Two years later, Maldives.

Lina Davis's POV:

The formal reception is held beneath a white tent decorated with vintage chandeliers, candles, and string lights. Purple flower centerpieces decorated the tables. Astonishingly white table-cloths, thousand worth table settings and a single diamond in each of the flower arrangements. Everything is designed to perfection for my best friends wedding. Nope, not mine and Chase's like you all probably would have imagined. We are dating only two years for Christ sake, in my opinion it's hardly enough for a proposal to be justified. Of course Chase has an entirely different opinion about the matter, after all he had been proposing every month for the past two years. You'd think that after twenty-four times he would run out of interesting ways to propose, but no he never ceases to surprise me. It's as if the'rs a book 'A hundred unique ways to propose' on the market.

Me and him never fight, well aside from our usual 'why the hell won't you merry me already' fight. It's not that i don't love him, i just don't understand why such a formality is a necessity. We both love each other and enjoy each other's company. I live in his place for over a year now- go figure how he made me do it- i still have no idea myself. As long as i'm not knocked up and in need to provide a child with a father i am in no rush about this.

I'm not one of those girls who had dreamed about her wedding day all her life. I've been in enough fancy parties and gowns to last a life time, why would i want to spend a huge amount of money on a single day when i can spend it on a flight to somewhere special and actually have a good time. Some might say a wedding day is a reason to have fun, i though believe spending eighteen hours in a suffocating dress and killer hills dancing the night away while either sweating or freezing the whole night -depends on the season- really isn't a good opportunity 'to have a blast'. But then again there are some romantics among us so why kill the buzz for them?

My best friend Violet -with whom i made up that same day at the ball after we sorted things with Chase- is a whole another story. Her wedding is planned to the tiniest details, seriously even the number of stones in her manicure were counted off. The dress she wears is everything you could ever dream of and the most important thing, the groom, hasn't run away. Tough is beats me why the sucker didn't. (A.N: picture of the dress at the side :) )

The sucker -as i like to call him- is Sebastian Dong. And the name does mach the package, if you know what i mean. He is a multi billionaire who had fallen in love with her at first sight at the most ridiculous place on earth to do so, at a cemetery. We were at Roland's funeral ,remember him? My ex-executive, who died as a result of 'over partying' (A.N: kids. Don't do drugs, it's bad.).

They both started talking after the coffin was put into the ground and everything went uphill from there, unfortunately for Roland of course. Things REALLY went uphill, as you can judge from the place i am in now.

I looked at Chase who was standing right beside me ready to escort me down the isle. He had been so patient with me for this past two year, me giving him the same excuse over an over again. Maybe becoming Mrs. Lina Bryant isn't such a bad idea after all. We could organize a small wedding on the beach somewhere in Bally or Barbados. Somewhere which starts with a b so it can be bad-ass. On the other hand who am i kidding, i am a Davis, my mother would destroy me if i even dared to say the word small near her.

Chase rudely interrupted my internal battle "Bunny is something bothering you?"

I smiled at him "No not at all".

I decided what is right just when the orchestra started playing Mendelssohn's March. We slowly made our way after the couple before us. And separated at the altar right after Chase slapped me on the ass, which earned a laugh from the crowd of course.

When the bride started walking down the isle everyone went quiet, you could hear the grooms heart jumping hysterically and pumping in his chest when he saw his beloved. When she reached the altar they smiled at each other, smiles that could have melt icebergs, if they had married on the Titanic there wold have been no problems with any boat sinking. I know they are meant to be together, otherwise i would have yelled objection right when the priest gave me the amazing opportunity to do so, well probably considerably earlier then that, a second after she introduced him to me so he wouldn't waist his time and money after all it is a platinum wedding.

With rings on their fingers and vows in their hearts the bride and groom slowly escorted the crowd to the dining area where good music was being played and a lot of alcohol was consumed.

I jumped on Chase from behind when an awesome idea came to mind "Hey lets go take a walk down the beach" i yelled excitedly into his ear.

He laughed at my enthusiasm and started putting me down to the ground. "No! bad piggy!" I slapped his head making him laugh harder.

"Ok Ok to the beach!" he declared happily and ran to the water. Talk about spacial connection.

When we reached our destination i saw a little boat with two paddles in it, being the adventurous girl i am i couldn't pass on this amazing opportunity. Before i could even declare we will be taking the boat Chase had beat me to it.

"Yeah yeah let's go take the boat" I laughed and kissed his cheek before running excitedly towards it.

Two minutes into Chase's active oaring we were in a fair distance away from the shore, the moon being the only source of light for us and the silent waves braking on the boat the only sound we heard.

I lay back and closed my eyes for a bit just enjoying the beautiful moment. After a while i opened my eyes to the sound of champagne pouring into glasses.

"Where did that come from?" I asked Chase slightly suspicious.

"It was just laying there under the bench" He shrugged nonchalantly making me even more suspicious.

I took the glass from his hand and examined it's bottom to see if i was in danger to swallow any substance made of metal. To my surprise i felt slightly disappointed there wasn't any.

I drank my champagne silently shaking any thoughts that seemed to invade my mind recently.

"I love you bunny" Chase smiled and placed a caressing hand on my cheek "and i don't think there would be a better time to do this then right now" he continued softly his eyes possessing that little sparkle that i love so much. He took out the same little velvet box that I've seen twenty-four times for the past two years. Only this time things felt different, i felt content and i wanted to jump in the water with joy. Maybe suffering threw one wedding day isn't such a big price to pay when i get this fine piece of male to be by my side for the rest of my life.

"Will you marry me, love?" Chase opened the box and took out the beautiful ring i have yet to see since i always cut him short before he even got to opening it.

With tears of joy in my eyes and a strangled throat i managed to utter nonchalantly "Yeah why not" while shrugging one shoulder.

Chase's eyes grew wide and the smile on his face even wider. He hurriedly put the ring on my finger afraid i would change my mind. We laughed hysterically when suddenly Chase decided it would be a good idea to hug me with all his mite.

Believe me the three seconds without air weren't the thing that bothered me the most. It was more the sudden jerk of the boat and it turning upside down making us the victims of the cold Indian Ocean. Any other day i wouldn't have been bothered by a splash of water but being in my bridesmaids dress at my evil best friend's wedding wasn't exactly appealing.

We went out of the water soaking wet yet with big smiles on our faces looking forward to start together the next part of our life's.

Three and a half billion women in the world and every single on of which wants to find her 'magic man', the perfect man that answers all the items on her checklist. A large percentage of them, unfortunately, don't get to spend their life's with such a man. It's either because they hate waiting and settle for something they don't need or because they have to choose someone specific who doesn't match their expectations.

Three and a half billion woman in the world and neither of them is perfect. Confidence is what really makes a woman appealing and any girl has the opportunity to make herself feel desirable. if you really believe you're beautiful everyone we'll believe so as well. Confidence is something not everyone posses, something you have to work hard for. What i'm trying to say is you have to work for you're 'magic man', he's somewhere out there among the 3.56 billion man in the world you just have to wait and see.

The End.
