Anaisha's POV

As I pace nervously outside the hospital room, my heart thuds against my chest. The doctor promised good news today, and every second feels like an eternity waiting for him to arrive.

"Anaisha?"

Dr. Dixit's voice breaks through my anxious thoughts, his kind eyes meeting mine as he steps out of the consultation room.

"I have some news."

My breath catches in my throat, a mixture of hope and fear swirling within me.

Dr. Dixit clears his throat, glancing down at the clipboard in his hands before looking back up at me.

"We found a match for Anayra's bone marrow transplant."

My heart leaps with joy, tears pricking my eyes as relief floods through me. I had found 7 months ago that Anayra has aplastic anemia - a disorder characterized by insufficient production of blood cells by bone marrow. Because of which she was not able to freely play with other kids, she can't run around as she gets tired too easily. Even when I always tried to be strong for her it always broke my heart whenever she was just walking in the park with me while staring at the group of children running around and playing. It felt to me as if the disease wasn't letting my daughter have her childhood.

But now finally she could have the surgery and Play with kids her age, race around, sit on amusement rides and enjoy her childhood without any risks..

I came out of my thoughts through Dr.Dixit's voice.

"But there's some condition by this donor..."

His words send a chill down my spine, curiosity piqued despite the good news.

"He wishes to remain anonymous. He Doesn't want his identity to come out."

I frown, trying to understand why someone would help us but not reveal their identity.

"Anaisha, See I know this person personally too so I can take guarantee that he's not some fraud or anything."

Despite the peculiar request for anonymity, I couldn't deny the overwhelming gratitude I felt towards this mysterious benefactor. My little Anayra deserved a chance at a normal life, and thanks to this stranger, she might just get it.

"Anonymous donors aren't unheard of, Dr. Dixit!"

I manage a weak smile, trying to convince myself that everything would work out fine in the end.

Dr. Dixit nods understandingly, his expression softening as he places a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"It may seem odd, Anaisha, but sometimes people choose to do good without seeking recognition."

His words resonate with me, reminding me of the kindness shown by strangers during our darkest moments.

"We've run all necessary tests and confirmed that the donor is indeed a perfect match for Anayra."

With a grateful sigh, I nod at Dr. Patel, my mind racing with questions about the anonymous donor.

"Thank you for finding this match, Doctor."

My voice trembles slightly as emotion threatens to overwhelm me once again.

"It means more than you know."

Dr. Patel offers me a reassuring smile before excusing himself to attend to other patients.

With renewed determination, I push open the door to Anayra's hospital room, eager to share the good news with my precious daughter. She lies peacefully on her bed, her tiny frame dwarfed by medical equipment surrounding her. She had to come to the hospital once Every week to keep a check on her health.

"Anayra darling, guess what?"

I whisper softly, gently stroking her cheek as she stirs awake at the sound of my voice.

"We found a donor for your bone marrow transplant!"

Her eyes widen in surprise and delight, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"Really mumma?"

She asks excitedly, clapping her hands together in glee. She is a strong and smart kid. I tried to hide her condition from her but one day she heard me talking about it with Arjun and she told me she's a big girl and can handle everything. She's like a little blessing to me. She's my strength. She's even stronger than me.

Gathered around the table laden with delicious food, Anaisha couldn't contain her excitement any longer. She shared the incredible news about the bone marrow donor with Arjun and Sara, both of whom reacted with equal parts shock and happiness.

"Arjuna!"

She exclaimed, grabbing his arm excitedly as tears welled up in her eyes.

"We found a match for Anayra's transplant!"

Arjun stared at her incredulously before pulling her into a tight hug, relief washing over him like a tidal wave.

As the friends sat down to enjoy their celebratory dinner, Anaisha couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Gratitude towards the anonymous donor was overshadowed by concern for Anayra's health and lingering curiosity about the person who had saved her daughter's life.

Sara asked her thoughts out curiously,

"have you ever wondered why someone would want to remain anonymous after doing something so selfless?"

She asked quietly, spearing a piece of grilled chicken onto her plate.

Arjun nodded thoughtfully, adding his own perspective to the discussion

"Maybe they value privacy above all else or perhaps they believe that helping others shouldn't require public recognition. It could even be because they wanted to avoid any emotional attachment with us."

Anaisha pondered Arjun's words, letting them sink in as she took a sip of water. The idea that the donor might not want any emotional connection made sense to her, given their desire for anonymity.

"But isn't it strange?"

She mused aloud, setting down her glass with a soft thud.

"To save someone's life and then walk away without wanting anything in return...it seems almost surreal."

Sara chimed in, offering her own opinion on the matter

"Perhaps they simply trust humanity enough to believe that acts of kindness will inspire others to pay it forward."

As the evening wore on, the friends continued discussing the enigma of their anonymous savior. Their conversation shifted to lighter topics as they enjoyed each other's company and relished in the joy brought by this newfound hope for Anayra's recovery.

Back at Anaisha's home, laughter echoed through the air as Arjun regaled them with hilarious stories from college days. Sara joined in, recounting her own adventures that left everyone doubled over with laughter.

Author's POV

The sun cast a warm glow over the park as Anayra skipped along the path, her nanny trailing closely behind. Today was meant to be a day of rest for the young girl, who hadn't been feeling well enough to attend her usual study sessions. Instead, she found solace in the gentle sway of tree branches overhead and the chirping birds that accompanied them.

As they strolled further into the park, Anayra noticed an elderly gentleman sitting on a nearby bench, clutching his chest with one hand while gasping for air. Without hesitation, she rushed towards him carrying her small water bottle in tow.

Opening it hastily. she offered it to him with a concerned look on her face.

"Here,"

she said softly, extending the bottle towards him.

The old man, taken aback by the young girl's swift action and genuine concern, accepted the water bottle with trembling hands. After taking a few sips, he managed to catch his breath and looked up at Anayra with surprise in his eyes.

"Thank you, my dear",

he said hoarsely, wiping sweat from his brow.

"You're quite the little helper!"

He chuckled lightly as he returned the now-empty bottle to her tiny outstretched hand.

As they sat together on the bench, catching their breaths and enjoying each other's company amidst the tranquility of the park, Anayra couldn't help but feel drawn to this kind stranger. She chattered away happily about everything under the sun - from her favorite toys to her love for animals - while he listened intently with a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

As the minutes ticked by, the unlikely duo continued their animated conversation in the park. The old man found himself thoroughly entertained by Anayra's infectious enthusiasm and curious mind. He couldn't help but marvel at how easily she seemed to navigate through life's challenges, despite her tender age.

"My dear child",

he said fondly, tousling her hair playfully

"you remind me so much of myself when I was your age. Always full of energy and eager to explore every corner of this beautiful world we live in!"

Anayra grinned from ear to ear, delighted by the comparison. She loved hearing stories about people who shared her passion for learning and adventure.

"Pops",

- she has started addressing him as pops because he said that he's not an old man and could still run a marathon.

she addressed him gently, pointing towards herself with a mischievous glint in her eye,

"I want to be just like you someday!"

The old man looked at her with a emotional look. It touched his heart that this little kiddo liked him so much. He looked at her lovingly and said,

"Kiddo, you are already better than me. You are such a brilliant kid."

They continued their talk while having little and cut chats while Anayra's nanny kept her distance but maintain her look on Anayra to check no harm is done. She also find the Old man decent and harmless.

As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the park, Anayra and her newfound friend continued their lively banter. The old man couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth spreading through his heart as he watched the young girl's eyes light up with excitement at every turn of phrase.

"My dear child",

he said affectionately, reaching out to ruffle her hair once more,

"you truly are a delight! But tell me, what brings you here today? Surely there must be someone looking for you."

Anayra giggled shyly, lowering her gaze before replying in her characteristic baby talk

"Nanny came today as mumma busy in work time. So no school or learny stuffs today."

After sometime they bid their byes and left for their separate homes.
