×× Skylar ××
Skylar sat in her room blow drying her hair after a long hot shower.
The evening was quite peaceful with Angela at work. Skylar had lots of time to herself and that made her happy. She didn't have to answer any questions about the Mustang or why she'd come home early from work.
She'd cooked some dinner for herself, ate it while doing a bit of school work then she took a well deserved shower and sorted her hair out.
As she combed her thick hair out, she hummed along mindlessly to the music that was playing on the radio.
Skylar just wanted to take an early night. She was still upset by Justin taking everything lightly. Of course, it was easy for him to say that they'd sort something out. He didn't understand how being broke felt. Until she got another job, Skylar would have to deal with letting go of some of her luxuries. She wished so hard that she'd get accepted for that scholarship she applied for, for fashion journalism in London. She'd applied again and again for it because she wanted it so bad. Maybe it would be refreshing to be away and start anew. Skylar liked independence but the idea of leaving Justin behind...
She was slightly mad at him though.
She put on an oversized Superman t-shirt and a pair of cotton shorts underneath then she put her hair up into two French braids. She turned off her radio and lights then climbed into bed. Just as she was about to get some sleep, she heard a tapping sound on her window.
Skylar groaned.
Again, the tapping.
She sat up and glared at her window then got out of bed to walk towards it. She knew exactly who was tapping on her window.
She opened it and found Justin smiling at her.
He held up a red rose.
"Hey." He said.
Skylar looked at him and the rose, torn between grinning like an idiot and closing the window.
"Hey." She said.
"I got you a rose. Stole it from your neighbour's garden." Justin smiled.
Skylar bit her lip to stop herself smiling too.
"How did you get past the dog?" She asked.
"You mean the chihuahua?"
A smile spread across Skylar's face and she opened the window a little more.
"Come inside. It's breezy out there." She said.
Justin handed her the rose then climbed into her room.
"Thanks for the rose." Skylar smelled it and closed her eyes momentarily as the sweet scent of the flower filled her nostrils.
"It's to say I'm sorry for being insensitive earlier on."
"It's okay. I didn't expect you to understand."
"But I want to help."
"It'll be fine, Justin. I'll look for another job." Skylar closed her window and put the rose on her desk.
"Is your mom home?"
Skylar shook her head and went to turn a lamp on.
"She's working tonight. I'm home alone." She smiled and sat on her bed.
"I can't believe you're not scared or anything." Justin sat beside her.
"I have enough weapons in here to defend myself."
"You were going to scratch me with scissors the last time I came through your window." He teased.
Skylar smiled and lightly hit Justin on his thigh.
"Shut up." She said.
"You should keep that pepper spray close by." He nudged her lightly.
Skylar shook her head and chuckled.
"I'm really sorry about all the stuff that's happened over the last couple of days with Simone." Justin said.
"It's not your fault, Justin."
"It is, technically. She knows you because I went to Elizabeth's party with you."
"Yeah but you didn't know she'd get me fired."
"I still feel bad."
"Don't."
"What did your mom have to say?"
"She doesn't know yet." Skylar managed a smile. "I'll tell her tomorrow or whatever."
Justin nodded.
"You sure you don't want me to talk to Simone?" He asked.
"Positive. Let it go. She and I are bound to cross paths soon. I'll handle it."
Justin looked at Skylar.
"What?" She asked.
"Don't do anything stupid, Sky."
"It won't be 'stupid' when I do it."
"Skylar."
"What?"
"No."
"I thought you liked sassy Skylar." She tried to hide her grin.
"I do but I don't want to do jail visits."
Skylar giggled.
"I'll whoop her so bad, she'll end up with amnesia. I'm not going to jail, baby."
Justin was lost for words and that made Skylar laugh.
"Relax. I won't beat her up too hard." She said.
"Don't beat her up at all."
"One slap?"
"Sky..."
"What? She broke your heart, was rude to me at the party and got me fired."
Justin bit his lip.
"Okay. Just one slap." He smiled.
Skylar smiled too.
"Are you staying the night?" She asked.
"Do you want me to?"
Skylar nodded.
"I like laying in your arms." She blushed.
"I like having you in my arms." Justin smiled.
"I'm gonna get to see you shirtless again." Skylar whispered.
"And my bird tattoo." Justin smirked.
Skylar blushed.
"You hungry?" She changed the topic.
"Did you cook?"
"Yes."
"Then yes, I'm hungry."
Skylar smiled and got up.
"Make yourself at home then. I'll be right back." She said.
Justin smiled and watched as Skylar left the room.
He checked her out from head to toe: her hair that was out of her face and brought out her beautiful facial features, her long legs that she hid so well most times, her booty...
While Skylar dished up some food for Justin, he got comfortable by taking his shirt off and playing a bit of music from Skylar's iPod.
She walked into her room with a tray of food and a tall glass of juice for Justin and she couldn't help but smile to herself when she remembered the last time she served him some food in her bedroom.
"What are you smiling about?" Justin asked.
Skylar looked at her boyfriend who was sitting on her bed, shirtless, with his back against her headboard.
She could never get enough of looking at that body and dirty thoughts immediately clouded her mind. She thought about what his strong hands could do to her and how his body could move... let's not forget his soft lips.
"Sky?" Justin said, smiling.
He knew very well what the sight of his shirtless body did to his girlfriend. It only seemed fair to him to tempt her back since she was all legs and booty.
"Huh?" She snapped out of her daze.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes. Uhm..." she was blushing hard. "I was just thinking about the time you first came here through my window and I served you food."
"When I got my butt whooped." Justin smiled.
"You still looked hot. Like a bad boy." Skylar smiled too and sat on the bed.
"You think?"
"Yeah. You should get your ass beat more often." She teased.
Justin laughed lightly.
"It wasn't a pleasant experience, baby girl."
"I know. But I ended up taking care of you."
"That was the best part."
Skylar smiled.
"Eat up." She said.
"Thank you."
Skylar climbed into bed while Justin ate and she laid on her side to watch him.
She just loved the way his jaw moved when he chewed. It almost made her imagine how good he'd look if he was angry.
An angry Justin...
"You zone out a lot." Justin said.
Skylar hadn't noticed Justin looking at her.
She was quick to close her mouth.
Justin smiled.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing." Skylar quickly said.
"You were watching me eat and you had your mouth open."
"So? Maybe I realised that I should've dished up for myself too because that food smells so good."
"Uh-huh?" Justin was amused.
"Just finish up, Justin. I'd like to sleep." Skylar rolled onto her back and crossed her arms.
He simply smiled and went back to eating.
When he was done, he put the tray on the nightstand, turned off the lamp and got under the covers to spoon Skylar.
Obviously he hadn't realised that he'd gotten a bit excited himself but Skylar felt it and it made her blush.
She decided to ignore it instead of teasing him about it. Now wasn't a good time to mention it. They'd probably end up having sex and she didn't feel ready for that.
Just being in his arms was enough. She felt good. She felt loved. She felt whole. She wished she could stay in his arms for a long, long time.
