The Nighttime

Dusk, arriving,

Takes the light

And hides it all away

Before the precious moon appears

And closes up the day.

Different creepers

Rise above

The cloaks they all once wore,

Commencing their nighttime affairs,

Dispersing to explore.

Darkness here now

Brings about

A ghastly, ghoulish feel

With creeping sounds found all around

That make your senses reel.

The moonlight shines

With beauty

As the wild wind blows

While creatures of the night prowl

In search of their old foes.

Midnight comes and

Quickly leaves;

Nighttime is almost thru,

Soon will be the cursed hour when

The moon must say adieu.

Now the sky bleeds

With sunlight;

The ending time is here,

Now all the creatures of the night

Will have to disappear.

Moon is wailing

As the sun

Eliminates her reign,

But she knows that she will return

And bring darkness again.
