"I'm sorry today didn't turn out like you wanted it to."
"Its alright. Its not your fault. Can you just take me home? I wanna go lay down for the rest of the day." I said resting my head in my hand.
"You want me to stay with you?" I shrugged my shoulders, not caring whether he stayed or not. I looked out the window as many things passed by.
We pulled up in my driveway and sat in the car for a minute.
"Come here. Sit on my lap." I did what I was told and climbed on his lap. I could feel the steering wheel in my back. He laid his forehead on mine.
"Don't be mad at me."
I sighed. "I can't even get mad at you Chris. You're famous. I gotta deal with this shit if I'm gonna be with you."
"You gotta work tomorrow?" I nodded my head. He sucked his teeth and tightened his grip on my waist. "Why can't you just quit? I'll take care of you."
"You know I don't wanna quit. And what if we're not together in the future?"
"I'll still be taking care of you."
"How do you know that Chris? I'm working and that's final. I'm not quitting my job for a man."
"Alright babe. I respect your choices." He smiled. "Thank you."
"Want me spend the night?"
"It don't matter. I'm just gon go to sleep and get ready for work tomorrow."
"Its a yes or no question."
"No."
"Why not? Don't you love me?"
"Yes I love you. But you will be getting in the way of my routine."
"Okay. I'll go home. Gimme kissy." I puckered my lips and leaned down. Our lips touched and I could already feel him licking my bottom lip for entrance. I accepted, tilting my head and let his tongue slip in my mouth. Our tongues danced with each other before I pulled away.
"Why you stop?"
"Cause it was gon lead to something else and I need to be able to walk in the morning."
"I love you."
"I love you too baby boy." He kissed me one more time and let me out the car. I waved to him and watched him drive down the street.

"Kae, I'm home!" I yelled walking in the house. She came out the kitchen in nothing but her robe on.
"Hey baby. Come in the kitchen. I wanna talk to you." She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the kitchen. I sat in the chair and she sat on my lap, straddling me.
"Chris, I'm sorry for accusing you of cheating. Its just that..ever since I found out you were cheating on me with Rihanna, I lost my mind. I keep thinking you don't love me anymore."
"Karrueche, that Rihanna thing was in the past. I chose you over her. There's no one else but you. I love you and that's all that matters." I looked her in the eyes.
"Okay. Just please don't ever hurt me like that again."
"I won't, I promise." I wrapped my arms around her tightly. She inhaled deeply and sighed heavily.

It took him five minutes to reply.
BigDaddyBreezy: Yea, you ready?
Too late. I'm on the bus.-NikaBear
He never replied. I sighed, putting my phone in my purse and waited for the bus to get near the diner.
I pulled the string, waited for the bus to come to a halt and exited. I walked in the diner, frustrated and tired for no reason at all.
"Hey Onika." Chyna smiled at me. I smiled back and went to clock in. She followed behind me.
"What's wrong, girl? You look tired."
"I am tired."
"Mr. Brown been putting it down huh?" She giggled.
I scoffed. "No, that nigga forgot to pick me up today and I had to ride the bus." I explained to her.
"Back to your old ways. Good because ever since that nigga caught back up to you, you ain't been consoling with me and my problems."
"What problems do you have, Chyna? Your life is perfect."
"Well, I don't wanna toot my own horn but toot, toot!" I looked at her with a 'really nigga' face.
"So what's been going on with you?"
"Nothing really." I said while tying an apron around my waist.
"You lying. You and Chris been doing something."
"What you think we was doing?"
"Tryna make babies." She mumbled.
"You know I don't want kids right now."
"Mhm. You probably pregnant right now. Lemme smell your breath. See you getting a pudge in your belly already." She poked my stomach.
"Get off me. I'm not pregnant. I don't plan on getting pregnant for a long time. Now lets get to work, we got customers to serve.
12:34 p.m.
I was cleaning the tables after this crazy couple left when I seen three men come in. Two I didn't notice but the other one, I really didn't wanna see. I got out of sight as fast as could and went to the back with Chyna.
"Nika, what's wrong? You seem jumpy." I pointed to the table they went to.
"That nigga found you again. How?"
"I don't know. Chyna what am I gon do? I can't go back out there. I'm afraid. Go for me, please please please..."
"Alright scaredy cat." She picked up her pen and pad and walked out there for me. I watched them as they looked her up and down before ordering. She smiled and walked away.
"What'd they say?"
"They wanted to know if you worked here, I told them no and they're leaving now." I sighed in relief.
"I'm moving." I told her.
"What, you're leaving me?"
"No I'm actually moving closer to you, in your neighborhood. Some boys broke in my house the other night and I just wanna get in a nice neighborhood. You know, around people and stuff."
"That's even better. When are you moving?"
"I don't know yet. Soon I hope. I'm tired of being threatened."
"Threatened?"
"Javontè called me and threatened me. I think he has something to do with my house being broken in."
"Oh my god. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She asked pulling me into a hug.
"Ugh you and Chris are so alike."
"I bet we are. I'm coming to your house after work. Lets finish."
We finished our shift and headed to my house after work, like she said.
