Brandy was in the kitchen,preparing a customer's order when she heard a voice which she loved to hear.
"Hello brandy."She smiled and turned around smiling. There was her husband walking up to her behind him were his husband's brothers and two girl trolls.
Brandy picked up her husband and hugged him.
"Welcome home bruce.I missed you so much." Just then their 13 kids came running and on seeing bruce they began to excitedly cry out.
"Daddy we missed you."
"Daddy, can we go to trollstopia with you next time you go?"
"Kids please settle down.your father just got back." Brandy smiled. The kids then turned and seeing their uncles and poppy and viva ran to them.
Bruce smiled at his wife. "Hey Brandy is it alright if my brothers and the girls spend the weekend her at vacay island. See Floyd's been having nightmares about velvet and I thought..."
"That spending the weekend here will help him relax and forget about velvet so he stops having nightmares?" Brandy them smiled. "That's a wonderful idea bruce. It'll give me and the kids time to get to know your brothers a lot better."
"And out future aunt poppy." La breezy said.
"Can we attend the wedding?" Bruce Jr asked. "We promise to be good."
Branch and Poppy looked nervous they blushed.
Branch started to stammer nervously. "I'm not ready for that yet. Poppy and I became boyfriend and girlfriend 2 months ago."
Poppy looked nervous "I'm not ready to get married yet." She said.
"OK Bruce Jr. That's enough about marriage. Poppy and Branch are not ready for that step yet." Bruce said. Besides its way too soon for them to get married.
Bruce Jr looked down. "Sorry uncle branch he said
Branch smiled gently. "It's ok bruce jr." Bruce Jr headed to the kitchen. "Dad can I have a cookie " his father handed him a cookie with Bruce Jr began to eat.
Labreezie was siting talking to clay while viva braided her hair.
Later on after having g lunch. Popy, branch, viva, clay, John dory, and Floyd were in their swim outfits and were putting on sunscreen.
John dory was about to put some sunscreen on rhonda when Clay said. "John I don't think rhonda needs sunscreen."
John dory paused and looked at rhonda who looked rather displeased about the fact that John Dory had been about to put sunscreen on her.
"Sorry girl." John dory said as he rubbed Rhonda who purred and nestled into the sNd closing her eyes for a nap.
Soon all the trolls came out with sunscreen on.
"OK that's everyone. Now we can have some fun in the sun." Viva squealed.
"Hang on viva." We need to wait for the sunscreen to dry. We need to wait about 20 minutes." Clay said
Viva frowned . "So what can we do while we wait?"
"Well we can talk about what we been doing for 20 years. Except for branch and Floyd they already did." Poppy said.
"Hey did I ever tell you guys how I met rhonda?"
Clay replied
" no but I get the feeling that you are about to."Bruce said.
John dory smiled. "OK so it was at the neverglade trail. I had been hiking all day and was feeling tired so, I decided to set up camp for the night. I got out my tent and set it up.
I was making some dinner when I heard a rustle coming from the bushes. I got nervous.
So I said. 'Who's there?'
Of course there was no answer, I thought I had imagined it and continued to make my dinner. I had sat down to eat when I saw a bush rustle. I put my plate aside and went parted the bushes to see her. I didn't see anything so I went back to the campsite only to see a lump in my blanket. I felt nervous so I slowly lifted the corner of the blanket and saw something in there, and it was eating my granola bar.
Flashback*
"Hey! That's mine! Give it back! Hey I need that. That's my afternoon snack!" John Dory cried out as he chased after the armadilo who took off and just as John dory was about to catch her she burrowed into the ground. John dory groaned. "Fine keep it." He grumpily went back to camp and ate his meal. That night as he lay in his sleeping bag he heard a whimper he sat up, pulling on his hair making it light up. And there he saw the armadilo, she was hopping on her 3 paws wait 3 paws? She only had 4 paws. Was... was it hurt?
As angry as he had been about loosing his granola bar, he went over to the armadilo who whimpered its small body shaking in fear.
"Shhh. It's ok. I'm not gonna hurt you. Let me see that paw." John dory said
Slowly the armadillo limped towards John dory and held out its paw to him.
"Ah, you got a thorn in that paw. Don't worry I can help." He reached into his pack and pulled out a first aid kit and took out a pair of tweezes. The armadilo squirmed fearfully crying.
John dory paled, he hoped the mama armadilo didn't show up or he was gonna be in big trouble.
"Shh, calm down I need to get that thorn out." He said as he stroked the armadillo this calmed her down, she even purred.
Using the tweezers John dory pulled out the thorn. "There we go that feels a lot better huh?"
The armadilo stared at its foot then at john dory before it lept up and licked him showing him her gratitude.
"OK calm down. It was nothing. Now you better get back home little one."
With that the armadillo scurried off and John dory was a little sad to see it go, but shrugged pulled his hair to turn off the light and went to bed.
A few days later John dory was taking a nap, when he heard a sound. He woke up. He gulped hearing the hissing noise. He saw it. It was a large snake and it was moving towards him
John dory froze, he couldn't think he couldn't move.
But luckily he didn't have to. At that moment something lept in front of him growling.
It was the small armadillo. The made angry noises and snapped at the snake who eventually decided this troll was not on the menu and slithered away.
The moment the snake left the armadillo turned to John dory and nuzzled his hand.
John dory sighed.
"Thank you. You saved my life. I guess this makes us even now." Just then the armadillo lept to the ground and burrowed in the ground moments later it returned with the granola bar stil in the wrapper. She nudged it towards John dory. Panting happily.
"Thank you." John dory said. He then smiled at the armadillo. "You're such a brave girl."
Later on as John packed his pack and headed back to the trail he looked back to see the small armadilo following him. He was confused why was she following him?
"Why you following me girl." The armadillo nuzzled john dory.
Then John dory had a thought. Was this little armadillo all alone. He gently pet her.
"Well, I guess I could use a friend. I'm John dory. Now what should I call you." He looked at her carefully and smiled. "How about Rhonda."
Rhonda ram around excitedly leaping up and down. She loved her name. John dory smiled and kneeling down hugged rhonda who licked him."
End flashback*
"And that's how I met Rhonda and she's been by my side ever since."
"No way. Rhonda saved you from a snake that's so fantastamazing." Viva said
"I was worried when she got bigger she would leave me but she didn't she stayed with me. She's such a loyal girl." John dory said as he rubbed Rhonda gently. Rhonda let out a sleepy purr.
Branch smiled. "Hey looks like out sunscreen soaked in."
Viva smiled happily. Now we can go have fun.
