That's how their friendship started from YouTube comments to telegram DMs to texting to phone calls and now video calls.

Jungkook was in the US doing his final year of college and Jimin was studying in Busan.
Jungkook had already fallen for Jimin a long time ago, each new thing made him fall deeper - from the phone call when he first heard Jimin's voice saying his name and to the video call when Jungkook first saw Jimin
Jungkook had actually proposed to Jimin the first time the man heard Jimin's voice but Jimin just dismissed it off with a giggle thinking Jungkook was just being his flirty self. Soon conversations became less of RM and more about each other's interests, likes and dislikes, routines and hopes for the future
But when Jungkook first saw Jimin on video, he proposed yet again with reasons as to why they should be together- about how they won't ever have a problem because they technically like the same things and share a lot of common interests. Jimin agrees to date the man even if it's a long distance relationship because Jungkook made him feel safe and loved.

They often do video calls and date nights through the calls - Jimin and Jungkook would order similar meals and then select a movie and watch it at the same time. The two would comment about the characters and enjoy the moment even if they weren't next to each other.
"Hahaha... I can't stop laughing... how come you aren't laughing?" Jimin asks and then looks at Jungkook through his screen to see the man looking back at him with a huge smile on his face and a loving gaze
Jimin gulps at the intensity. He knew if he was right next to Jungkook at this moment, he would have been receiving a hot passionate kiss
"You look so beautiful when you laugh like that... I love watching you enjoying the movie rather than me watching the movie itself..." Jungkook smiles making Jimin blush
"I love you Jiminah..." Jungkook says making Jimin snap his eyes back at the screen

Jungkook didn't know he could get jealous. But the way his heart picked up pace when Jungkook heard another man in Jimin's apartment surprised himself
"Chimmy babbyyyyyy....!" Jungkook could hear the other man from the living room "....where are my strawberries?!"
"It's deep inside the last rack of the fridge!" Jimin yells back
Jungkook and Jimin were on video call in Jimin's bedroom. Jimin was tidying up his room as he spoke to the man
"Sorry Kook... what were you saying?"
Jimin snapped his head towards the video call when he sensed Jungkook wasn't talking. That's when Jimin sees Jungkook's eyes were glaring into space, his tongue poking against his cheek

"Huh?"
"I said that was Tae..."

He knew about Jimin's friendship with Taehyung - he had heard of the boy and seen his pictures with Jimin. Jungkook knew Taehyung visited Jimin at times.
"Oh... Tae... Taehyung!... haha... of course I knew that's him... duh!... of course.." Jungkook is smiling awkwardly
Jimin giggles seeing that
"I love you Jungkook... only you..."
Jungkook smiles lovingly "I love you too..."

Their relationship go on like this for 2 years before Jungkook finally returns after completing his studies
Jimin had been crying over the video calls and Jungkook had been teasing him for being a cry baby but the second Jungkook spotted the tiny boy at the airport waiting for him, he was the one who started crying as soon as he hugged the boy- Jimin looked even more tiny and cuter in person.
"Now who is the cry baby" Jimin says hugging the man back, his own eyes glistening with tears
"Shut up..." Jungkook whines as he pulls back to cup Jimin's face "....I can't believe you are finally here ... in my arms... I missed you so much..."
Jimin lets his tears fall in happiness "I missed you too... welcome back..."
"I love you Jiminah... I hope you know that..." Jungkook says leaning forwarding after getting a silent nod from the boy
"I love you too" Jimin says closing his eyes to receive the long awaited kiss from his long distance boyfriend, his hands clenching at the man's long sleeved shirt
