Y/N had teary eyes while staring at Jungkook and her words made him frown, fists clenched.
Y/N: How could you really hit him!! How could you be so mean?! You made a promise, but you do whatever you want anyway! (She let escape some tears that she immediately wiped with the back of her hand.) Is it the type of brother that you want to be?! Ji-Won is not a bad guy from middle school that deserves your anger! I don't need a Jungkook from that time!
Jin: (He felt sorry to see her like that.) Y/N...
Y/N looked away and after wiping new tears from her eyes, she was about to leave but Jungkook grabbed her wrist.
Jungkook: Wait! Don't react like that! (She ignored him.) Y/N, I'm talking to you, don't ignore me! (He made her face him and Ji-Won came closer.)
Ji-Won: Please let her go, you are mad against me, not her.
Jungkook: You, shut up!
Jin grabbed Jungkook's forearm to make him let go of his catch, on their little sister's wrist.
Jin: Jungkook, that's enough! You already did enough damages... stop before it's too late.
Jungkook: Son Y/N!
For few seconds, Y/N forgot that they were near the campus entry, in front of everyone. Since the beginning, her relationship with Jungkook was different. She was a mature child, except with him, she was naturally shy, but way less with him, she was more expressive and when they had an argue, she wanted to hurt him as much as he was hurting her. This time too, it was her childish state of mind.
Y/N: I don't want to talk to you... Kim Jungkook! I don't want a brother that hurt people that I care for! I will not be the obedient little sister that you want, so don't talk to me... ever again!
Y/N ran away under Jungkook's shocked gaze. Jin sighed for long seconds. He nodded to Ji-Won to tell him to go with his little sister, and the young man went after his girlfriend, with a bad glare to Jungkook. Just with one punch, he knew that their strength were not equal, but he was ready to have a one-to-one fight with him after he made Y/N cry.
Jin: Congratulations, you just lost your little sister! I don't even want to know how you will fix that situation but, one advice, don't let things go further, because that kid maybe forgives, but deep down, she never forgets!
Jungkook stayed silent, his gaze still staring toward the direction which Y/N took. Jin left with a disappointed face. Jungkook was almost 22 but still reacting like a very immature kid. He took his phone and called Yoongi.
Jin: Yoongi, you met Kang Ji-Won?
Yoongi: Yeah, how do you know? That little shit complained to Y/N?
Jin: He didn't complain, he just mentioned it during lunch today.
Jin entered his car and continued his call with Yoongi who was quietly in his bedroom.
Yoongi: Hum... I wanted to test him... I give him the benefit of the doubt for now...
Jin: In short, you beat his ass to see if he was able to protect Y/N and he was ready to be beaten for her?!
Yoongi: You know me well... Brother...
Jin: Good job, no marks on his face, so no one will suspect anything... and in no one, I'm talking about our dear baby sis' of course!
Yoongi: And that little baby was angry because I met that guy?
Jin: Not really, and I'm sure that now, she forgot that... Jungkook did the best of Jungkook, and he punched Kang Ji-Won in front of Y/N. At her reaction, I think that she really loves him... unfortunately...
Yoongi: She cried because of that idiot of Jungkook?
Jin: Yes, he messed up alone, he have to fix things alone... and trust me, it will not be that easy this time. Yejin will kill him for sure!
The two brothers knew that the entire house will be affected after Jungkook's reaction. They exchanged 5 more minutes and cut the call. Jin took the direction of the company to check few files.

In the campus, Y/N had stopped near a bench under a tree to calm down. Ji-Won was sitting next to her in silence. He only took her hand, a sign that he was there for her. After two minutes, she was calmer. The young man looked at her with a bright smile.
Ji-Won: Do you feel better? (She nodded.) It is only our 3rd day but not one, without adventure...
Y/N: I am sorry... I didn't think that he will go so far... he is an idiot, mean and only knowing to use his muscles! He is never going to change...
Ji-Won: Hey, Y/N, it's alright... I understand him... even if I was the one punched, I get that he doesn't trust me and...
Y/N: No, don't make excuses for him! He always threatened any guys just talking to me and it's not the first time we argue because of that... but this time... he went too far!
Ji-Won smiled. He knew that Y/N was upset but he found her cute.
Ji-Won: So... in fact... I have to be thankful to him... (She looked at him with big eyes.)... Yes, if no one except me, had the chance to kiss those lips, it's thanks to your crazy brothers! (She blushed and he laughed.) You're damn cute... so cute that I want to kiss you right here, right now!
Y/N: What?? No, it's sch... (He put a light kiss on her lips.) You... anyone can see us! (She looked around but there was no one.)
Ji-Won: There is not a single soul around... and isn't it something normal at university? Couple students flirting together during break time... it's a good motivation to go to school...
Y/N: You're crazy... where is the discreet and introverted boy that didn't like to interact with people from few weeks ago?!
Ji-Won: He was changed by his cute girlfriend... but don't worry, it's only for you... I still don't really like people...
Y/N: (She looked at him, smiling.) Thank you... Ji-Won...
Ji-Won: Forget your brothers, next time, let's go on a secret date!
Y/N: Is it ambitious to ask you out for an early dinner tonight?
Ji-Won: I'm glad that you are the first to propose... I was not sure that you will be in the mood for round 2!
Y/N: I don't want to stay on what happened... and I don't want to see a certain someone... but just for the secret part, it will be difficult... Aman is never too far, but he is very discreet, I hope you understand.
Ji-Won: Your Indian bodyguard? (He looked around.) He is not here?! I didn't see him anywhere.
Y/N: (She made a hand sign in the opposite direction.) Over there... I told you never too far, but close enough in case I need him... (She murmured even if no one except Ji-Won could hear her.)... I suspect him to be a ninja or something like that...
Ji-Won: I saw him handling those loan sharks... I hope to never be on his black list!
Y/N: Aman is the best, always on my side, you don't have to worry.
Ji-Won: (He smiled to Aman.) I guess, it works as long as I don't make you unhappy or misbehave with you. (She smiled.)
Ji-Won walked Y/N to the building where her next class was planned. When they arrived, the young girl's classmates couldn't resist to gossip. Son Y/N was with a boy at school. It was the news of the year!
Ji-Won felt Y/N's embarrassment. He glared at the group, and they looked away. He didn't want to make Y/N uncomfortable to he only put a light kiss on top of her hand before leaving.
Of course, before the teacher arrival, she was questioned by the same group of girls and when she confirmed, with pinky cheeks, that Ji-Won was her boyfriend, she was surprised to receive congratulations for her good catch!
Some wanted to know more about their couple, and some wondered how her brothers had reacted, having seen them by the past with the boys interested by Y/N.
Fortunately for the young girl, the teacher arrived and started his lesson, saving her from all those questions. During the class, Y/N texted Aman to tell him that she wanted to have dinner with Ji-Won. He answered that he will drive her with pleasure.
After that Y/N left, Jungkook didn't go home as he had originally planned. He called Taehyung and they joined each other at the underground game center they were used to go when they were high-schoolers.
It has been a while since they went there, and Taehyung didn't ask anything when his younger brother asked to joint him over there.
Taehyung: JK... what's going on? Why did you want to meet me here instead of home?
Jungkook: It's about Y/N and that... jerk...
Taehyung: You saw them together? Damn... so that's really real... fu**!
Jungkook: Yes, it is! Even Jin Hyung had lunch with them!
Taehyung: I get why you look so down.
Jungkook: I punched him... and Y/N hates me now! What can I do, because I don't regret hitting him and I will never apologize... but Y/N is reacting like a kid! Crying for that guy... Saying that she will never talk to me again... is she loosing her mind?
Taehyung understood his little brother's reaction and frustration.
Taehyung: She probably reacted like that on the moment, she will calm down, don't worry.
Jungkook: I'm not so sure... if you had saw the way she looked at me... She even called me Jungkook after yelling at me that she didn't need a brother like me!
Taehyung: Aouch... she attacks you where it hurts!
Jungkook: She will regret her words because I am the one who doesn't need a little sister that doesn't know what's good for her or not! That idiot!
Taehyung: Eh Bro', calm down. Don't say things that you will regret later. I totally understand and agree with you. I would have loved to punch him myself but starting a cold war with Y/N will not solve anything.
Jungkook: Say that to her!
Taehyung: She is just a kid... you know how she always overreacts when you are involved.
Jungkook was not convinced by his brother. They stayed there for the rest of the afternoon, playing games like when they were teenagers. They came back home around 8.00pm and they were surprised to not see Y/N.
Taehyung: Y/N is not back from school yet?
Mrs Son: She is going to have dinner outside tonight.
Taehyung: With Sohyun? (He grabbed a bottle of water.)
Mrs Son: No, with her boyfriend... (He looked at her.) What? Something to say? (Jungkook left without a word.)
Taehyung: No... but she is not the type to go out during the week when she has classes the next day.
Mrs Son: Y/N is not a little girl and Aman is with her. What's wrong with Jungkook? Is he sick?
Taehyung: No, probably tired, we played games... and he lost!
Mrs Son: Yes, sure... it has nothing to do with your little sister being in a date with Ji-Won, right? (Taehyung stared at her, not knowing what to say.) Do you take your mother for an idiot?!
Taehyung was surprised by Yejin's words. He knew that this conversation could lead to another dispute. He would have to chose his words wisely.
Taehyung: Mom... Don't say that. You know hat Jungkook always needs more time for everything...
Mrs Son: For his own sake, he should try to adapt quickly to that new situation... and this advice works for you too.
Taehyung: Yes, promise, no troubles with Y/N... I need a shower before dinner... see you...
Mrs Son: Hum... do that...
Taehyung was wondering if his mother knew what Jungkook did but after a second of reflection, if she was, his brother would already be on his knees until he will not be able to walk. But in that house, there was definitively one that knew what happened, the head of the family, Mr Kim. So, when he crossed Jungkook who was going to his bedroom, he asked him to follow him to his office. Mr Kim sat behind his desk with a serious face. Jungkook remained standing in front of him.
Jungkook: You wanted to talk about something?
Mr Kim: I know what happened at the university with your little sister and that boy.
Jungkook: Great! So, who told you? Y/N? She complained to you? Or is it one of your minions?!
Mr Kim: Y/N didn't say anything, even if she would be in her rights to do. Did you really have to do that? If Yejin learns about that, she will be devastated and our family in mess. That's what you want?!
Jungkook: No, of course, no! And a little punch is nothing!
Mr Kim: Not for Y/N or Yejin! Do you want to have a dispute with her, just like you had with your sister? (Jungkook shocked his head.) We all agree about that! Because when you piss off your mother, the entire family is uncomfortable! So, fix the problem with Y/N before your mother knows everything!
Jungkook: Mom will know anyway because Y/N refuses to talk to me... so when she will notice that and ask her why... you know how it's going to end...
Mr Kim: You screwed! (He sighed.) You're an adult, stop creating troubles for your parents!
Jungkook: Your daughter overreacts because of that punk! He is not good for her; he has a bad influence on her!
Mr Kim: We all know what you think about your little sister dating a boy, and I'm sorry to tell you that on this point, we, men, don't have a thing to say in that house. As a father, I wish to never see a man touching my little girl, but I know that it is ridiculous dream. I can only hope that she will choose a good boy and if it's not the case, I give myself the rights to intervene, otherwise, I, and all of you too, have the duty to be there for her, and that's all!
Jungkook had listened to his father with respect and attention. A part of him understood, but another one was denying the facts.
Jungkook: Hum... it sucks... I'm tired, don't wait me for dinner, bye!
After his little talk with Jungkook, Mr Kim went to join his wife. The young man went upstairs, and Kwan was coming out of his bedroom with his plush and his book.
Kwan: Hyung...
Jungkook: Hum... what are you doing here instead of sleeping?
Kwan: Noona is not here to read my book with me...
Jungkook: That's why you can't sleep? (He nodded.) Why didn't you ask the parents or one of our brothers?
Kwan: Because I don't want to bother Yoongi Hyung, Hobi Hyung is resting, and the others are not there...
Jungkook: Mom? Dad? (He pushed his bedroom's door and entered, followed by his baby brother.) Why didn't you ask them?
Kwan: (He jumped on Jungkook's bed.) Because I am not a baby.
Jungkook: (He looked at him, amused.) You're not a baby, but you're looking for someone to read you bedtime story!
Kwan: It's not a bedtime story... it's a learning book!
Jungkook: You're not counting on me to read that with you?
Kwan laid down on his brother's bed. Jungkook dropped his bag near his desk and took off his jacket. He entered into his walking closet and looked at his baby brother through the standing mirror. He saw the little boy yawning but forcing himself to stay awaken. He took a pant and a t-shirt.
Jungkook: Don't fall asleep in my bed!
Kwan: (Murmuring with a frown.)... Hyung is not cool...
Jungkook smiled at Kwan's expression, and he entered his bathroom. He took a quick shower, knowing that his brother was waiting for him. He came back in his room with wet hair that he was drying with the towel.
Jungkook: You look exhausted, go to sleep in your bed.
Kwan: Hyung... I'm not going to see Noona before to sleep now?
Jungkook: Your sister abandoned us for a stupid guy... I tried to prevent that but... you saw the result with your own eyes... our Mommy is dangerous if we don't listen to her...
Kwan: I don't like that...
Jungkook: (He laid down next to Kwan.) Me neither! (He took the book and looked at it.) Why don't you choose a fairy tale or something like that... just like kids of your age... instead of this? It looks like you already have homework to do...
Kwan: I want to learn quickly so Mommy will be proud of me!
Jungkook: You don't need this for that...
Kwan kept his plush close to him while Jungkook was reading the little words for him. After barely 5 minutes, the little boy didn't repeat a word after Jungkook and the young man looked at him, to find him asleep.
Jungkook put his brother's book on the night table, and he stayed on his phone for about an hour. He didn't know if it was because Kwan sleeping next to him, but he fell asleep pretty early that night.
The dinner was quiet at home with only Mr Kim and his wife, Yoongi, Hoseok and Taehyung. Jin and Namjoon left a bit earlier for a reception where Yoongi didn't want to go. Jimin came back home after a private dinner he made for one of his famous client.
When they headed upstairs after dinner, Mr Kim and Yejin were surprised to see Kwan's bedroom door open. Yejin went to check on Y/N's bedroom, thinking that the little boy could have gone there while Mr Kim was going to ask to Jungkook.
He barely knocked and entered, but stopped when he noticed his two sons deeply asleep. Yejin arrived two seconds later, and she tapped on his shoulder with a smile. She nodded and they left.
Mrs Son: They were so cute, sleeping together... it almost makes me forget about all the stupid things Jungkook did lately...
Mr Kim: Hum... cute... indeed... by the way, Y/N told you around what time she planned to come home?
Mrs Son: She texted me, they just dropped off Ji-Won and they are on their way back... Aman also told me that everything went well.
Mr Kim put his hand in his wife's back to join their bedroom.
Mr Kim: I see that Madam has her own informer...
Mrs Son: I trust Y/N's judgement and I encouraged her to have a boyfriend but... no offense, but I don't blindly trust men, Ji-Won a man, so I prefer to be sure that my daughter is in security with him...
Mr Kim: I totally understand you, don't worry... and you probably guessed that I made a full check of that boy and his family.
Mrs Son: It's not a surprise. I know that you like to have things in control and always knows everything... Mr Kim...
Mr Kim: I'm taking that as a compliment... let's rest until our daughter comes home then we can eventually take time for ourselves.
The parents retreated in their bedroom and when they had confirmation that Y/N was safely at home, they shared an adults' moment together before falling asleep in each others' embrace. Regarding Y/N, she quickly took a shower before exchanging by messages with Sohyun about the extraordinary dinner date she had.
And for sure, few hours earlier, her dinner date was way more enjoyable than her date during lunch time with her elder brother sitting next to her.
She was happy that Jin made the effort to give Ji-Won a chance, but Jin was Jin, her sweetest brother but also, for Y/N, someone imposing, and one who we have to show respect.
Even Ji-Won was more comfortable wen they were only the two of them, after forgetting that Aman was not far.
Not having someone, able and ready to kill you in a minute, helped the young man a lot for his second date. He was more relax, making jokes and even daring holding Y/N's hand on the table.
Y/N was also glad but even if she claimed to be an adult, deep down, she was an inexperienced little girl and not knowing what to do during a date in real life... because real life is not what she read in her webtoons... and she knew that!
Y/N: You work with Hobi Oppa tomorrow?
Ji-Won: Yep, I don't know what ideas he will find this time... he was very creative lately.
Y/N: He is doing so much for the neighborhood, I'm proud of him! He is very good with the children and at teaching... you know, he even taught me how to swim years ago.
Ji-Won: He is very good and frankly speaking, inspiring.
Y/N: You could do the same! There must be a way for you to pursue your goal and to gain money!
Ji-Won: Going back to university is difficult for me for the moment... but maybe later, when my father will recover enough, I will think about my options.
Y/N felt a bit sorry for few seconds. She could still have been in the same type of situation if her mother hadn't met her father, and their lives changing so much.
But she quickly swiped that thought of her mind, not wanting to pity the young man. She preferred to encourage him and help him to develop the skills that she saw in him the past weeks at the center. It was her personal goal, no matter where their relationship will take them.
