It's the morning of the party. I look over to the other side and Jay was still sound asleep. I roll over and just look at how peaceful he was. Drawing tiny circles on his chest with my finger as I take this sight in with his steady breathing.
"Goodmorning beautiful" he says groggily
"Morning" I say back
"It's a big day today. I can't believe the kids are turning 3 already" he says
"Time flies by fast. Come on get up" I say before getting up
"You know, I didn't get my dessert last night" Jay chuckles
"Well you're just gonna have to wait a little longer I suppose" I said before going into the bathroom
I took a quick shower then put on a two piece leopard print dress. I curled my hair into loose waves and did my basic winged makeup and lashes.
"Well hot damn mama" Jay said coming in
"Not too much now" I said giving him a peck on the cheek before heading over to the kids room
"Mama what are we wearing?" Halston asks
"I got you both these safari jumpsuits" I said pulling them out of the closet
"Hey our names are on there!" Kai says
"That's cool" Halston says
"Let's hop in the shower and get you guys ready" I said
I showered them both then dressed. I brushed Kai's hair back and spiked the front a bit. For Halston, I put her hair up a high ponytail with a bow.
"Thank you mama" Halston says
"Where's daddy?" Kai asks
"He's in the room getting ready. You guys can go in" I said
I followed the kids back into my room where Jay was.
"You look cool daddy!" Halston chimes
"Do I? Mama said I don't" Jay tease
"I did not!" I pouted
"I'm just joking. You both ready for your party?" Jay chuckles
"Yes!" Both kids yelled
We all headed downstairs and prepared for the arrival of all the guests.
-2 hours later-
The guests have arrived. PD and Fire crew were all here along with their significant others. A few of my friends and family were here as well. The kids were really enjoying their time with the other kids. Gifts filled the table and lots of pictures were being taken.
"The decorations are phenomenal" Erin says
"Thank you! Took me and Jay all night to prepare it" I laughed
"Why don't you got a drink in your hand?" Sylvie asks
I shrugged.
"SHUT UP YOUR NOT" Gabby says once she figured it out
"Surprise?" I say
"NO WAY! I'm gonna be an aunt again!" Gabby says as she embraces me into a hug
"What!?! No way!" Matt says coming up to us
"Yes way" I say shyly
"Congratulations" Matt says hugging me
"Mhm thanks" I say
"I sense a but coming" Sylvie says
"Yeah...I don't know who the father is" I say
"What do you mean?" Erin asks
"The whole situation is messy. Me and Jay messed around while I was still with Alex and then everything happened and here we are" I said
"Does Alex know?" Matt asks
"I had a feeling it was planned. Because he showed at the pharmacy the other day when I went to buy a test" I said
"He's been watching this whole. That bastard" Erin says
"I'm gonna go for a DNA test when it's time. I just don't know if I could go through this pregnancy if it's Alex's baby" I said
"Don't worry, we'll help you through this" Gabby says

Jay's POV
The girls are having their little talk in their circle as I'm over her hanging with the boys.
"So how's everything?" Hank asks
"Everything is running smoothly" I say
"A congratulations are in order" Matt says walking over with a tray of shots
"How come? For who?" Adam asks
"Jay is about to be a father again. Val's pregnant" Matt says handing out the shots
"No way! Congrats man!" Kevin says patting me on the back
"Cheers to that!" Kelly says raising his glass
"Thanks guys" I said before downing the shots
"We'll be with you every step of the way" Matt reassures me
"Thanks bro. I just wanna find that bastard" I said
"We got this don't worry" Hank says
"I hope so before the baby arrives. We are planning for a DNA test to be done when it's time" I say
"I'm sure it's yours man. Don't stress too much" Adam says
"I know but I'm just worried for Val. She's been through enough" I said
"Understandable. But let's just take one step at a time. Time will tell soon" Kevin says
-4 hours later-
It's time to do the cake. Val and I gathered everyone around the cake table and got the kids up on chairs.
"Cake time!!" Halston screams
"Are we ready to sing?" Val asks everyone
Everyone begins to sing "Happy Birthday" to the kids. Each friends and family got their chance to take pictures with us.
"We want to thank our mommy and daddy for this awesome birthday!" Kai shouts
"The best parents ever!" Halston chimes
"We love you both!" I say hugging them
"Anything for you my babies" Val says kissing them
"Alright who wants cake?" Val says
"Me!" both kids shouted
Val cuts the cake while I help distributed it to everyone. The kids ran off with their friends and everyone went back to what they were doing.
I helped Val clean up some things so that we won't have much to do later in tonight. I bring some of the food trays back into the kitchen as Val washes some of the dishes.
"Thank you" Val says
"Anything for you babe" I say as I hug her from behind
"You know, we have a few minutes before we have to get back to our guests" Val smirks
"Say less" I said before picking her up and walking into the bathroom
