Scene continues...
Navya gulped and said , " Jab pehle mujhe do week baad jana tha. Ab kisi reason ki wajah se admissions prepone ho rahe hai and mujhe kal subha hi Delhi jana padega kyuki waha se apne documents collect karke aur packing karke mujhe parso tak Bengaluru jana padega ".
There was utter silence in the environment now. The bright smile on Aarohi's face had disappeared now. She said , " So you are leaving tommorrow ".
Navya just managed to nod in yes.
Aarohi took a deep breath and said, " It had to happen someday. Its alright. " She spoke it with a faded smile. Navya knew it that she is really disheartened by her sudden departure.
But neither Aarohi turned her sadness into words to make Navya guilty about the decision, she should not be, nor Navya wants herself to emotionally breakdown.
Changes are uncomfortable but necessary.
Time skips......
Aarohi called Aarav and told him that Navya is leaving tomorrow. They were upset that she was leaving, but what hurt them more was how Vihaan is gonna react to the same news.
Navya was a little hesitant to tell Vihaan about all this. So, Aarohi offered instead of telling Vihaan directly they can share it with Aarav. So that he can explain it to Vihaan at ease.
Aarav and Vihaan were at the dining table. Aarav said , " Vihaan wo...... ". Vihaan replied , " Kahiye bhai ". Aarav said , " Wo mein ye keh raha tha ki na ......".
Vihaan said, " Bhai aap itne pareshan kyu ho rahe hai. Jo kehna hai keh dijiye ". Aarav took a deep breath and said , " Jo bhi mein kehne wala hu. Wo shayad tumhare liye sunna asaan nahi ho. Par tumhara ye janna zaruri bhi hai kal Navya wapis ja rahi hai. Uske university admissions prepone ho rahe hai. Kal subha hi uski flight hai ".
Brightness of Vihaan's face was disappeared somehow, but he didn't uttered a single word. Aarav expected him to tell what he was feeling right now. But he stood silent like he was already prepared to it.
It was little surprising for Aarav to witness that his brother's beloved is going far from him and he is not even trying to find words to convey his grief.
Aarav tapped on his shoulder and said , " Vihaan, you can share your feelings with me. I am your brother. I know you might be feeling hurt. But you don't need to feel sad. Its a matter of few years, Right ".
Vihaan said , " Why I will be sad bhai. We already knew she have to go. The thing which was about to happen a week later is happening tommorrow. What is there to grief about ? ".
Aarav was actually astonished by his reaction and was not able to process that his little brother turned out this much practical with in period of few months.
Aarav asked , " Tumhe dukh nahi ho raha hai ki wo door ja rahi hai ". Vihaan said , " Apni khushi ke liye uski khushiyo ka gala ghot du. Wo chahti hai aage padhna to mein kyu roku usse. Pyaar jaruri hai par career bhi to jaruri hai. Mein nahi chahta ki usse apne saath rakhne ke liye mein uss se uski pehchan ka ek hissa cheen lu. Abhi humare beech pyar hai aur aage bhi hoga par aage jab life mein responsibilities bhi aaye to mein chahta hu ki hum financially aur mentally uske liye prepare reh paye. Relationships ki umar nahi hoti par career ki hoti hai. Agar relationship ke liye career chod diya to shayad uske aur mere dono ke mann mein ye reh jaega ki wo nahi kar sake jo karna chahte the. Kuch saal wo apne par lagaye, kuch mein khud par lagau. Saalo bhatka hu, asli pyaar dhundhne ke liye. Ab usse bhi apne saath zabardasti bandhe rakhne ke chakkar mein kho diya to iss se badi koi galti nahi hogi ".
The one who is destined to be yours will cross seven seas only to reach you.
Someone who is not meant to be yours will leave even after spending years together.
It is never about who is nearby or who is at a distance.
It's always about the destiny.
Aarav said , " Reh lega uske bina ". Vihaan said , "Koshish kar lunga ". Aarav asked ," Agar nahi hua to ".Vihaan said ," Tab bhi reh lunga. Changes to aate jate rehte hai. Jab udaipur aaye the tab bhi to mann mein sawal the hi kaise settle honge. Par huye na to ye bhi ho hi jaega ".
After numerous attempts to convince him that he can share his feelings, Aarav miserably failed. He knew no matter how hard his brother is trying to conceal his pain, but he is hurt and no can change this fact.
Vihaan returned to his room after completing the dinner. He dialled Navya's number. She picked up the call as she was restless thinking of his reaction which haven't reached her yet.
Navya : Hello.
Vihaan: Hello Navya.
Navya: Sorry aise achanak jana pad raha hai mujhe.
Vihaan: Sorry kyu ?
Navya: kyuki shayad yaha mein khud ke liye selfish ho gayi hu .
Vihaan: Khud ke liye acha sochne ko selfish dekhne ko selfish hona nahi kehte. Aur mein tumhare sapne or tumhare beech deewar nahi banna chahta. Jaha tum ek hafte baad jati waha kal jaa rahi ho. Iss mein dukh manane se mein tumhare sapno ko nazar nahi lagana chahta.
Navya: Kya kal tum aaoge mujhe see off karne ?
Vihaan : Koshish karunga.
Navya : Matlab tum nahi aaoge.
Vihaan: Pata nahi.
Navya: Tum itna low sound kar rahe ho aaj.
Vihaan: Wo na mein thoda tired hu kal bhi kafi late soye the na fir wo office mein bhi aaj kuch jyada kaam tha.
Navya: Pakka.
Vihaan : Haa , abhi na mom ka call aa raha hai mein tumse paanch minute mein baat karta hu.
Saying this he disconnected the call knowing the fact, how badly she wanted to talk to him then.
Navya's P.O.V.
I think he is too much hurt that he doesn't even want to talk to me. It was stupid of me atleast I could have discussed with him for once. You just declared you want to go and he had to just accept him what you expect from him that he shows disappointment in a relationship which had truly started two days back. From day one I think I am testing his patience. First, I made him wait till I can trust him. In this mean time I misunderstood him a lot and hurted him again and again. Only because he shared a play boy image, even I had a relationship in past. But he never judged me that way. Later when I finally accepted this relationship and we were ready to make a new start. Then my sudden plan to work on my career is now again putting us at a distance. I think I had only troubled him the day I entered his life. Does he really deserve all this miseries.I wish he forgives me for these mistakes of mine . I hope we both had enough courage to face what is coming next to us in future.
Navya was in deep thoughts. When Aarohi called her in the living area.
Aarohi placed her hands on Navya's eyes and directed her towards balcony.
When they reached the balcony it was decorated with faitylights beautifully making it a treat to eyes. Aarohi removed her hands from his eyes and asked , " Kaisa laga surprise ".
Navya asked , " Mere liye ? ". Aarohi replied, " Nahi padosiyo ke liye ". Navya laughed listening to her talks. Aarohi said, " Ab waha chal kar betho to maine itni mehnat ki hai yaha."
Aarohi picked up a pizza box placed there and said , " Tumhara favorite hi mangaya hai maine ye pizza ". Navya said , " Thank you ".
Aarohi said , " Ye kya hota hai, kaha hai na dosti mein no sorry no thank you ". Navya nodded in response.Then they started eating while staring at the night sky full of stars.
Navya said , " Tum dukhi nahi ho, mere aise achanak se jaane se ? ". Aarohi replied , " Dukhi to hu par mere pas do options the ek to apne dukh mein khud ka bhi mood kharab karti aur tumhe bhi dukhi karke yaha se bhejti aur dusra sachaai ko apna kar tumhe khushi khushi bhejti. Ab chahe dukhi ho kar bheje ya khush ho kar tumhara jaana to jaruri hai hi to kyu na aise pareshan hone ke jagah khushiya chune. Hai na ? ".
Navya became emotional .With tears in her eyes she said , " Mujhe tum bahut yaad aaogi. Wo humara raat ko 2 baje maggi banana, humari wo endless baatein, ek dusre se sab share, staying with each other in all the thicks and thins. Itni saari yaadein hai humari ".
Aarohi said , " Koi nahi humare pas memories to hai hi na. We will be together soon. I think you forget we both are in relationships with boys from same family. You know what does it mean really well ".
Navya said , " kaash mein ye udaipur wala life phase dobara jee pati ache se ".
Aarohi said with a hope in her tone, " Jo hua wo bhi acha tha aur jo hoga wo aur bhi acha hoga ".
Saying this she hugged Navya. Tears rolled down Navya's cheek. Wiping those tears Aarohi spoke , " Mujhe apni best friend ko rote huye yaha se nahi bhejna. Jab beginning achi thi to end to aur acha hona chahiye na ".
Navya nodded in a yes. A light smile appeared on Navya's face. Then both of them keep talking for two hours continuosly under an open night sky.
अच्छी यादें अक्सर ज्यादा रुलाया करती है।
क्योंकि जब जिंदगी के पन्नों को पलट कर देखते है।
तो दिल बेचैन हो उठता है, उन पलों को जीने के लिए।
जो थे तो बहुत खास पर अब बस यादों में सिमट गए है।
Next morning......
11:00 am
Udaipur Airport
Navya was all set to return to Delhi. Only Aarohi and Aarav were present there. Aarav said , " Take care " while patting Navya's head.
Aarohi said, " I will miss you " and engulfed her in a bone crushing hug. Navya reciprocated in hug and said , " I will miss you too ".
Soon, they pulled back from the hug. Aarohi asked Aarav through her eyes how much time Vihaan would take to reach there, trying her best that Navya don't get to know about it.
Aarav spoke through gesture that he don't know Vihaan will come or not. Because after numerous efforts to convince his brother, he don't think he succeed.
Navya said ," You guys can talk through words. I know you love communicating through eyes. I know he won't come. I have disappointed him a lot. So, I should not expect him to cope up with all so soon".
Aarav tries to cover up saying ," Navya wo aane wala hoga you are misunderstanding it ". Navya interrupted," Its okay bhai , we should not force him to do something he want ".
A faded smile was on her face signifying that how badly she wants him to be with her at this point of time. But he was not here and she can't even complain about it.
Navya's P.O.V.
I know he won't be here. My mind has clarified the full justification of not being here. But my heart badly wants him. My heart suggests that I should get wrapped in his arms for the last time before I leave this city. I want him actually I need him. Please for once meet me. I know it's not easy for both of us. But if you don't meet me , it will worsen the situation for me. I want to feel that warmth again which I feel while hugging you.
They were waiting for a lot of time. At this point of time,all of them had lost the hope that Vihaan will reach there. Navya was about to go and even Aarav and Aarohi had the courage to give her fake hopes.
Navya was about to leave for the boarding process for which a little time left but waiting for him was stabbing her heart even more. So she decided to leave little early.
She was about to get in the queue after bidding a good bye to Aarav and Aarohi.
Suddenly she heard Vihaan's voice from back calling her. She ignored the call thinking that she might be hallucinating as she badly wanted him there.
Again, she heard the same voice. She turned back only to witness Vihaan standing at some distance from her. He was standing there with a bouquet and choclates.
Navya returned back to the place where Aarav and Aarohi were standing along with Vihaan. Now, Vihaan and Navya were standing face to face.
Vihaan said , " Wo mein tumhare favorite chocolates and flower lene gaya tha and fir traffic mil gaya, Isliye late.......... ". Before he could complete, Navya interrupted in between and said , " Hug me ".
Being astonished Vihaan quicky asked , " What you just said ? ". Navya spoke in a stern tone, " Hug me right now otherewise I am not gonna talk to you for an entire week ".
Vihaan quickly handed the chocolates and bouquets to Aarohi and hugged her Aarohi and Aarav moved from there to give them some privacy and time to talk.
Navya said , " You think I needed flowers and chocolates. Idiot boy, I needed you, just you with me right now. I can get hundreds of them in benglauru but you are the one who is much precious to me.You are the one I am gonna miss there badly ".
Navya reciprocated the hug and snuggled more into his chest and said , " You made me homesick for a person with whom I was scared to fall in love. You remember I used to say that you are a headache. Today, I say you are not a headache but a medicine to all my pain and sorrow and I have to return without my medicine. How I will survive there without you there". Her voice cracked at the last sentence.
Tears rolled down her cheeks and she tightened her grip around him. With one hand he wiped her tears and with another hand he patted her back to soothe her.
Vihaan said , " Aise rougi to mujhe acha nahi lagega, please aise mat karo ". Navya said, " Hum saalo ke liye door jaa rahe hai aur tum kehte ho ki mein iss baat pe rou na. I know ye mera decision tha par ab meri hi jaan ja rahi hai. Tumse ek kadam bhi door jane par ".
Vihaan replied , " Hum door kaha jaa rahe hai. Kabhi tum Delhi kabhi mein bengluru. Aise hi kat jaega time ". Navya said , " Itna asaan nahi ye sab jitna tum keh rahe ho. Hardships to face karni hi padengi chahe kitna hi koshish kar le. Long distance asaan nahi, ek baar jhagda hua to tum sochte reh jaoge ki mein call karu aur mein sochti reh jaungi ki tum pehle baat karo. Issi beech humara pyaar kahi kho gaya to ? ".
Vihaan held her chin and made her look towards him , " My sweetheart! Hum rules bana lenge jab mein ladayi shuru karu to tum mana lena aur jab mein ladati shuru karu to tum mana lena. Na khud give up karunga na tumhe karne dunga. We are gonna make it work together ".
Somehow Navya was little calm now as he was there with her. She said, " I think boarding ka time hone wala hai. Mujhe jana padega ab ". She slowly pulled back from hug. Till now his shirt was drenched with her tears.
Vihaan said , " Bye, see you after ............. ".
Before he could complete , Navya interrupted inbetween and said , " Even we don't know when we are gonna meet again face to face, so there is no time of period after in this sentence ".
Till now, Aarav and Aarohi had also returned. Aarav said , " Vihaan kab tak apne emotions khud me samete rakhega. Wo jaa rahi hai. Pata nahi tum dono wapis kab milo. Dil mein jo bhi hai sab keh daal aaj ".
Vihaan's P.O.V.
She is going far from me. The biggest and the most bitter truth from my life. I wish I could stop her. But I can't. No matter how calm and composed I am pretending to be in front of others. But in reality I am broken I am yearning for her lifetime support. I want to keep her near me forever but not at the sake of her happiness. But now when I know we don't know when we are gonna meet again. I feels that I can't take the burden on this heart anymore. I just can't do it. She is the heartbeat to my heart and you know really well without heart beat a heart is declared dead and without her I am dead. She don't know how difficult it is for me to survive without her. I am not vocal about my emotions here doesn't mean I am not upset of her leaving me alone here. Its just that I don't want to make her feel guilty about her decision.
Navya was about to leave while bidding goodbye to all of them. Then suddenly Vihaan rushed to her and hugged her tightly as his life dependent on it.
He inhaled her intoxicating scent which he is gonna miss for next years. Vihaan said , " Tumne apna to bata diya ki mein dawa hu tumhari. Mujhe pucha ki mera kya hoga tumhare bina. Thoda sa andaza bhi hai ki ho insaan tumse pagalo ki tarah pyaar karta hai kya wo jee lega tumhare bina. Tum sirf pyaar nahi aadat ho meri. Aisi aadat jiske liye zindagi vaar du apni ".
She was in his arms and tears were rolling down his cheeks. Navya said , " Mujhe to itna kuch bol kar chup kara diya. Ab khud kyu ro rahe ho ". Saying this she wiped his tears.
Vihaan said , " Meri rooh ho tum aur tum hi mujhse door ja rahi ho. Mein aise mein rou bhi na ab. Kaash mein tumhe rok paata par mere pyaar khudgarz bhi to nahi ki tumhare sapno ko aasman dene ki jagah unhe kaid kar lu apne saath ".
Navya said , " Ab jana to padega shayad yahi sahi hai ". He tightened his grip around her and broke into sobs. Her heart was shattering into pieces seeing the sunshine boy she met shedding tears because of her.
Men do cry.
Its not weak of them to shed tears if they are hurt.
Emotional baggage weighs a lot.
I think crying it out is the best way to get rid of it.
And it is so stupid of people to say that men should bury all their pain and sorrow in their hearts instead of crying their heart out.
I mean why? Are not they are humans who should have the right to portray their emotions.
Tears were still rolling down his cheeks and with constant hiccups, he managed to speak, " Mujhe bhul to nahi jaogi waha". Now even Navya had turned emotional, she said, " Kabhi nahi ".
The worst thing about promises are uncertainty which scares the hell out of the people.
Vihaan's face had turned red due to constantly crying. Navya asks Aarav for some water. He passed water bottle to her. After making Vihaan drink some water she said , " Aisa haal kar loge mere bina apna " .
Vihaan said , " Tumhare bina har pal saza hai mere liye. Mana kabhi mein aaj tak aise roya nahi. Par mujhe darr hai tumse door hone ka ".
Navya said , " Agar tum aise kahoge to mein nahi jane wali. Padhai jaruri hai par tumhe aise nahi dekh sakti. Tum raunak ho meri zindagi ki tumse aise sunsan karke kaise chali jau mein. Mujhe nahi jana kahi bhi waapis ghar chalo ".
Vihaan quickly wiped his tears and after composing himself in a calm state , " I am okay. But please don't sacrifice your dreams. I want you to achieve everything you wish for. Tum apni studies continue karo mein apna career start karta hu. Mein chahta hu ki jab kuch saal baad hum mile hum ek dusre ke liye har pehlu mein perfect ho ".
Navya asked , " Reh loge mere bina ? ". Vihaan said , " Jab tumhare bina rehna mushkil lage tumhare paas aa jaunga. Bengluru door nahi hai waise bhi ".
Navya smiled at his filmy dialogue. She said , " I have to go now. Soon there will be a final call to board the flight." Aarav spoke , " Yeah , we have a little time left now".
After this Navya bid a final goodbye to all of them. They see her disappearing figure which was vanished into the crowd of people at airport.
Fake smiles on faces of them had disappeared now along with Navya. All what is left now in pain and loneliness after she left from there which can't be replaced now.
Vihaan hugged Aarav tightly and said, " Bhai chali gayi wo" with tears brimming down his eyes and cursing his luck in matters of love. Aarav asked , " To roka kyu nahi usse ? ".
Vihaan spoke with a cracked voice , " Bas nahi rok saka ". Aarav asked , " Fir abb? ".
Vihaan said, " Uske bina rehne ki koshish karunga ".
Aarav said , " Reh loge uske bina ? ". Vihaan replied , " Imtihaan chal rahe hai mere ishq ke, par itna to bharosa hai ki jaise acha waqt jaldi se guzar gaya ye pura waqt bhi guzar jaega jaldi hi ".
They pulled back from the hug. Aarohi passed him a water bottle. He slowly gulped down the water and they headed toward their homes.
Aarohi's P.O.V.
Life is really weird right. Till yesterday everything was going perfect. We were celebrating birthday , making memories with our partner's family. Every moment was actually a bliss. But I think everything keeps happening smooth like butter than it invites more uncertainties like it happened with us. All of us have just started enjoying each other's company and now separation period had started. My heart broke seeing two lovers yearning for each other's their presence. I don't know how they will be able to make it up till the end. I wish both of them could be able to gather courage and spend this separation period with some ease.
Reading a love story is good.
Until the separation arrives.
But I think we get to know the importance of people more better when they are away from us.
As it is human nature to take people for granted when they met someone who will love them being selfless.
Aarav's P.O.V.
I am feeling my heart shattering into pieces seeing my brother crying for love of his life this way. I have never seen him being this emotional. I always saw him being happy and cheerful person. Seeing him a broken state is disheartening me and the worst part is I can't do anything for here now. He was someone who was with me through all my thicks and thins but today I felt powerless as I can only sympathise him instead of helping him in getting rid of his miseries. Loving someone was fine until you reached the phase Longing for Love, and the worst part is that you never know when this longing is gonna end. The phase had entered my brother's life and even I had to suffer it someday. Because even I know really well she is too young to get binded in the responsibility of marriage and I think love is not about getting married only after quickly realising your feelings and confessing it. There is a lot more we need to explore . I want that we get to know each other even more better before engaging into any commitment. It definitely does not mean that I am not interested in getting married to her. Its just that I want everything to happen on right time and this is not the right time and I think she would have the same opinion here. Till then even we had to bear the pain of long distance relationship after few weeks. Truth of Vihaan and Navya's life today will also be our reality soon. I don't know how I am gonna bear the same in my life when I can't tolerate it in my brother's life.
8:00 pm
Aarohi was sitting silently at a chair in the balcony while sipping tea from cup.
She was not feeling sad but lonely too. No matter how hard Aarav tries to cheer her up but he can't Navya's place in Aarohi's life.
Friends can't be replaced.
If you have found the real ones.
Echos of their laughter and talks were roaming in her head. But her eyes were seeing the reality where she is witnessing no one is there.
Her heart was into pieces , she is again separated by her best friend with whom she was united years later. Even the tea was not able to fill some joy in the life which seems dull with exit of one person.
She was gazing at the same night sky who was full of starry eyes as yesterday. But today Aarohi had lost her company to gaze at the sky. So everything seems uninteresting to her.
Destination was same.
Either it is today or yesterday.
But the person who made the journey beautiful was lost somewhere in between race of time.
All what left now is the real truth which is a feeling of emptiness.
On the other hand, Vihaan is keeping himself busy at work. He is not escaping the reality but trying to accept it in his own ways.
Everyone have same problems.
But what makes people different is their approached to deal with same issue.
Some forgets it, some accepts it and some escape it.
But consequences have to be borne by all of them.
