But you'r hurt" Amy pearked up, looking confused.

"That's not the point!" She said, was breathing heavily, like she was about to die.

"I need you to help me...just to drop me off somewhere." She panted, her piercing blue eyes fixed on the Doctor's green ones. "Please"

"Who are you?" The Doctor asked. He felt as if he trusted the girl in some weird way but he had to be cautious, she could be anybody.

"It doesn't matter. If you don't help me, i'll die!" She cried. "Please"

The Doctor closed his eyes and clenched his jaw. He didn't know what to do.

He heard a weak sigh. "Just...trust me, okay? You just need to drop me off somewhere were i need to got and then i'll be out of your life... forever. You will never see me again." The girl begged, still panting. Hoping that he believed her lie. "please, Doctor." He looked at her and studied her. He could see in her eyes that she knew him, that she trusted him. "PLEASE!" she cried.

The Doctor nodded slightly. He hoped that this was the right thing to do.

She weakly smiled before lunging at him. she grabbed his wrist and started to run with a limp, still clinging on to him, towards the TARDIS. She pushed him in before slamming the door on the other three's faces.

The Doctor looked confused. "What are you doing?" he asked.

He could hear the others banging on the door, begging them to let them in.

"Look, she can't come." She sighed, wiping the blood mixed with sweat from her forehead with her good hand.

"why not?"

"Spoilers" That one word made his body tense up. she was someone from his future and he had a pretty good idea who.

"13 Bannerman Road, present day, earth." She said, suddenly.

"Sorry?" The Doctor asked, confused.

"Where i need to go" she panted. She was most defiantly in a rush.

"OH, okay" he replied, before typing in the co-ordinates. why did that place sound so familiar?

As soon as they had landed, the girl bolted through the door without another word said.

The Doctor stood face twisted with confusion but he suddenly remembered something.

He pulled out the crumpled piece of paper from his pocket. He had something to do this before he picked the other's up...he had promised.
