Bella breathed a sigh of relief but she saw his angry face when he left. She thought Murphy was calm and gentle but her thinking was wrong.
After maintaining her clothes, she walks out of the locker room only to bump into Markela, the person she never wanted to see.
" So you didn't take my words seriously, you still went to get entangled with Murphy, right?" Markela asked.
" It's not what you think Markela, I couldn't refuse him." Bella begged as she remembered what Markela said to her before.
" And why can't you refuse him?" She asked again.
Bella suddenly becomes angry and shouted. "Why do you care if I date Murphy, don't you already have Darlington all to yourself, or do you want to secretly date Murphy?" Bella shot back after remembering everything that Markela had done to her.
" You dare to say that, just you wait and see." Markela walked away.
" Just you wait and see, that's all you have been saying ever since!" Bella shouted as Markela walked away.
She didn't know why she suddenly became angry.
Walking back to class, she sat on her chair.
Kath saw her angry face but didn't say anything, she was the one who accepted Murphy out of her own will so she should deal with it.
When it was an hour to free time, they all went to the field for training.
Bella and Kath changed into their jerseys and took their pompoms.
Markela walked into the field with Mrs Linda. " Line up if you are participating."
After been arranged in their formation, they were told to do some exercise before they continue while Mrs Linda and Markela were discussing somethings with Mr Luke.
Bella looked over at the boys training but what she saw shocked her.
She saw Murphy and Cortney talking while holding hands in a corner and she was sure that they weren't talking about something good.
From the way Murphy's eyes stared at Cortney, Bella could tell that they were up to something.
She saw Cortney whispering some words into Murphy's ears which made his eyes darken. Then the next minute, she saw Cortney dragging Murphy out of the field and soon they disappeared.
Bella couldn't believe her eyes. She wanted to follow them but at that time the meeting was already over.
They started their training and through out the training, Murphy and Cortney didn't come back to the field.
Bella wanted to go and look for him but when she found him what would she say.
She went back to class, a little bit angry.
The next day, Bella called Murphy but he ignored her multiple times so she too decided to ignore him.
Through out the day they both ignored each other, Bella didn't say anything, she continued playing the ignoring game with him.
She was going to wait and see what will happen the next day.
Bella started regretting ever saying yes to Murphy. The way girls talked so good about him made her think that he was prince charming.
Why did she ever date this boy, she just wanted to have a normal boyfriend but it seemed fate didn't want her to have that.
Bella and Kath were on their seat when a girl suddenly walked towards them with a stack of paper in her hand.
" Audition in on, audition in on, participate and get the chance to play a role in the school's play' Highschool Love'. The position for female and male lead are still available now, join the drama club please." The girl said then handed them two flyers before walking away.
Bella looked at it and smiled. " Kath, I want to join, maybe I'll get a role to play."
" Are you sure, well since it just started quickly join before the queens of the drama club get informed." Kath said.
" Ok, let's go."
They both walked into the office of the teacher responsible for the drama club.
" I'll like to audition for a role in the school play." Bella said. She was a little shocked to see that it was a male teacher, wasn't it always female teacher that conducted school plays.
" Take this form and fill in for which role you want to play." The teacher said.
Bella took the form and went to another table to fill it. She looked at the different roles and her eyes stopped on the first one on the list.
Kath looked at her then nodded her head. She also saw the role Bella wanted to go for.
Bella smiled as she ticked the role of the female lead. After filling in the other informations, she walked back to the teacher's table. " Sir!" Bella called but got no answer. She Looked at his name tag on the table. " Mr Fran...ki!"
" It's Mr Frankini!" He said then yanked the paper from my hand. Looking at it, he scoffed,
" Female lead, are you here to play or what? I don't a want female lead that will tell me that she can't act in a kissing scene with the male lead, even if he's ugly or not, I don't care. Just so you know, if you are not good enough, I won't hesitate to change you so you better be good. Audition starts tomorrow." Mr Frankini said then continued with what he was doing, completely ignoring them again.
" Let's go Bella." Kath said, obviously displeased with the teacher's behavior.
They both walk around the hallway.
" Ryan, are you going to apply for a role in the school play, if you are I will also apply for a role!" A girl said.
" Me too, please apply for the male lead so that I can apply for the female lead, this is your second time playing the male lead."
Ryan looked at all of them then stood up before saying, " You can only be the female lead if you are good at acting." After that he walked out of the class.
" Let's go and sign up for the female lead."
" Ok."
The two girls quickly ran out of the class.
Bella and Kath climbed the stairs that led to the up floor. Before Bella could even look around, a force had already pulled her and trap her on the wall.
" Do you plan to ignore me all day?" Murphy asked with a gloomy face.
" Murphy, let me go." Bella struggled.
" I don't want to, I miss you Bella." Murphy said then grabbed her waist.
Thinking of when she saw Murphy and Cortney together in the field, she didn't believe his words anymore.
What type of boy misses one girl but goes to meet another one.
" What happened, why do you look angry?" Murphy asked.
" Why didn't I see you in the field during training?" Bella asked as she placed her hands on her hips and looked at him waiting for his answer.
" Oh, Cortney wanted to show me something so I followed her." Murphy truthfully replied.
" So there's nothing going on between the two of you?" Bella asked again.
" Not at all." Murphy replied but there was a slight pause in his answer.
Well, since he said there was nothing between them, then she shouldn't overthink.
" What were you thinking about?" Murphy seemed to notice her thinking about something earlier.
" Nothing!" Bella quickly denied.
Bella looked around for Kath but Kath had already left. Now it was only the two of them.
Since there was no one else, Bella happily ran back and forth on the passage. Murphy chased after her and when they ran out of breath, they both stood close to the railing to receive fresh air.
The closing bell rang out through the hallway. The sound of footsteps moving, lockers closing and students chattering soon filled the hallway.
Murphy turned to look at Bella, " Let's go down."
" Ok, last person to go down the stairs is a rotten egg." Bella shouted then ran down the stairs as fast as her legs could carry but she didn't expect Murphy to catch up in the next minute.
Before she got to the end of the stairs, Bella was already panting. Looking at Murphy, he didn't even look like he was short of breath.
" Not fair, how did I lose!" Bella pouted.
Murphy laughed then hugged her before saying, " My ride is already here, I'll see you tomorrow. Better luck next time." He said then jogged into the hallway.
The unprepared Bella was still shocked by the sudden hug but she soon snapped out of it after hearing Kath calling her.
