Annabeth's POV
When I popped my head out of the water a guy with black hair was staring at me. At first I wondered why he was starting at me then I realized most people where not accustom to seeing a mermaid.
"Hi." I said in an overly perky voice.
"Mermaids don't exist." He muttered
"But here I am." I said.
By now I know that most people (and sea creatures) didn't want to accept that all myths were true.
"I'm not used to magic." He said. "My moms Athena and I feel like I should only believe in stuff I have proof of."
"Well now you have proof of mermaids," I said. "Let me bless you with some fabulous mermaid wisdom. All the stories are true."
